Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I keep getting conflicting messages and stories with the following issue. On my music share some albums (they are compilation or what the system defines as that) show up in strange ways :For example:Album x with tracks 1-10 will show up 10 times with one track in each album.  Or it will show up 10 times with more than one track in random order. Or it will show up blankAnother thing that is not mentioned by Sonos is whether they will put back alphabetical indexation. With 2000 albums, it’s virtually impossible to browse otherwise.Non of these issues are mentioned on any of the information that Sonos give out about updates, present and forthcoming. Sonos support up top tier 2 sometimes say it is an issue sometimes not. So I would like to know if this is being looked into and something might be done. I use the system to play my music and with these problems it is virtually unusable.

I was renting a couple of years  between houses with most of my kit in store but I kept out 2x Play1 and 1x Play3. Been in the new place since April and getting the rest of my S1 system to setup - 2x ZP100, 2x ZP80, 1x Connect Amp.It seems only the Play1s & 3 can access my music library on Synology 416slim NAS. The others will play if I link them with one of the Plays. Tried deleting and adding the library again.I was aware of various threads on the Synology re SMB and had downgraded to SMB1 in the past but not working again. Saw this thread about making firmware edits on Synology  and really don’t want to go there - really ought not to need to go there - and I see some people saying it has reverted or no longer works! Sure I could probably plough through and see if it works but it kind of defeats the purpose of a supposed CONSUMER system.I only really need 4z zones - do I ditch this **** and go buy some Wiim or similar or am I just gonna encounter different problems?

Hi,My system is updated to the latest available version.I'm using the latest Android app 80.12.04-release+20241114.cfc873c. My system language is set to French.I'm using Pocket Casts as a service to listen to podcast episodes.I can add episodes to the list from the “New Releases” section, but it fails from the “Podcasts” one.It's working using the app on Windows. Screenshots:My list of podcasts in the Podcasts section:Selecting a podcast:(You can see there is a problem too with the date of every episode on this screen. my playbar is “blowing” with bass. I’ve opened the case and all 4 of the outer speakers are not sealed around the top. (between 11 amd 1 on a clock face) what can i do to rectify?

My sub needed to be reset after moving.  The factory reset is not working. It flashes orange but never turns green.  How can I add it to my system ? 

Would adding a 2nd sub to the front of the room right under the TV make any sense? I already have a sub right behind the couch. The reason why it’s not in the back corners is because I wanted to keep the base down for my neighbors. It can’t be in the corners up front because there is no wall. It’s a weird room.  

Trying to update and I get a message saying “There was a problem checking for updates” I’ve turned all units and the wifi router off and on again. Same error message.  I see all Sonos units on the app (I’m using an iPhone). The next step appears to be “close and reopen the Sonos app”. On the iPhone I can “remove app” then “delete app” which gives me the message “deleting the app will also delete its data”. Should I do this? Will I lose all the products currently set up...and anything else?? Any advice about this update failure gratefully received!

Hi,I’m building a home theater setup. I have a 9.2.4 setup in the room (arc ultra + 2 gen4 subs + 2 era300 ). I want to do some acoustic treatment to improve sound since the room walls are empty and have too much reverberation. I’m looking into getting some acoustic panels maybe also some diffusers. I’m trying to figure out how much can I treat without affecting sound channels directionality.I think I can put sound absorbing panels in the whole back wall behind the era 300 since sound doesn’t need to bounce back having back speakers. Also the front wall behind the Arc doesn’t need to reflect sound. Does anyone have experience or can share some advice?Cheers.

Hello. Problem with playing the Sonos connect amp. When you turn on playback, there is an instant sound and then disappears. As if the sound mute mode is turned on.I can send you a video of the problem.

I can no longer go into system settings🤷🏽‍♂️. Can’t adjust volume, EQ, etc. network is up to date?not sure why this is happening. 

When I select my music and artists, it won't display them all. Only goes up to start of "S".Mike

I purchased an L-Sonos Roam in Switzerland in November 2023 and have since moved to another European country.The battery on the Sonos has never really worked well, sometimes it would turn on and sometimes not. But until now, I have been too busy to deal with it.My question is, how do I return it using the 2 year warranty? I have tried calling the customer service number but there are no options for returns, I tried the online chat, but the bot can’t help and said that there were no agents available to help. I have tried looking online but cannot find what I need.So if any of you can help, I would appreciate it.Thanks

I have a pair of Klipsch RP-5000F speakers connected to the Sonos Amp. This system has been good but now I will upgrade to the Arc Ultra and a set of the Era 300.My question is should eliminate my passive speakers altogether? I will be using the new set up as I have with the passive speakers for both music and television.Thanks!

Sonos cannot find my Apple playlists, “Smart” or otherwise.  This has been going on for some time, and I had hope that Sonos would - based on all of the months of comment posted here - come up with a fix.  Not being able to access the playlists essentially makes the speakers useless for me. My library transfers and updates just fine, and I am not getting any more error messages. I just do not have any playlists transferring.Has anyone found a solution for this in 2024? I have tried several things listed on this site to no avail, and clearly I am not alone.I spent several hours over the past month seeking answers online and then finally an hour tonight with Sonos “Help”, much of which was waiting on hold. The latter resulted in nothing other than me being told that I needed to 1) contact Apple; 2) try some suggestions for security settings updates sent in an e-mail (all of which I had already tried, based on suggestions from users on this site), and 3) call Sonos back as needed. I like to play albums and when I like a particular song I used to Start Radio so that I can discover new songs that are similar to the one I was playing.This was working well until recently.Here's the behaviour. Song is playing on all or any of my speakers (one, port, roam)I click on ... On the bottom right (latest app version on Samsung S22)Under Deezer I select Start RadioThe current song is interrupted and a new song title is displayed, it plays for 5" but no sound is played. Then another song title is displayed and the same thing happens.The app scrolls through different songs starting them but not playing anything. 

Recently purchased & installed STARLINK GEN-3 system…  SONOS won’t connect…  I’d prefer not spending any more money, but I see discussions regarding connecting an additional router to STARLINK router??  I’m not a technical guy - not my lane!  I  no absolutely nothing about Dual-Band routers…  Is there a preferred Dual-Band router that works best with both STARLINK & SONOS so I can make this work…  I’ve got a lot invested in SONOS speakers.  Thanks.

Just got a new iPhone 16 which pairs with other devices. However it’s not pairing with Sonos move. Has anyone had this problem & how did you resolve it?

I can play Sonos radio but can’t play Spotify as it seams not to connect to speakers 

Hello:  Has anyone else experienced a problem with the new Sonos App for Android Version 80.04.04 that was updated on July 1, 2024 not being able to find any products / speakers?  I am running the App on a Google Pixel 6 phone.  The previous version of the new App was working reliably for me as late as 11 pm on June 30, 2024.   I am also running the old S2 App on my old iPad.  It still finds all of my speakers after July 1, 2024 and works reliably.  Any suggestions?

Hello, we have a problem with our Sonos Move 2. We have two of Them in the basement and one in the kitchen. If the one in the kitchen is Playing, and i want to go to the basement and play Music there, then when i start Playing Music in the basement, it cancels out the one playing in the kitchen, even though they are not connected or in the same group. What should we do?
