Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

It’s Saturday morning.It’s raining in the UK 🤣So I sit down to listen to some music.At least I would if the App actually worked and my Sonos system did not keep stuttering and stopping.When Van Morrison sung “Mama told me there’d be days like this” I did not expect it to mean that my historically reliable Sonos system would refuse to play music on a wet Saturday morning in the UK.And that is why I hate the new App.

I have a Beam Gen2 and a pair of Threes as rear speakers.If I want to take sound output from my PC to my tv.How do I watch the pc output and put the sound through Sonos?

HeyI've got a surround setup with an Arc, 2 fives and 2 subs. It's setup at the tv and couch area, which is part of a big room which is also the living room.I've been think of adding an extra speaker (Era 100) to fill the room a bit more, when listening to music. But i have to add it as a different group if so. But hence a different group and not stereo, i'm worried i'll sound a bit off compared to the other speakers  

On the app how do you play for instance BBC Radio 2 on my play 1 called Kitchen downstairs and another radio station on my play 3 upstairs called bedroom 

Are there any brackets to mount Arc Ultra under the TV?

Hi there SONOS community !I have a question about line in on SONOS 5’s.  I have two SONOS 5’s linked as a stereo pair. The right hand has a line in from a Project turntable connected to it. Can I connect another audio device to the line in on the left hand ? My scenario is to add an old hifi that has tape and CD so I can play those media through the SONOS 5 pair. The turntable and other hifi components are at opposite sides of the room. Obviously not both playing at the same time!Thanks in advance for the advice.  Kieron 

Hi there is there is there a way I can control my Sonos soundbar too any remote control I’ve misplaced mine and now I can only use turn it up and down from the speaker itself is there a fix for this thanks ? Any help would be great 

I have 2 sonos ones in my kitchen (directly behind my living room) and would like to setup as rear surround sound. Currently, I have 2 different Sonos setups, the "Living Room" which includes a Sonos Arc and Sonos Sub, and my "Kitchen" which includes 2 Sonos Ones. When I go into the App and try to add the Sonos Ones as rear surround speakers by selecting “Set up surrounds”, it doesn't recognize the Ones and states, "Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add surrounds". All speakers are connected to my Wi-Fi. What am I doing wrong, and how do I get the Sonos app to recognize the Sonos Ones as surround speakers?  Thank you

Hi all, I have owned for a few years now a pair on One SL and a Beam and they have been fairly good when set up as a home theatre. I recently picked up a pair of Era 100s to add to system. Can this be done and if so how? I have tried through the app and it seems I can only either have the Era 100 pair as surrounds or the pair of One SL but not both. Please help.

After receiving contact from some boss at Sonos about fixing all the new app problems- I am not surprised to find that nothing has changed. Random connecting- so slow when choosing radio station- locking- freezing- not recognising products- volume not working - just about all the things that were wrong ARE STILL HERE! When you see posh houses advertised in The Times with the added bonus of Sonos networked sound you thing poor sods- it must take £5K off the house!!!!

Ok, so at some point i decided to move my 2x one sl and beam, set up new account, made reset on all speakers, and… the hell started. First of all, no matter what i do, none of the speakers accept wifi networks, they see them, but reject connecting, one sl’s can even connect to 5g ones, but beam only seems to accept 2.4 g one, but no love on connecting, so decided to just go with ethernet, once again, app sees the speaker, accepts audio pin, then states it has issue to connect with wifi “” and … nothing, so cant tie speakers with no wifi nor lan - any ideas ? 

Hi, I’m interested in the Sonos Ace Headsets but want to make sure I can connect two of them at the same time so my better half and I can watch TV without disturbing the rest of the family? If the answer to my question is a yes, I’ll be placing an order immediately if not I’ll have to wait until that feature becomes available.Thanks!

how can I resolve this issue ? App tells me to finish the setup and when I click on it, it says not registered, when I start registration process I get this error. 

