Hello @Ceeare, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the battery of your Sonos Roam.

I will share below a few Support Articles for general information and the expected behavior.

It sounds like your Sonos Roam is not charging properly, what happens when you leave it charging overnight and how long it lasts?

My Sonos Roam lasts for quite a long time in sleep mode, even more if I properly shut it off by long pressing the power button till I hear a chime.

I would recommend you to Submit Diagnostics when the Sonos Roam is powered on and reach out to our Support Team for some live troubleshooting.

They have tools at their disposal to provide you with advice and information, specific to your system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Probably a dying battery. You should contact Sonos support because dead and dying batteries for first gen Roams is so common that many people are getting them replaced for free even out of warranty.
