Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

New app created some issues but system would still function.  Installed a new WiFi router with new network name and now only my pair of Sonos Ones will connect.  My Sonos 5 will not and my older Sonos speakers will not.

Hi. Does anyone else have the issues where the Sonos app is fine for a week but crashes, very consistently, once a week? It requires a delete and reinstallation then works again for a week before we repeat. I’d love to avoid it, what am I doing wrong?I’m on an apple iPhone 15 Pro with the latest OS 18.1.1. Problem has been consistent through the last several OS and app updates and pre-existed OS 18. 

I purchased a Beam Gen 2 last week. After a bit of messing around I got it successfully connected via the ARC HDMI connection (not eARC - my TV doesn’t have that). But since then it keeps dropped out and then reconnecting. I have tried disconnecting everything and powering off and going through setup again. It will then work for 30 mins or so then drop off. TV shows the message TV Speakers Active and the Beam is no longer visible in External Devices in the Bravia Sync section. If I try to reconnect via the Sonos app I get the message that something is interfering with the connection, unplug all home theatre equipment. I don’t have any other home theatre equipment and I have even tried unplugging my DVD player so the Beam is the only connection, but still get this issue. If I do nothing and just leave the TV on the internal speakers, the Beam reconnects after 20 mins or so then disconnects a little later.TV and Beam are fully updated, I’m using the supplied Sonos HDMI cable. Any suggest

Hey there. since about 2 months ago, which is also around when iOS 18 came out (though im not sure they are related), ive been having issues airplaying from my iPhone (or iPad) to my sonos speakers. Either 1 of 2 things happens: there is a 5-10 second delay and then the music or podcast starts playing, or other times, it is never able to play. there is no error message, and my speakers appear in the airplay list just fine. I have power cycled multiple times my: device, both sonos speakers, and my router. i don't see a major difference when i do. software is up to date. this happens when using a variety of apps to airplay, but does not occur when playing directly from the sonos app (which i don't use). Any suggestions or insights would be appreciated. Thanks! Edit: i should follow up by saying ive spoken to support and submitted a diagnostic but they haven't found anything wrong. I can access them on the desktop app (Mac) and I can access my NAS music library fine. Just my Sonos playlists appear in IOS but once I hit play it just spins endlessly 

Beam not playing. It is connected to wifi, but cannot be found either through Spotify or Sonos app. However, when I ask Alexa to play Spotify it works???? But still doesn’t show in app. I’ve deleted and reinstalled updated app. My play 5 is working fine. Not sure what else to do. Thanks

So I have a manual turntable with Sonos dongle into Era100 used only for this gateway purpose.  When I pair the Era100 and my ARC HT, or any other Sonos devices I have, I loose the pairing once I switch from side A to B every single time.  I guess since no more input is sensed with the ERA100 it must default to not be paired anymore, but this is super annoying and frustrating.  Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?  Just to be clear the 100 is not being used as surrounds in HT setup, it was purchased specifically to be a gateway. 

Hello, I have a Playbar+Sub+InCeiling+Amp setup for my TV and love it. I have an open floor plan (8x8 meters) which includes the kitchen and dining/living room. I purchased two more InCeiling speakers with separate Amp as I want to be able to play music in kitchen/dining alone or combined with the TV setup. I am wondering if the setup proposed below would work well in mono. Idea is to hear music when cooking (loud ventilation) and also while sitting at the table. If not, what else would you propose? Thanks, Jessy  

I just got an LG OLED48B49LA and since the internal speakers are really bad, I would like to use my two Sonos Five Speakers with it.This used to work fine with the old TV (plus Apple TV) I had before, as it had a chinch output, so I could connect the TV to the Five speaker through 3,5mm and could control the volume with the Apple TV remote.The new TV does not have that, it only has optical and HDMI Arc.I bought an Optical-Chinch Adapter, which works fine but obviously I can’t control the volume of the speakers with the LG TV remote.This is my question: what options do I have to be able to control the volume of my speakers with the TV remote?Any adapters, any other products to buy that aren’t too expensive? I would like to avoid buying a Sonos Arc for now. Thanks for taking time, I really appreciate it.

Why is the Sonos App so slow to do anything. ?For a reputable company I’m dumbfounded, this is hands down the most frustrating app I’ve ever used. It has been like this since they changed it, why hasn’t it been fixed ?My Sonos speakers are just wireless speakers for my Spotify now (an app that does exactly what it’s supposed too with no issues), I never use the Sonos app anymore, only to group my speakers, which once again it won’t bloody do, Hense why I am writing this. Nothing in my life frustrates me more than this app 🤬🤬🤬

I’ve had a white blinking light on Sonos Beam for several days. I have followed reset (but no orange blink), I have connected to ethernet, no change. I worked through tech support for a while but after some time I was told the product is defective. It is only 2 years old and I’m just checking to see if anyone knows any other procedures that might save it. 

