I inherited a wall mounted Play 1 speaker, one Play 1 speaker, and I want to add one more speaker to create stereo sound, which sonos speaker should I buy that is compatible with the Play 1?

There isn’t one. You can’t, for instance, setup a stereo pair with a PLAY:1 and a Sonos One, or Era 100. In order to use your current PLAY:1 as part of a stereo pair, you’ll need to find another PLAY:1, most likely in the used marketplaces.