I think I’m getting close to finally connecting my main Sonos Music Library that resides on a 1TB Crucial X8 drive. After updating the speaker firmware and the Sonos S2 controller on our iMac (Sonoma OS), I was able to play music from the iMac controller but, when adding that library to the iOS app, I continually got the “Access Denied - Check User Name and Password.”With that being said, I’m assuming that I use the network path for that iMac and music folder, the user name for that iMac and, the password used to start up and access that iMac… correct? I’ve triple-checked those credentials and they seem correct. Unlike the links on a Sonos video link, I’m typing the network path thusly:  //Carols-iMac/Sonos Family Room   I’ve also seen “ \\ “ .  (As a point of clarification, Sonophone has no issue with this network path and I’m able to play my music via this method. I have just about had it with Sonos. In a world of smart people who do this for a living, how are they not able to fix the issues? My system is older (Playbar, Play 1) but that shouldn't matter as long as they are supporting them. Maybe someone here can help me. I start playing music using the Sonos app. I select my room(s) and off it goes. However, after a short time, if I go back into the app, it shows my queue is empty. I can't do anything with what is playing. Even worse, I couldn't answer a call because I had my music louder and I couldn't use the app to pause it. I know I can use the button on the decice but that isn't always the option if I'm in another room. The same thing happens using Spotify or Apple. I don't get it. Figure this out already. I've been a customer a long time but I am at my end point. Makes me not want to upgrade my stuff at all.

Found my previously fine ZP90 flashing red indicating it needed  a reboot post upgrade (which I did not instigate). Rebooted it and now it’s dead. Plenty of comments going around about Sonos bricking old hardware, but nee to know if I’m missing something before considering the future. I have a mainly S1 system as it suits my needs. S1 was/is working fine on the rest of the devices, so maybe this is isolated, but this is the wired component and the rest is wireless from it. Doing the prescribed restart (hold in the mute whilst power on does nothing). LAN lights ok, but cannot connect via IP or LAN address. I’m an IT professional, so understand the network, architecture etc, so no, it’s not network related and only affects this item.  What next?

4 Sonos ports on managed switch experiencing drop outs. and If we attempt to play music in 3 zones, 1 zone will drop out.We have 4 ports that we want to play the same music through. lets call them 1,2,3,4.We cannot select all four, max 2. Got the Sonos Ace when it came out. Was able to connect fine to my Arc and eventually my two Beams (Gen 1) in various rooms when they updated the software. Haven’t used my headset in a while and just tried TV Swap and it won’t work. Every time I press the connect button and it makes the searching tone, it just plays a thud sound and reconnects to Bluetooth. I updated to the most recent software. I factory reset the headphones and added them back to my account. Still no luck. Anyone else having this issue and know a fix?   Continue to be disappointed with the new and improved Sonos. Had their system for over a decade and it was simply bulletproof. For the last year it’s been nothing but connection and software issues all the time. Amazing they could screw up such a good thing.

I was blown away by the Atmos sound when playing some movies on Netflix. I decided to also turn on Dolby Atmos on my PS5. Unfortunately, since then whenever I use the console and then go back to use any TV App like Netflix or HBO the sound stutters for a second every minute or so. The only way to bring it back is to unplug all HDMI devices, turn off TV for a minute and same for Arc Ultra. What happens and how can I prevent that?Desirable solution:I want to use both TV apps and PS5 without any issues, still using Dolby Atmos on PS5 and also in my movies.

Since the May app upgrade I have almost abandoned my Sonos system . Th Sonos 1 app only sees 1 of my 5 units.  I have Sonos 2 app installed on another computer in my upstairs office and that sees 2 other units, but not the one seen by the Sonos1 app. I contacted support and then spent a long time rushing up and down stairs turning things off and on, all to no avail. Is there now a fix or is all this kit destined for the skip?I have 2 x Play 1’s as a pair in one room, 2 other Play 1’s in 2 different rooms and 1 Play 3 in another room.

When connecting the headphones to the TV will the TV still play through my other Sonos speakers? My wife is hard of hearing and want to her use the headphones while we are both watching TV

Sonos arc works thru the app when I play music but when I switch to TV it doesn’t play.  Just started happening.  I was able hear Sonos both thrust and music app via Sonos now nothing on the tv. 

Hello!I’m moving into a new place that has wired speakers throughout the house. The wall plate has a 3.5mm input that uses cat5 to a panel in the basement. The speakers then go from the panel to the rest of the house. The amp has the speaker connectors to output to the speakers but I can’t do that. So my question is, Can I use a 3.5mm to speaker wire adapter? Or can I go from speaker wire to RCA to 3.5mm jack?Thanks everyone!

Hi All, My Sonos system (Arc, Sub, 2x300’s) works perfectly. No issues there. I can log in to the app, again, no problem. However...I also have a pair of Ace headphones and while they are connected to the App, I cannot enable the handover feature from the Arc because it ask me to log in again (I am logged in!) and this is just a repeating cycle that never gets to the next step. So...given the issues a lot of folks have had, I am loathe to delete the App and try to start over to fix this. Is there a fix where I do not have to reset/delete?  Cheers!
