Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have been using the Playbar with BT box for several years. I used the BT remote to adjust volume on the PlaybarI recently bought a new Pansonic TV. The TV is connected to the BT box with an Hdmi cable; the TV is also connected to a DVD player via HDMI. the TV is connected to the Playbar with a cableI can change channels etc with the BT remote so that is functioning fine but I cannot make any volume adjustments using the BT remote. I have tried to get the TV remote to adjust the volume of the Playbar but also with no success.How can I adjust volume on the Playbar?  

I have Sonos Port connected via CO-AX to an A/V Receiver. Three other Sonos speakers, at the corners of a large room, are all within listening radius for each other including the receiver listening to the Port’s output. Regardless of Audio Delay settings the Port is always just a few ms lagging behind the other three perfectly synchronized speakers. While enabling the receiver’s PURE DIRECT mode has reduced some lag, it’s still so present where an artificial reverb is created when the Port participates in playback. Is there anything I can do to mitigate this? Is there a chance there’s a way to reach the development team to request injecting a way to set a delay on “the rest of the Sonos installation” to reduce this reverb effect from the Port’s plus receiver’s output lag?

I did not think this was supported before, due to Apple.  For example, I once asked a BluOS dealer why they force you to AirPlay if you want to listen to Apple Music and they said it was because Apple does not support lossless streaming to non-Apple devices, only 256kbps AAC.I have an Era 300 and it's logged into my Apple Music account, like before.  But now on the new app when I see what the speaker is playing it now says “Lossless”.  I don’t remember ever seeing that before.  So…. am I now getting lossless music to my Era 300? 

Hi there,I have bought a used Play 1 that allegedly is supposed to work fine.I don’t have any other Sonos products on my network currently, but I have had a Play 3 until recently (worked fine). I started by factory resetting the device. Then I have tried the following, with the following errors:Tried to add the Play 1 through the Sonos app (not S1). I got to the Wifi-password step, but it won’t accept my wifi password. It says it can’t connect. After a while, a button appears that says “use ethernet cable” or something similar (non-english system). But when I press this, and connect the ethernet cable, it still can’t connect. I tried to add the Play 1 while the network cable was connected. This rendered the list of Wifi-networks empty and I never get to the “use ethernet cable” option. I tried to factory reset the Play 1 while having the ethernet cable connected. This did not make anything different. I have disconnected all other devices from my router, restarted it, etc. No difference

I have no idea why this should happen!I haven’t used SONOS for three weeks, but last night I tried to play some music, but alas, the Music Library has disappeared from my SONOS system.It took me a lot of effort to originally install it - so this is frustrating.The Music is on a Toshiba Hard Drive connected to my desk top computer.I have the SONOS app on my desk top - I click on Settings>Music library settings> Add> Another folder or drive connected to my computer> Browse> click on the drive >Next - and then receive the message “Unable to add the shared folder  (xxxxx )  to your music library (913)” Any advice on how a why the folder cannot be added would be appreciated. Kind Regards,

I can’t seem to figure out how to make my Sonos groups visible to AirPlay. Please help!

I have tried multiple times to ensure the password is correct, but the connection still does not establish and there was a problem linking my Sonos (Amp) to my account!Could you please assist me in troubleshooting this issue? How do I delete unused rooms from my app?

I know there have been a few posts on Google Nest WiFi Pro mesh setups but not seen any definitive answers.  I have installed the mesh WiFi and whilst the Sonos speaker (S1) seems to have found and connected to the network (e.g. I can use Alexa and start internet radio) the Sonos app does not show any connected speakers.   Has anyone managed to get Sonos working with Nest WiFi Pro? I do not have the option to connect via a wire or use the original router as it’s too far away - it needs to connect wirelessly to the Nest access point. 

Will Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 still connect? Or is there no longer any current software to support it?

I have a new router and all my equipment switched but not Sonos Speakers.  I uninstalled it then re-installed now you can’t get it to open.  This is awful.

It’s been months, and honestly since the app update, the app will show the music is playing but there is no audio coming out. I have to group the speakers to get the audio to start playing again and then after a few hours the audio will stop again.  I’ve re set, re booted, changed the wifi, re set the wifi, re downloaded the app, alternated the wifi channels on the app, sent diagnostics, asked for help in the chat and nothing has resolved. I’ve never had this issue but for months I cannot get them to consistently play anymore.  Chat keeps telling me “everything shows it’s up to date and fine” but it’s been not working for a while and I’m out of ideas. Any one else have similar issue? 

The option to select ‘My music’ from my own music library has disappeared from the Sonos app.  I can no longer find my own music library.