So I have had a Sonos ray for around a year now no complaints at all however it has decided to disappear off my Sonos app and I have tried everything to get it back. Eventually I had to factory reset it and now I have been greeted by error code 1000 in with I feel like I have tried everything and it won’t work. Please help meeeee

Et maintenant, à chaque lancement de la nouvelle appli, j ai une page noire pendant 1min (chronometrée)  avant de pouvoir utiliser mon systeme (2 sonos one sans bluetooth). My system seems to experience issues fetching information from Sonos servers. But is this because of the new router or could it be that there are/have been intermittent issues at Sonos end this weekend? Details:I’ve been using a new Asus RT-AX59U router since yesterday 7.12.2024 1 pm UK time. Air Fairness, QoS, and Smart Connect are disabled.I set it up to use the same SSID and password as the old router. All 4 x Sonos One + Port connected at the time in the new app without issues. All are on 2.4 GHz, 20 MHz width. Sonos devices have reserved leases in the DHCP server. I have the app on Android, 2 x ipad, 1 iphone 14 pro.Problems started yesterday evening: Sonos Voice control reacts quickly to “hey Sonos, play” and “hey Sonos, stop” and works BUT commands that to me need information from the internet do not work: “hey Sonos, how’s the weather” or “hey Sonos, what’s playing” would return many seconds later along the lines of “I couldn’t get that information. No sound on YouTube app only from Song Bravia TV. Other apps have no issues only YouTube. Tried to change to PCM but no avail. Thanks for your help 

First, it requires now your precise physical location (?!) Even then, it can not find any existing product on the network. I highly recommend not to update. Or get rid of sonos before it gets too late 

Since Sonos has had all kinds of issues my SiriusXM drops or stops playing all the time and is very frustrating. I have tried deauthorizing the account. Even called SXM to have them create me a new account and nothing seems to help. Music will just stop playing and I can’t switch to a different XM channel to try and get it to play. It will just time out. Some times I can switch to a different service and then go back but that is hit & miss also. This past year of XM on Sonos has literally sucked. I can play XM no problem through the XM app on my phone. Anyone else experiencing this. My internet service is T-Mobile and I have heard the the cellular services can cause this but I have had this a long time and just this year when all the Sonos problems started happening so did this. Would love some help here. 

I don’t know if it’s just me but every time I use the App, which is every day, something doesn’t work like it should. I’m talking about basics like getting sound out of speakers/rooms selected and adjusting volume. What is the f’ing problem? It’s been 6 months since Sonos promised to fix it and it is still a horrible experience trying to get everything to work. I just want to be able to listen to music without worrying about out whether the sound will come out where I want it and at a volume I can control.Right at this moment I have music playing in three rooms and the only way to control volume is to physically walk to each speaker to make adjustments. In the App, the sliders don’t show volume levels and do not allow adjustments. WTF. I know I’m not alone when I say that wish I could get my thousands of dollars back that I have invested. Hi,I recently bought an LG Oled G4 and a Sonos Beam Gen2.Bar is connected trough hdmi earc port.When playing some hbo max content in dolby atmos, I only get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 label in sonos app, but not Dolby Atmos.Also,I notice that I need to set the volumen around 40-50, it  iis lower than other entries.I am using the streaming apps in webOS, not third party devices.what I am doing wrong?

I have a Samsung TV with a HDMI-Earc port for my Sonos system. I have a Spectrum DVR box connected to the TV. My Sonos system is a Sonos ARC, a Sub Mini and 2-Era 100’s for surround sound.I am having 2 issues that happen from time to time, but not always. #1) Sometimes when I power up the DVR box and TV, normally there is a pause for the sound until the TV connects to the Sonos system and then the sound would come out of the Sonos system. Sometimes the sound is muted. And what I have been having to do is to unplug the HDMI from the Sonos Arc and plug it back in. Then the TV will recognize the system and all will be OK. #2 problem) While we are watching something we recorded on the Spectrum DVR box, after fast forwarding through the commercials, when you would play, there might be no sound. What we have been having to do for this problem is hit like pause, then play. Or back up a little and then forward. Stuff like that to get the sound to play again. I am not sure if these problems are

Hi,I’ve been fighting with this for the best part of 2 days now after upgrading my old Sonos system, replacing  a connect with a port and adding an ERA 100 and replacing S1 app with the new thing. I’ve always kept my music on a NAS drive so that I can share it more easily(I play in a band and we record our practice sessions and ideas) and so that it doesn’t take over system drives.My system consists of a Windows 10 computer, an android tablet, an iphone 15 and a macbook pro. After about ½ a day I finally managed to get Sonos to see the USB drive on my Macbook pro but there seems like no way that it will look at the NAS drive connected to the router.Is it even possible to still access a NAS drive? I’ve looked at all of the advice online that I can find but nothing seems to work :-(As an ex software designer/developer I often wonder whether companies do any testing at all before they release new software and firmware.Now from being rather fond of Sonos I’ve reached the stage where I wish

I just installed two Era 100 speakers in my living room. How do I get both speakers to work at the same time?

So I often listen to music on my system when I am not watching TV - its sub optimal obviously.The fact that the ERA 300’s are set as surround means that their main front firing Driver is disabled for music.Would it not be a simple software fix to engage the front firing drivers if the user/owner has selected to listen to music from known music only sources - eg Sonos and Tidal etc.   

Since the last update 80.02.05 which happened 6/24 I can no longer update nor create or save any old or new alarms. I thought everything was fixed until they messed everything up again with the latest update. Does anybody else have this problem? This is extremely frustrating seeing how Sonos could be so incompetent...these updates.

When I first set up the Sonos ZP90, it successfully connected.But a few days later both Windows and Android apps couldn’t find my ZP90.An orange light blinks continually. It doesn’t turn to green.I tried to reset it several times but it didn’t work.
