Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi,i replaced two Sonos One SL (stereo) in my Kitchen with two Sonos Era 100 (stereo) and boy do i regret it.The Era 100 has really weak bass. I have to turn Bass +10 to get moderately good sounding bass. If i turn it to 0, the speaker sounds like a very cheap bluetooth speaker from 8 years ago and bass is so low, that you actually miss certain parts of the music. Since i have them, the left speaker in my stereo pair frequently outputs no audio for a couple of seconds. This is really annoying.Sonos One SLs were way more reliable and sounded better. What i already tried:Power cycled wifi router and both speakers mutliple times Bought an access point (AVM Fritz!Repeater 3000) which i put 5cm away from the Sonos Era 100. The speaker still randomly looses audio.I’m honestly pretty frustrated, the upgrade of the speakers were suppose to sound better, but it is a massive downgrade in both sound quality and reliability. Are there any known issues reg. firmware or something?

SONOS app on Apple iPadBrightspeed Fiber with GigaSpire BLAST u6.2 Router I have used SONOS for years with both DSL and Spectrum cable. Today I had Brightspeed Fiber installed. The router has one SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Sonos products are not found on the network and of course will not connect. Have tried …Disabling the 5GHz radio in order to make ONLY 2.4GHz available Disabling the router firewall entirely so there was no filtering of traffic in or traffic outAnd assistance would be greatly appreciated. I’m all out of ideas to make SONOS work. Thank you !!!

Hi…so I’ll start by saying I have a lot of Sonos and I like them, I don’t love them.  This will be relevant as you read. Up front I have an arc with an original sub and in the back I have 2 era 300s. I love the eras but the arc on its own is lacking. It’s lacking that immersive filling sound up front.  Directly in front it’s good but at an angle I can tell. I tried connecting my original play 1s as a test to see if adding them would help close the gap and from my assessment they do almost nothing in this setup. Sonos doesn’t have a lot surround options so my only real Sonos specific option would be the era 100s. However, many people on forums say the sound difference between that and the play 1 is minimally noticeable. over the summer I bought Bowers outdoor speakers and with it a Sonos amp. The bowers speakers are phenomenal. Heads and shoulders above Sonos.  Once I realized how good BW is that’s why I say I like Sonos I don’t love them.  I’m already in to Sonos for living room so I’m

Hello there, do you know if I can connect a sub 4  to era 300 without an arc system ? 

 Why does opening a user created playlist in Amazon Music often not show the 3dot button that takes you to the 5 different choices?  Instead there is a single 3dot button that opens a screen with the one choice Save to Sonos Favorites. After enough unnecessary close-open-close-open-open a different playlist-etc. I can finally get the choices used for playing the playlist.    

If I use Apple Music or Spotify I have to constantly adjust the volume of songs. Very annoying. I never had that on my Sonos units at home but do at the office. If I connect via bluetooth it seems to be more consistent but via the Sonos app it’s ridiculous. I have a lot of older Sonos equipment so still using the original App. Don’t know if upgrading the equipment would make a difference. Again, same equipment at home and works fine. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Hello All,am new to the Sonos Family and currently very impressed with speakers. Everything seems to operate correctly with CEC control but i can’t seem to play Dolby TrueHD audio from Plex using a 2019 Shield TV pro. The video plays fine with when using the TrueHD track, does not pass through the audio - there is no sound. The specs indicate that the Arc Ultra can support TrueHD tracks.What am i doing wrong?Also, i believe that the Arc Ultra does not support DTS-HD or DTS-X. Is there a way to trick to system to play those tracks by modifying the HDFury VRROOM setting or are those formats just not compatible with the Arc?Again… thanks for any help or suggestions here.Connection - Shield TV pro - HDFury VRRoom to Arc Ultra and Epson LS11000 separately.Tony  

I’m new to Sonos.  Took the dive with theatre completion: Sub4, 2xEra300s.  Now I have 45 days to see if they are worth the $$$.  I’ve deep dived many conversations here, but still cannot achieve Dolby Atmos.  This reminds me if building my Jeep… all the mixed info and dependencies on component and OS providers - ugh - my head hurts.First Impression:  Adding the sub and surrounds, moving my Arc out from under my TV which may have been blocking drivers and trying to establish Dolby Atmos, but getting from Dolby 2.0 output to Dolby multichannel PCM 2.0 -- the Arc came alive.  Much better, but not good enough to keep the Era300s yet.My system:Samsung QN85QN85BDF- Arc input to HDMI 3 eARC, Sound Output set to same.- External Devices:  Anynet+ (HDMI CEC) on- Expert Settings: HDMI-eARC Mode - Auto,  Digital Output - Auto, Dolby Atmos - on, (Pass Thru not active)Sonos:  Arc, Sub4, Era300 surroundsSource:  Xfinity StreamingI’ve tried “The Voice” broadcast in Dolby WAV to allow Atmos, MNF on ES

I understand that it’s not easy nor convenient to switch between surrounds and stereo pair on the Era 300s. I’m seriously contemplating on returning these only for that reason. Is this something Sonos is willing to accommodate to their users? If there’s any decent chance of this coming sometime even within the next year, I am willing to wait. Just curious if this feature request is on their radar. 

