Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have just purchased a Move 2.I have downloaded the Sonos app, registered and logged in. I have added the speaker to the app.The app is repeatedly asking me to “sign out and sign back in as the owner to manage settings” I am the owner! I have also ‘Transferred System Ownership’ using the tab at the bottom of the settings page, but still no luck.My Spotify is playing music, and the Move 2 comes up as an option to play music via, and I have selected this, but no music is coming through the speaker! I have done a hard reset on the speaker. I have logged in and out multiple times on the app.

I have a problem. I have an arc ultra and it works fine. But when I turn the tv off , after every 2h It switches the tv on even at night. I don’t know why. When I disconnect soundbar everything returns to normal. Does anyone have idea what to do. Please help

As we all know, the current Sonos app on iOS is a big pile of stinking sh*te. I have absolutely no idea how Sonos allowed such an app to be built, let alone released. It does not work. Every time I open it in order to do something, it’s an endless loop of waiting for things to load, having devices not found, devices not responding, laggy controls. Perhaps after a minute of waiting, stabbing randomly at grey boxes, then I can get something to play. Want to change a song? That will then take another minute, if any of the devices respond at all. It really is the pits.So, without throwing my Sonos hardware away, I go to my Mac and use the Mac app to control Sonos, and that works beautifully, as it always had in the past.So my question: how do we get the Sonos S2 app back on our iPhones and iPads? The old apps still work, as evidenced by being able to use the old Mac app. I would happily downgrade my entire system back to S1 but I was stupid enough to buy some Era devices which don’t suppor

Hi, my Sonos Port is connected via Ethernet cable to my router. However, when I check the “Connection” setting, the option to disable WIFI is grayed out. It is like it doesn’t know it is wired to the router. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sonos revolutionised my music listening about 8 years ago. Everything just worked so well. But then the app was updated and it is now almost unusable.  They keep saying they are trying to fix the bugs, but they’ve been saying that for over a year now. Sonos is still s*****.  For something that used to be so seamless, the app now takes forever to connect, so something as simple and pausing the music now takes about a minute.  My question: is there any point sticking with it, or just ditching it entirely and stumping up the cash for something that works? Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

Hi We can’t select Sonos Radio anymore (it started about a week ago) :On both Android and iOS:Message Sonos Radio Account is expired appears After clicking the proposed buttons to ‘re-authorize’ Same message reappears in an endless loopWe have multiple Sonos products, everything is updated.I can find many related topics, but the only suggestion I found is “Use desktop app”, which is not a solution to me.Is there a solution available?Regards Rohalt

My Play 1 will not connect to the network via a wifi or hardwired connection.  Why?  What is the cure? 

Hello everyone,I still have a SONOS Amp Gen 1 (App S1) and would like to stream music via Bluetooth (Airplay) which is currently not possible. Does anyone have experience of connecting a bluetooth receiver in between? ---> Bluetooth receiver is connected to AMP, AMP is connected to speaker --> streaming with iphone possible, check :-)Best wishes

Apparently it's quite difficult for Spence & Co to figure out what their customers want.  Spence and his marketing team thought we wanted a headphone. Maybe we did, but not the one they brought to market. According to rumors they are building a set-top box where a add company is providing the OS. I can tell Spence & Co right now, that that is not going to be a great success.  So let's help them. I can not create a poll, so respondents just have to reply to this post.  From the options below create your own list. Highest priority on the top, lowest at the last spot. I have an Arc as my TV soundbar. It is connected to a Sub, as well as a Connect:Amp for ceiling surrounds. And I have many other older Sonos speakers (pre Era era) throughout the house, and want a stable network. Correct me if any of this is wrong:The Arc and the Connect:Amp have to be wired via the same router for the Connect:Amp to provide surround (confirmed, and it works) The Arc has to be set to Enable Wifi for the Sub to connect (confirmed, and it works) The Connect:Amp has been set to Disable Wifi to hopefully create a stable SonosNet network for all of the other wireless Sonos speakers. Therefore I have a single wired speaker with Wifi Enabled, and a SonosNet network is created.All of my speakers show WM: 0 and are therefore on SonosNet. And they usually work (but sometimes they fail spectacularly - but that could be a bigger network issues). But when I run a network matrix on the system I do not have any device listed as a Root Bridge even though it should be the Arc (I think?

I mostly use the desktop version of S1 Controller, but cannot find “Recently Played.” I also use S1 Controller for iPhone and its there and properly populated, but I much prefer the computer version for its larger screen size and generally fewer click to get to where I want to go.A few Google search results stated that “Recently Played” is limited to S2 systems and controllers. Obviously not true since as stated, it works perfectly well on my S1 Controller for iPhone.What gives?

