Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My sonos is running on an older update but thinks its up to date, is there an overide? 

I am sure this must have been done to death but is there a reason — that is, we do it this way because “x” — why Sonos doesn’t have a soft power cycle option in its apps? We all know for myriad wifi issues on any networked device power cycling is a go-to, but speaking for anyone who has more than a couple of bookshelf-type speakers, this is a real pain for Sonos. For those where the wall plug is concealed, the power cables are really jammed in. (And to the Reddit guy: no, I do not want to flip breakers for half the house.)I am thinking of exactly the same implementation as Eero has, and Apple’s AirPort range also had.This seems so obvious I am wondering what I am missing? Is it a kind of communist thing that putting the option there would reveal that Sonos knew there was a use-case?

HiI have a beam gen2 in the tv room, 1 move in the kitchen and 2 one sl in the living room.It is not possible to cast music in the all house unless i UNPAIR the 2 one sl. It works either with move + 2 sl paired or beam + move. When I unpair the 2 one sl, i can cast beam+move+2 one sl   Do you know if there is a solution to that?Thanks 

Im buying a complete Sonos home theater system and is choosing between below alternatives. Both will cost me roughly the same so I need som input on what you think I should doAlternative 1: Brand new Arc Ultra, Sub4, and two Era 100s as surroundsAlternative 2: Used regular Arc, used Sub gen 3, and two brand new Era 300s as surrounds.So basically the question is old Arc with Era 300s as surrounds OR new Arc ultra with Era 100s as surrounds. I will have a Sub either way

My music library is on a USB flash drive plugged into my TP-Link router. Speaker system comprises two pairs of Ones and one pair of Era 300s. I cannot play anything from the music library on just the Eras. Music library plays fine on both of the One pairs. I can get the Eras to play from the library only if I’m already listening on the Ones and then group in the Eras. All external streaming services and Airplay from my phone work absolutely fine on the Eras & they sound perfect. When I try to play direct from the music library to the Eras, the Sonos app says “Content is unavailable”. I’ve done a factory reset on the Eras and this hasn’t helped. I’m hoping you can though!

In my restaurant we have Sonos Era 100 speakers set up. We pay for premium Pandora and somehow still get ads after every couple songs. Its extremely irritating. How can I fix this? We have reinstalled Pandora multiple times and reconnected it to the premium account. No idea what to do next.

I wasn’t able to resolve the Error 1000 through the phone. But updating the system through my Mac iOS app was a breeze. I managed to easily update and now the error is resolved. Hope this will help others who are frustrated with the app. Hope Sonos gets back to its flawless app again. The new app is more of a curse than a boon. 

Most songs that I try to play on my Sonos (two Play:1’s set up as a Stereo pair and a Play:3 plugged in to a Google Nest wifi via ethernet) cut out for the last 10-20 seconds, and it’s just silence until the next song starts. After two one-hour phone calls with Sonos and another one with Verizon, I don’t think it is a network issue… the Sonos rep first tried to tell me that the Verizon “modem/router” was “causing interference” and that I had to put it into “bridge mode” and then after a long time on the phone with Verizon we realized that it was just an ONT box with no router, so there was nothing to put into bridge mode. Then after another hour of support with Sonos they asked me to plug in a speaker via ethernet, which I did, and which still did not fix the issue. Anyone else seeing this? I’m mostly trying to play stuff locally in my music library but it also happens on streaming songs (didn’t seem to happen with Sonos Radio, but I think radio is treated differently since there’s not

My app keeps requesting me to sign in as the owner of my equipment. I sign-in and it keeps saying I need to sign in however, if I click the face at the top right it states I’m signed in. App issue or… driving me crazy!! 

Suite à un pb de mon sonos roam observé depuis quelques semaines qui s’éteignait alors qu’il était branché sur son socle induction Sonos en permanence (obligé de le rebrancher à un autre cable pour le “réveiller”), je l’ai réinitialisé à distance avec le SAV Sonos qui a fait le diagnostic en ligne et vérifié que l’état de la batterie était “parfait’. En rentrant de congés il y a quelques jours mon Sonos est éteint et même problème que tous les posts précédents depuis juin. Hello. Im Ralf and writing from Estonia. I recently purchased new sonos Arc Ultra and older Sub gen3. Really appreciatethe sound quality and sub plays really low. Definitely planning to buy dual subs one day. And i had an product idea for you guys. Dear Sonos. Lets name it Sub Ultra (Gen1) . Idea would be that it would fill the precious needs of bassheads and bigger rooms with powerful and low bass. Becayse the arc ultra allready sounds so friking big, loud and good then i feel like the sub cant keep up woth it to the end. And dont get me wrong. Sub is awesome allready. And fits well everywhere with its size and design. But hear me out….. SUB ULTRAVisually Same design as regular sub gen 3 and 4. But….. Bigger. Same dual woofer system but…..instead of dual 8 inches it would be dual 10inches… So not overkill so it would not get too heavy and big but would maybe be possible to produce 20hz as its lowest frequencies. But more inportant it wouldnt lose its power compared to sound that other

We have a problem with a customer's system. The system correctly detects 3 SONOS ONES but when we try to add a fourth player the app detects it but then the message "unable to add SONOS ONE to account" appears. The same happens when we try to add a Port. On the login page (https://sonos.com/login) after entering email and password appears the warning "system not registered require validation email" Could this be the cause of the problem? 

