Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I recently bought a couple CR200s. I added them using a wired ZP80. They are now working on the system. My concern is that I cannot see them showing up on sonos.com or the S1 app. This limits me because I wanted to take advantage of the upgrade discount they would have. How can I make them show up in my sonos.com system/upgrade page if I have already added them to my system and they are working correctly?

I have 2 Sonos Play1 Tone devices that I moved today. The paint surface was sticky which I thought strange and tried to clean …. The paint has seriously degraded on both devices to the point where touching them results in a sticky deposit on ones fingers. Is this a known issue or specific to the models I have? Thanks 

I just purchased a Sonos Ace headphone set and cannot get it to connect with the app.  I already have many Sonos products including Playbar, Play:3, Play:5 and a Connect.  All of these I have to control through the Sonos S1 App on my phone.  If I go to the “new” Sonos app, it’s like it’s not compatible with ANY of my old sonos equipment.  And when I try to add my Sonos Ace it says it can’t find them.  If I try to connect the new app with my existing system, it says all of my equipment must be controlled by the S1 app… which can not connect with my headphones.  What gives?

After some time without use, being over the disconnected base the Sonos Move 2 doesn’t react when I connect the baseConnected directly with the USB cable to the charger the only reaction is Intermittently (every 10 seconds) on the front of the Move a white light comes on at the top and a red light at the bottomThen I tried a factory reset by pressing the bluetooth button and connecting again the USB cable, but it goes on Intermittently (every 10 seconds) on the front of the Move 2 a white light comes on at the top and a red light at the bottom.

I have 5 amps (one current generation) and one old soundbar, since the App major update, I have not been able group them. I get the “Unable to Connect”.For a brief period, I did have one update for all the units and it worked for a very short period. Then it failed again for months. Since 3 units are in one open area, it is very important to be able to group them. I tried power cycling all the units, no luck. They are all upto date for the software.  If it prolongs much longer, it would have to replace all the until with alternatives.  And not get any additional Sonos in the other rooms.

Just set up arc ultra and two era 300’s.When i play music from dedicated tidal app on a sony google tv, the surrounds do not work.I do not have this issue when using the android tidal app from my phone, the surrounds work fine. Is this normal or is there anything I can do?

Router and WiFi name and password changed. Cannot connect system.  

How can I listen to Spotify or tidal music on my passive speakers connected to my wiim amp and also on Sonos one speakers ( 2) at the same timeThanks  TAJAMMAL

My settings 1. TV - C3 LG TV2. pass-through has been turned on.3. eARC enable.  4. “Dolby digital plus” has been selected from DTV Audio settings.  I can not play the Netflix’s Dolby atmos contents. Always displaying as “Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0” even though I have selected the pass-through in my digital sound output. And I can not see the audio in: in my Sonos app >  about my system page while the sound in playing in ARC ultra. Could you please somebody help me here.  

Sonos audio quality is amazing but useless as it never works as it should. Literal garbage. Save your money. Buy something else

Hi all,I recently purchased an Arc Ultra and Sub 4. I'd like to get 2 rear surrounds but I don't think the layout of my room is ideal.Please see the pictures of the room below. We don't want to put the speakers on stands behind the couch.I was previously considering 2 Era 300s to mount on the wall but I read you don't want to mount them close to ceiling and I don't think we want to mount them in the middle of the wall height wise.As such, would love your thoughts on: Do you have any suggestions on best set up? If I mounted Era 100s in a location close to the ceiling like where you see the previous mounts in the photo (from old wired system) would that work? If no Sonos setup works well would it be better to purchase non Sonos rear speakers and connect them via amp? We have wiring in the walls already from prior system. Thanks for the help!

My gen 4 sub will not connect to a room

Hi, my play 3 has been working fine for years. Now  it's disappeared from the app. I have factory reset it, it says connected to my sonos system again, but it does not show up in the app. Any ideas.

Took it all to the dump today— three speakers, bridge, amp… used to work fine then after one year of app updates and failure to connect I pulled the plug. A systemAbsolutely so primitive.  Spent way too much money on Sonos, but can’t take it snymore! Bye Bye ! YS Sonos! 

Have a Beam Gen 2 with SYMFONISK for rear surround speakers. Have the opportunity to switch to Play: 3’s for rear surround speakers. Will there be a significant improvement switching to the 3’s for rear surrounds?

I recently bought a new tv that does not have the audio optical cable port on the back. Is there an adapter that allows me to still connect my Sonos Ray to this new tv?  Thanks for any help. 

Yes I am probably not is what is accepted as a 'first world country' but we have access to those type of tech. Your speaker is dissapointing with this error 1000 and I took it with on our camping ttip and have only expensive weight with me now. Thanks for your first world issues. It spoilt my vacation.

I’m experiencing an issue with my Sonos headphones—there’s a thumping or vibrating sound coming from the left earcup. Has anyone else encountered this? Any tips or fixes would be appreciated! The problem sometimes occurs when I put the headphones on without even playing any audio. Additionally, when I have the awareness mode activated, I hear a wind-like noise, even though I’m indoors and there’s no fan; it almost sounds like static. On another note, the zipper on my case disconnected from one of the tracks after only two days of use. I reached out to Sonos to request a replacement and inquired about any changes to the case design, as I remembered MKBHD mentioning issues in his review. I was informed that I would receive the same case with no design changes. If it breaks again, I would need to pay for a new one out-of-pocket, which seems unreasonable. Given the price of the headphones, I would expect a more durable case for my $500 investment. 

Can you join 2 Sub Mini’s to one System I.e your surround system as I’ve bought another sub mini to pair it to the other Beam Play one’s and a Sub mini

Hi - I’ve just got a new router. And I’ve been trying to connect my 2 play 1s to the new WiFi.  I’ve done a factory reset and connected a speaker via Ethernet. I’ve done the set up on the Sonos app and I can then play music via Spotify. When I try and set up the WiFi the app doesn’t find any device, so I can’t select my new WiFi and add password etc? It seems this process is exclusively Bluetooth, if my Bluetooth is off on the phone it forces me to turn it back on? Has anyone found a way to add new WiFi if they hit this hurdle? Ta

I am getting ready to install two ceiling speakers in my kitchen and connecting them to a Sonos amp in the living room. I’m wondering about wiring. The amp uses banana plugs but it looks like the speakers don’t. Will the holes in the ceiling speaker except banana plugs? can I tighten down or is it need to be unterminated  cable that goes into to the ceiling speakers?

We noticed today that our Sonos One speaker was no longer working or connected.  It is just flashing the white light, and no buttons on top are working.  I rebooted it, and it stayed flashing white light.  I attempted to factory reset it, with no luck.  I then contacted support, and they had me walk through all of the same steps, to try and factory reset it again, and it never took.  Ultimately they decided that it must have developed a defect, and I needed to recycle it and get a new one.  Before I do that, are there any other steps people have found to restart these things?  It was working flawlessly for years right up until a few days ago, and there have been no network or any other local changes in a very long time.  Thanks for any suggestions that people may have.
