Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

How easy is it to find someone locally who has enough Sonos experience to get the best sound performance from my Sonos equipment ?

Quick background. Watch movies maybe once a month if that. Cut the cable long ago. Had Amazon Fire Stick connected to Sharp HDTV using playbar, mini-sub and play:1’s for rear sound as home theater setup. Had worked flawlessly for 10 years. Fire Stick started acting up and lost TV audio thru playbar around same time at some point earlier this year.  Assumed it was issue with Fire Stick. Finally purchased new Apple TV and was excited to set up but that quickly evaporated once I realized I was still not getting any audio from tv to playbar. Since the only physical connection is via optical cable I purchased a new one just in case. No matter what rabbit hole I went down I cannot get the Sonos app to recognize my optical cable. No settings on the tv have changed and if they had its a simple switch from fixed (internal speakers) to variable sound (external). This has consumed me for 2 weeks now and I’m at the point of giving up hope  I plan to call support to see if they can help but am not

Hi everyone,I’ve been facing a frustrating issue with my Sonos Arc and am hoping for some advice.Here’s my setup:Multiple Sonos speakers at home, all connected via Sonosnet (Beam in the Master Bedroom, which is hardwired to my Orbi RBK760 router). My home theater system consists of a Sonos Arc, Sub 3, and 2 Sonos Ones as rears. All other speakers in the house, including the Sub and Ones in the home theater, connect and work fine – except for the Sonos Arc, which frequently drops connection.The problem:The Arc regularly loses connection, even though the Sub and Ones (located right next to the Arc) have no issues. When the Arc is disconnected, it often blinks white, and after restarting, it might alternate between white and red before (sometimes) reconnecting after multiple attempts. I’ve been in the software industry for 50 years now. That’s a long time. A very long time. I have seen many applications, utilities, services, and products come and go. I have built many of them.This new SONOS Android app? One of the worst re-versionings I have ever seen. Two cardinal rules have been broken:Never release a product that is not fully baked. If you present functionality to your users that doesn’t actually work as the UI suggests it should, you will feel the wrath. Never release a version update that removes functionality from earlier versions without very, very good reason. Doing so, after setting the self-created standard, takes away a considerable amount of your goodwill you worked so hard to create.We all know how depressingly awful this new version is and how much has been lost in the process so I won’t belabor the painful details.I really just want to know what you, SONOS, are doing about it? This sub-standard garbage has been all we have had for way too many months

Can’t access my speaker through app since update

Hi we are making a cinema room and was wondering if this set up will work 1 Sonos arc under the tv on a media wall2 sub on the floor in front 3 x2 wall architecture speakers in the wall at the back at ear level on the side walls and the amp, also does it work together having a Sonos amp and the rest of the speakers being connected to the tv  ? we have the speaker cables ready where the wall speakers need to go is this easy to set up in the app as one room and link ? 

Updated Sonos yesterday and now crossfade is broken.Has anyone else experienced this and do you know of any workarounds? Version 16.4.2Build:  81158074

My husband bought a Plex server. I added the sever on my Sonos App and all worked fine for one evening playing music. Now I go to access the sever on the Sonos app and it states "No Content Items Available". The server is working fine. I can see and play my music via the Plex app but Sonos all of a sudden cannot see the tracks/content.I am losing the will. I love my Sonos...or rather I did, as they've made things so hard to simply play and listen to music!!!Can anyone help me please? Thanks. Kelly 

I have 2 “play five “ speakers in one room. The second one just stopped connecting. It’s still lit up. I’ve unplugged it, tried to rediscover it in the room and it’s not connecting or being seen. It  worked over the summer. What should I do?

All iOS devices are unable to connect to the Move 2 via AirPlay, displaying the message: "Unable to connect to ‘Move 2’." All iOS devices can successfully play back audio on other Sonos speakers (e.g., Arc, SYMFONISK) via AirPlay. Music streaming services (Apple Music, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, etc.) can playback on the Move 2 through the Sonos app. All relevant software and firmware are up-to-date, including iOS, macOS, the Sonos app, Move 2 firmware, and router firmware. All Sonos devices have reserved internal IP addresses. The router settings have not been changed recently and the router has been rebooted multiple times. The Sonos app has been reinstalled. The Move 2 has been factory reset multiple times. After extensive diagnosis with a Sonos agent, the unit was replaced. Surprisingly, the replacement—a brand-new Move 2—shows the same error message: "Unable to connect to ‘Move 2’" after setup.Please help. What additional steps can be taken?iOSMac​​​​ 

Hi! i’m having this very frustrating problem after changing my isp and my home network. For 2 of my products this far, i set them up with the ethernet cable and make sure the « enable wifi » is on, but they still disappear like i have nothing when i unplug the ethernet cable. Any help with that would be much appreciated! I have three other products that will need setting up after those and I would like to stay in a good mood! 😅 Thanks!  