 Please read/watch this Reddit post about rear speakers not working as intended. Height channels are being used instead. I tested my self on movies and the test tone - the rears are being repurposed for height channels for whatever reason - seems to be a bug. When using Apple Music, I’d like to find a way to autoplay the port to an existing older system.I have a Sonos Port for my turntable and an older pre-AirPlay 2, playbar/sub/Sonos One surrounds system - all located in the living room. I have autoplay to the family room system setup which works nicely for the line-in turntable.  However my problem is: when using Airplay for Apple Music, I always have to group the Port to the family room system.  Shouldn’t autoplay AUTOMATICALLY send the signal to the full system??

I recently upgraded home internet and have a new router ( Bell Fibe ) . All devices connect except Sonos speakers. I have contacted Sonos support and was walked through a process. Result was nothing wrong with Sonos….something wrong with Bell - So, I call Bell and they say “ something wrong with Sonos” I have read up some on potential issues and performed creating a separate 2.4G network. All steps successful until the last step, where I  add in password to my Wifi and Sonos says” incorrect password”. The password is correct so this is not actually the issue. It just wont connect. I have seen some other Sonos users have this same issue but don’t see a lot of replies on it and am curious if anyone has found success in any work-arounds.Thank you !-A/G     

As you may know I have had some issues with my WiFi. Sonos app failing to find speakers or Spotify not showing Sonos speakers. This week I upgraded from WiFi 5 to 6 and hey presto, so far the issues are solved. Eh? 

Hi everyone,  I have been playing aroud with some fine adjustment of my bass setings on my sub and suddenly after increasing the bass settings from -1 to 4-5 , the sub said “BANG” and went quiet for ever. No LED indication or any signs of life. I then decided to open it up and find that my PCB is burned. I do not have that much expirience around fine electronics so I would kindly ask you for help. I took a closer look under the burned spot and all looks find, so I assume that issue is only with those components on the top layer. Did anyone had a similar issue?  

I was having problems with my Sonos one connecting to the internet so was advised by the support to do a factory reset. Now I am unable to connect the product to my network. The wizard comes up and it is able to find my project, it say it is getting my Sonos One ready but then errors. Sometimes it says will send a chime sound but this doesn’t happen and it errors out. I have another Sonos one on my system which is connected fine but I can’t see in the app. I have never been able to have both working with Alexa capabilities at the same time, but I would take what I had because at the moment this one is flashing green at me and is useless!!Does anyone have any advice?thanks 

The S2 system is a disaster. My current list of problems are:Responsiveness to controls renders the system unusable. It takes 5-15 seconds between pressing play or pause before it takes effect, or adjusting the volume, or selecting a new song, and so on … that is if these requests succeed at all. Many such requests don’t. Searches don’t include content from my Music Library which I finally managed to “configure”. I can see on the Synology logs that the Sonos system is accessing it but I can’t browse the content. A pair of Play1’s that were working as a stereo pair before, on S1, can’t be paired together since the S2 system deems them incompatible. Apple TV is unable to control the volume in the room with a playbar, subwoofer and two Play1’s although this might not be a problem with SonosThis is my second attempt to make use of the S2 system since the S2 fiasco was launched on us earlier this year. It has wasted a considerable amount of my time without providing any positive results. I

I am trying to connect my home theater system…arc, two Sonos surround and a sub 4. They are grouped. I just connected tv and the direct tv genie. The remote doesn’t work for sound. 

I set up a friend’s Sonos system on my account and want to transfer that system to them.  Does that leave my original system on my account?ThanksAndrew

I'm new here. How best to report a bug like this?

I have an LG 710 4k projector with earc and want to have a hdmi connection to my projectors earc output, I’ve tried a 25’ hirez hdmi from the projector to the arc but it is not recognized . Is it possible to connect a beam located at the back of the room with the projector to the supplied Sonos short cable to my projectors earc and pair the beam in the app to my arc located under my 106” screen ? Would the arc be recognized as the main soundbar and beam be seen as a surround even if it were to pair ? 

Hello out there in Sonos World, I have a beautiful sounding (and looking!) Sonos system with a play base, two rear speakers and a sub-woofer. The system is about 5 years old. When I recently returned to my Florida home after a lengthy stay in Michigan, my Sonos system would not play any of the songs in my iTunes library. I tried updating my iTunes library on the Sonos system with no luck. In fact, the iTunes library was eliminated from Sonos’s menu of service options. Four sessions with Sonos tech support did not help. None of the agents, although they were very courteous and tried very hard, could not make the iTunes library work on Sonos. One of the agents suggested I switch from iTunes to Apple Music. I did that with only some success. While the Sonos system now at least recognizes Apple Music on its menu options, the vast majority of the songs will not play on Sonos. The songs that won't play show a gray circle with a line through them (please see attached photo). The same is true

I have an issue with my KPN box decoder.I only get stereo sound no matter what I use, tv , apps like Netflix etc.they say because this is a bug of the KPN box and Panasonic (my tv) say sits because of the hdmi that is going to my tv that is not blue to send Dolby .anyone else here with the same problem?