I know that the new/current Nov 2024 Sonos app can’t be used to browse DNLA servers as a music source, but using other apps it is still possible to send files from a DNLA or UPnP server to play on my Sonos Beam Gen 2. I turned off the automatic app and firmware upgrades in May though. Does anyone know if more recent firmware keeps the option to play over UPnP to my Sonos speaker? I’d be tempted to try the new version of the Sonos app+firmware if I knew that I wouldn’t loose the UPnP playback direct to the speaker.

Could not get Samba music library to work even though my file manager and several music apps were fine. Compre sonos Move hace 1 año y siempre ha dado problemas en conexión wifi. Se realiza la conexión y cierro. So I share a library with a bunch of people which is run by a friend of a friend. Intermittently I get buffering issues playing movies and I'm being told it's the lack of DTS-HD/MA codecs that is causing it. This is the message the guy sent me: "The issue is likely your Sonos soundbar like mentioned before. It’s limited codec capabilities, can’t process DTS-HD MA or DTS-X. Suggest trying to stream supported codecs." I use a Sonos arc and a shield TV pro. The Sonos arc is plugged into the eARC port of my Sony Bravia x90l TV. Right now I've changed the shield TV settings audio format to be AUTO and when I check the Sonos app it shows DTS surround. So besides the buffering, it also doesn't sound as good without the DTS-HD. Can anyone with similar experience provide some insights? 

Dears, Following the launch of the new app I lost all access to my local NAS ( Synolgy) .from my android APP Sonos. Following several updates of the APP, I understand that this was fixed. However until today I still encounter a no access to my local library. I have followed the instruction given by Sonos. Changed the SMB min to 2/3 on my NAS Synology and reboot it. I am running the last version of the NAS OS. I have added my access and path to my NAS on my Sonos APP. ( ok, no issues), I have launch a library update/new scan ( ok, it run and give me the "completed" task message at the end of the scan. My lical music link does show on my Sonos app and I can selected ( arriving to the scran woth the various browsing section from artis name, album... until folder browsing) BUT when try to select any of the possible way to explore my library I have an "something went wrong"  error ( grey box, nu number, no info) and cannot go further. And of course I lost all my playlist or they do not disp

I have multiple Sonos components, Beams, Sub, Amp, Roam, Play 3s, Ones and the whole system used to work just fine through the whole house. At some point (and I must admit I followed the crowd and blamed it on one of the updates), the two units at the furthest end of the house started playing up. Disappearing from the system, losing connection, etc. They are a pair of Ones, linked as a stereo pair. Anyway eventually I took acloser look and the whole system had switched over to WM:1, uncommanded. It had always been on Sonosnet and had been fine. The two troublesome units are borderline outside the wifi range for the house. My Amp was the primary unit and was still wired to the router, so I switched it to wired but that hasn't fixed it. It shows WM:0 in the system but everything else is still WM:1 and the problem persists (the rest of the system is fine, but it is well within range of the router). I just want to put my review (app store) from the latest update here in as already so many of us feel the same way: first of all - i m a customer and fan since 2011 and i ve several setups in my home: 1x arc - 2x era 300 - 1x sub (3rd gen) - 1x beam (2nd gen) - 2x era 100 - 1x one (2nd gen). also i m a software dev and system admin for about 25y (large international corporation). yesterday I downloaded the new update and it s a total failure and complete disaster! it s so bad that i m willed to sell all my speakers if it s not corrected or will be rollbacked. the new design is neither intuitive nor performant (iPhone 14 pro) and also key features missing like editing an actual playlist/cue, sleep timer, alarm, etc. also my favorites don’t work anymore, can’t mute, can’t switch between tv and music, nas settings gone and are not available, some services had to been removed and new connected, etc.how is it possible that a big company like this „burn it down to the ground“ when the app be

Why is the app so slow, i better use spotify to listen

I installed Arc ultra, Sub gen3, and Era 100 today. Everything works except TRUEPLAY. Iphone 14, Iphone 15 pro max, everything is up to date. I only succeeded with my ipad pro, but it's the short trueplay. Trueplay doesn't work with my iphones???

My beam 2 has suddenly stopped working tonight. Was showing spdif. Then I reset my wifi sting which seemed to go ok. No the app is showing no content. I’ve got beam 2 and a couple of Sonos ones connected to my lg g4 Fed up with Sonos lately. Seriously thinking about replacing my set upAny suggestions?

While I am encouraged that the IOS app continues to improve, there are still (at least) two missing features that are important to me. (1) Still don't have the alphabet shortcuts on the Music Library. I have a huge collection and attempting to scroll across ~2,000 artists is nearly impossible, (2) a track count in my music library so I know where I stand against the 65,000 limit (this feature used to exist). Does anyone know if/when these features are coming?

I have been using Sonos for nearly 15 years, but I've been having so much trouble recently that I'm considering switching brands. So, unless someone can give me the solution to Spotify on Android just not seeing my Sonos devices, can anyone recommend a different brand of speakers that will have a soundbar for my TV, do multiroom playback, and work seemlessly with Spotify?