Good morning, everyone.  I could use your assistance.  In brief, I added a Home Theater set-up to my existing system approximately 6 months ago (ARC, ERA 300 x 2, SUB, and Victrola Stream with SONOS capabilities).  It has been successfully connected to my DECO MESH WiFi 6 system with little to no issues at all, until a couple of weeks ago. Nothing has changed with my current MESH WiFi setup or my Modem setup, with exception to the new “Updates” with the SONOS Mobile App.  Initially, with the first upgrade, I was experiencing the same issues most of you have with the lag in the volume control.  Annoying, yes… Usable, absolutely. However, I recently came home from a 2-week trip and noticed my Home Theater set-up was “Not Connected”.  My other Play 1’s are still connected and able to stream. I have attempted almost all posted remedies to this issue, with no success.  The only suggestion I have not attempted is to hardwire the ARC to my MESH router or directly to the Modem. Suggestions?  A

According to thr support article from the Sonos below, the app (both Android and iOS) should have a function to put Arc Ultra into Bluetooth pairing mode. However, the latest version of the app on both platforms is MISSING the Bluetooth pairing function. How do we report this bug? Hello, I have:2x Era 1001x Sub Mini1x Rayand two inputApple TV (BT) and Sonos Line-in adapter for a gramophone If I have a group Ray + 2x Era + Sub mini then the Line-in adapter  is not active If I have a group 2x Era + Sub mini then the Line-in adapter is ok, but he doesn't play Ray, because he is not in that group. For AppleTV, the output works in two groups and Apple TV works ok. Is there any way to have sound on Ray, when inputting from Line-in adapter? If I replace Ray with Beam, will it work? Thx

When using the Sonos App to stream Amazon Music, the Artists listing in My Music is incomplete. I can only access artists up to the letter P. The list beyond that point is truncated. I had read a previous thread here indicating that Amazon Music applies a container size limit of 500 items. This seems to imply that the truncation of my list is a condition imposed by Amazon. I take issue with this answer, since my Bose app contains the complete Amazon Music artist listing, and continues to readily follow my expansion of that list with no issues when I add new artists. Why not the Sonos app, as well? The previously suggested workaround of using the Amazon Music search function in the Sonos app is cumbersome and time consuming. It is far easier to scan through my private list to select files to play than to perform a search from memory. When I select a record or a song in Tidal the system crash after 5 sec minimum and pass to the next song and continues doing the same.This only happen when I select music from Tidal, when I select Spotify it is normalI need and update? 

How can I get TV sound to play simultaneously through  my Arc system (Arc , One’s, Gen 2Sub) ? 

So what I’m wondering is in the app when you have a the Era 100’s setup as surrounds for the Arc or Arc Ultra do you get settings to adjust surround and rear surround channels? Are they seen as just surrounds or surround and rear surrounds as well.On the Era 300’s I know you can adjust surround, rear surround and height channel volume.

I’ve had to uninstall the S2 app on my 2021 Motorola G phone as it just didnt work. This was a few months ago. I was thinking, ok Sonos developers screwed it up a bit, I’ll wait and try in a year. So should I try and see if it works now? Have they fixed it? Your thoughts? 

Looking at my Spotify Wrapped (their yearly summary) I can’t tell if it includes Sonos-initiated playback, or not.In our household it is my Spotify account that we use for Sonos, plus I also use it in my car.Now I love me some Taylor Swift, but I can’t tell if my wife’s use of Sonos playing her all the time has impacted my account stats, or not? Anyone know? Maybe your music preferences are more different than your household’s so its more obvious.

I’ve had a Playbar for a number of years but with the arrival of Arc Ultra decided the time was right to upgrade for a surround experience, I have a sub and plan to add 2 Era 100s later.I have a brand new LG G4 and connected the Arc via HDMI eARC expecting some great things. I have now tested with several movies, all listed as Dolby Atmos, in Disney and Apple. When watching, the Sonos app confirms they are passing Dolby Atmos.However, I hear absolutely no sense of surround, no left, right, above or rear sound. The whole experience is little different to my Playbar. I understand it wont be the same as when I add dedicated rears, but I expected something at least. Even scenes where it is obvious there should be something, like a drone flying overhead - absolutely nothing. Just one big sound from front.I have used trueplay (advanced on apple phone) to tune it and it is perfectly situated below and in front of TV with nothing to block it.Overall, hugely disappointed and considering returni

I have all my Sonos speakers showing in Apple Music, but whenever I choose to play through a Sonos speaker it plays for 2 seconds and then the sound stops.  However the Sonos App shows that music should be playing.Anyone else had this problem?