Hi community! Since I have a Sonos Arc soundbar and a pair of Sonos Era 300 speakers in my living room, I'm looking for a solution to easily switch from a Music configuration (era 300x 2 in stereo) to a Movie configuration (arc + era 300x2 in surround), without having to do the tedious and time-consuming manual configuration. For example, is it possible to create a room for the first configuration and a room with the second configuration? Knowing, of course, that it's the same pair of Era 300. Thanks for the help ! 

Done all the steps advised, connected to same Wi-fi as TV, logged into my account but cannot register the app and get Error Code 1000 followed by ‘Try Again Later’ which doesn’t help at all.  Went to the forum and found a possible solution which said I should click on the “Speaker” component, select “ADD” on the popup showing Sonos Beam, HOWEVER the Speaker component is not ‘live’ and so I cannot click on it.

Hi Sonos Loves, I recently got a pair of Sonos Era 100 speakers, and they worked perfectly for about a week. However, AirPlay has stopped functioning. While Bluetooth and the Sonos app are working fine, the AirPlay issue has been quite frustrating.I have an iPhone 12 with the latest iOS, and I’ve updated all firmware and the Sonos app. I’ve also tried several community-recommended tips, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Appreciate any tips

Why is there one button that you have to press and hold for different amounts of time to do who knows what?  What does the white light mean? what does the green light mean? what does a flashing-blue-then-green light mean?  why is it so goddamn hard to use this piece of crap?

I just bought a Sub 4 to connect to one of my two rooms: living room or Basement tv.  the sub easily connects and disconnects from the living room but I cannot get it to connect to my Arc Ultra in the basement tv room.  any suggestions?

I recently upgraded from arc+ play 1's to arc ultra + era 100I made a quick trueplay with my android app , but i don't know why we can't set manually surround distance ( greyed After the procédure) after that.I doesn't make sense since quick trueplay doesn't adjust listening position ( Don't tell me to do advanced trueplay, it never sets a good listening position between surrounds since years....)

 When I Save a user created playlist from Amazon Music to Sonos Favorites I get a message saying Removed from Sonos Favorites instead of Saved to Sonos Favorites.  The playlist does get added.  The wrong message pops up. 

First of all, I’d like to clarify something: Can I have multiple homes linked to the same Sonos account?For example, House 1 with one system, House 2 with another system, and House 3 with another system, all connected to a single email account for Sonos?This would allow me to control the systems by connecting to the Wi-Fi of each home without the need to have three different accounts with three different emails.That said, here’s the issue:I have a Sonos system with a Move 2 at home.I purchased another Move 2 for the office. Hi,  I have an Arc and sub and I was thinking of adding my 2 Sonos Ones as rear speakers. The issue I am having is that the power cord does not reach the wall plug. I need a 3 meter power cord and I can not seem to find any. My wall plug is just a 2 pin power point, so I can not use an extension lead. Any suggestions or know where I can buy a 3 meter power cord for the Sonos One?

Hi, my Sonos-App on iOS shows the following under Settings → Switch SystemSonos System (1) [5 Rooms] Sonos System (2) [5 Rooms]So if i switch between the systems, nothing obviously changes in the app. If run “Forget System” in the app and “Join an existing system”, it shows “Multiple Systems found” and then lists all my Era 100s and Arc Ultra in System one system, and my 2 Sonos One SLs in another system. When i join any of them, my app is like before (i.e. i see all rooms and speakers and can control them)If they are split, some things can be only done by actively switching the systems, for example if i want to unpair or pair my One SLs into a Stereo set, that only works if i switch to Sonos System (2) (which contains only the One SLs i believe).I already tried factory resetting one of the two One SL and before re-adding it to a system and i made sure i’m in Sonos System (1) before adding the One SL, however, after forgetting the system and rejoining, it still shows them listed in Son

I have the following problem.I had my Gen 1 system working for many years, and today (me stupid) I pressed update..And here are the problems:My play 3 and 5 (1st gen) speakers stopped to playAsking to update but of course won t update because it is not compatible SO I reset play 3 to factory settings on SONOS app,  and downgraded to S1 , but not sure about the result I cannot add it to sonos S1 appPlay 5 was also reset, but I can t even see it on Sonos app, What I am doing wrong?From 6 speakers only 3 are working ( 2 pcs play one, and connect)2 pcs Play 5 and one Play 3 not working

Not sure if it is supposed to or not, but it would be great if the Sonos S2 Controller App when playing a song would call the Windows Media API call so that it would show as now playing and the Windows media shortcut keys would work like volume up and down and previous and next song. Also, when the screen it locked it would show up as the song now playing on the lock screen. This would also allow other applications to display this information as rich presence in applications like Discord.