Can I connect my SL1200 sects to my Sonos system

I am an old guy so have mercy.  I finally retired my Playbar and bought the Arc Ultra and I am having trouble hooking up my older Sub 2.  I can add it to the system and I get the chime but no sound at all from the Sub. I have tried all the usual things I can think of, update the speaker, Wi-Fi on and off, Ethernet cable plugged-in or not, remove the sub and reconnect, etc. Nothing brings the sub to life.  I would appreciate any suggestions anyone can offer me.  Ill try anything once and if it sounds or feels good, more than that.Thanks

I’m trying to set up a gen 1 play:1 to a new wifi. Have factory reset and followed every step numerous times. It connects to the wifi but won’t register to my account. Can anyone help please? It’s been 10 days without music in a new town :(

How do I see my battery amount when I'm connected via Bluetooth with no network connection. 

Hi,I became unable to play music through to my Living Room setup - and upon further inspection discovered both of the Sonos One SL’s had somehow disconnected from the system. After power cycling multiple times, and trying to remove them as a pair (I got an error saying I was unable to), I factory reset them.  now:The unpaired live in parallel rooms. However, checking the original room;They’ve magically “reappeared”, both existing in the original room, and outside of them. Trying to add them as a pair gives me the error they’re already in use, trying to remove them as a pair gives there error:  I can’t play music to the room anymore, but the Arc and Sub function through my TV. So now I’ve got schroedinger’s surround speakers, both existing and not at the same time app, iOS, everything is up to date. If anyone can give me a suggestion that doesn’t involve me having to factory reset the entire system like it seems I have to once a quarter?

Last week, for about the 20th time in 2 years, my Sonos Play1 wouldn’t work.  App did nothing.  I tried to update the app, nothing.  I saw there was a new app, so I downloaded that. Tried to re-pair my speaker or whatever, nothing.  Then suddenly it works.  No problem.  Everything fine.  I think finally, a new app, this will be better.Today, nothing.  NOTHING.  Tried to re-set it, won’t work.  Won’t recognize it.  I’ve spent hours on this.  SO frustrated.  The speaker sounds great when it’s work (which is only maybe 50-60% of the times I’ve tried to use it).  Bluetooth would be so much easier!

I have a 4 yr old Sonos system. It includes two One SLs,. two Connects and two Connect amps. The amps are for non-Sonos speakers. I'm running S1 OS . I was going to buy additional One SLs from e-bay, but from what I've read, it seems I can't add another 4 yr.old One SL. Is that true? Could I add a non-SL One? Because my system is 4 yrs. old, I didn't want to cause any compatibilty issues by upgrading to the S2 OS. What should I use for the additional speakers?

Hello everyone,Hoping to get some help here as I think I’ve tried everything I can to be able to add more surround speakers to my surround.  I have the Center (Arc), Sub (Mini) and 2 (Era 100s).Id like to have just 2 more additional Era 100s for more rear sounds but I can’t get them to add and sync up.   Any advice/help on this?  Thanks in advance.  Setup looks like this currently:                                    Center  Era1                     ((      Couch      ))   Sub Mini            Era1                   **Era1                       **Era1             **Are what I’d like to add to my current setup.  

Is anyone else experiencing a slow startup with their Sonos app? 

It testing a Sonos setup for our new workboat and before installing I set it up on the floor to make sure it all works. The inside is being driven by 1 Amp and 2 Sonos ceiling speakers plus a sub. The Sonos ceiling speakers I just sat on the floor when testing. When I turned the volume up over 40% the speakers made a bad banging sound and the woofer seemed to be going crazy bouncing back in forth. It was the bass but it sounded awful. Once I went to 25% volume the bass sounded normal. I was wondering if this because they need to be in a void to sound correct. I want to know before we go ahead and cut holes in the roof of the boat if this is likely normal because they’re not in an enclosed void or if possible there’s a default. Was surprised how bad they sounded for expensive speakers. Wires were all red to red and black to black, 12 gauge. I have Sonos play 5 etc at home and they sound incredible hence why I pretty disappointed when testing these ceiling speakers on the floor.

Hi,After spending more than two hours with Sonos ‘tech support’ and being shunted to Windows 11 tech support between the two, I am frustrated by Sonos in general, and my issue remains. I have many Sonos components that work well on my Android Galaxy S22. Sonos on my PC does not load. I have uninstalled the application using Windows uninstall and also using Advanced Uninstaller Pro 13. I’ve deleted the Sonos folder at ‘Local Disk (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Sonos’ and even tried manually deleting the folder's content. After all the uninstalls, I restart my machine. Also, I ran Win11_24H2_English_x64.iso, then reinstalled Sonos for Windows from the support page - Sonos_81.1-58074.exe.After doing this sequentially several times, I end with the same result. I have a shortcut on the desktop, a Sonos icon in my Start Menu, and a Sonos.exe file in ‘Local Disk (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Sonos’.
