Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have been using the Spotify playlist alarm feature for a while. I have recently moved home and re set up my 2 Sonos era 100's which included setting up my alarms.Even though I have selected the Spotify playlist, they still use the chime alert for all alarms.My Internet is fine and I have done the following:Deleted all alarms, reset the app, uninstalled it, reinstalled it and then re set up the alarms with no success. Someone mentioned re setting the speakers. Is that a feature I can do from the app or is is simply doing the reset where you hold the bluetooth button whilst plugging it in? Any advice?

So I’ve done alot of testing listening to 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos videos and movies. I’ve found that the Arc Ultra plays surround sounds through the soundbar even though I have connected 2 Era 100s as surrounds. On top of this the volume in the Era 100s is extremely low. If I turn up the “Surround”-slider it increases both the Eras but also the sound coming from the Soundbar and the issue persists.It’s really distracting as it ruins the soundstage. Sounds that are supposed to come from behind now are audible from the front. Not only that but the Arc Ultra has a stronger treble than the Era 100 which makes it even more noticable. I tried EQing in hopes that maybe I could just “live with it” but honestly for the price I really shouldn’t have to compromise.I’ve researched online and found people with similar issues in posts that are over 45 days old and in them people claim “Sonos has acknowledges the issue and are working on a patch to fix it.”. My Sonos iPhone App can no longer find my Sonos system on my home network.I can connect to my Sonos system on my MacBook, my iPad and use the voice control to operate it but the iPhone app just won’t connect.I did try following the in app instructions to update my Sonos system wifi settings to the wifi it is already using but when I try this the set-up fails.My iPhone 16 Pro Max is running iOS 18.1 (22B83)Yes,  have checked I have updated to the latest Sonos app version - V: 80.11.39 that updated 2 days ago. Yes, “Local Network” is enabled and I am using the same internet connection on my phone as my Sonos system. Yes, I turned off and on again all the speakers and my iPhone. Any thoughts as to why the app has stopped working?  

I have several Sonos speakers amps, all of the older generation (Play 3, Play 1, AMP).They are all integrated into our domotics and power is automatically cut to the speakers when not in use.This saves about 10 kWh of stand-by energy/year for the Sonos speakers alone (all our devices with stand-by current use are as far as possible automatically cut from power when not in use).  I never had an issue with Sonos stuff with this configuration until I bought a set of Era 100’s to replace some Play 1’s.When they are cut from the power, they loose their configuration.They start up after resuming power with a blinking green LED and I have to add them to the app again, every time.It looks like the configuration in the Era 100 is stored in volatile memory instead of non-volatile memory and can only survive a short power interruption. It’s not a network issue (I’m into IT and run a professional Wifi network in my home with a seperate 2.4 GHz SSID for the Sonos stuff). My play 5 gen 1 will not reset. I folled the instructions but it never blinked orange and white?

After installing the new software upgrade the optical input no longer plays tv audio. I bought a new Tosslink cable -- still no sound.  I can get the Playbar to play music from the Sonos app, but not from the TV as before.  There are on controls for the optical out on the Samsung TV. I’m at wit’s end since the TV sound is so inferior. I spent one hour with tech support with little help.  Is there someone with a similar problem.

I have an LG oled tv that comes with the RF magic remote and I’m thinking of buying the Sonos Ray.Does the magic remote work with the Ray or do I need an adapter for them to be compatible?Cheers

I have an album list in Prime Music that when loaded into the Sonos App under Prime/My Music/Album it used to match perfectly.  Now when I access the Prime Album list on Sonos there are numerous random individual songs inserted into the Album list.  The inserted songs are NOT saved anywhere in Prime or Sonos.  I went back directly to the Prime app and made sure the random songs weren’t showing up there and they weren’t.   I want to get back to the simple album list but have been unsuccessful...I have deleted and reloaded my Prime Music app and Sonos app, I have disconnected and reconnected Prime with Sonos, I have turned my phone on and off. Anyone else having this issue and any suggestions...

Hello and Marry Christmas to all!So today I got my self Sonos Ray, the setup was smooth and I can use the remote and all is good, however if I move slightly further from the tv, the signal is not getting through just to clarify, when I’m close to the Sonos, everything is working, when I go back to my usual sitting place, all I see is the volume indicator on the TV but the Sonos is not reacting My living room is very small, the maximum distance is about 2.5 meters any ideas?Thank you all in advance  

My speakers start out at a high volume and as soon as the bass kicks in, it turns down. I’m not sure what to do. Does anyone have suggestions?

I have Arc Ultra and Era 100 surrounds.For whatever reason only quick Trueplay seems available on my iPad Pro M1.The advanced option doesn’t appear to be an option.can anyone tell why this is?

i have a play 3 in the kitchen and a Move in the sitting room. Both have always worked fine, as has the app. two weeks ago, the app no longer connects in the sitting room and i can only play music if i go to the kitchen. when there, the play 3 always works, and sometimes i can get music playing on the Move as well. but when i come back to the sitting room, i again cant connect to the app. Is anyone able to suggest any fixes? i have tried the live chat with Sonos but they have suggested i change my entire wifi set up - which doesnt seem appropriate given every other wifi device in the house works perfectly. I have also tried calling Sonos support but the advertised wait is usually 120 minutes. If anyone has a suggestion i would be very grateful - thank you very much

Hi all, My Sonos Connect Gen 2 keeps dropping out. It can stay connected and working fine for days of use, then all of a sudden it will not be available in my system.Some basics: It’s connected by ethernet to a switch in my office. Wifi is turned off. I use toslink/optical to connect to a Denon amp with DALI speakers. I have a static IP address assigned in my address table. 192.168.1.100.When this tends to happen: I stream internet radio through tune-in. Once it’s playing it’s totally fine. But once i stop the stream through the app or through the physical button and leave it over night, the next day it’s almost guaranteed to not be connected. Other things i have noticed: I have noticed on reboot one time that there was interference or noise coming through my speakers. I am not sure what this was (could have been the cable, but unlikely). I suspect it was coming directly from the Connect itself.I think this is not a networking issue (as most people point to these days), but a hardware

Bought a sonos hdmi to optical converter.  Tried everything, but can not get the optical to light up and connect to soundbar.  Also tried a converter from Amazon, tried different HDMI cords.  Speaker works when connected to satellite box via optic cable. I do not want to replace an 8 year old sound bar for $1200, when I just saved $650 buying an 85" tv.  Anyone had any luck with this?

I have been using Apple Music service in Sonos App fine to play music library on my iPhone. I was told recently that Sonos app needed to be updated which I did. Now I get continuing looping message that Apple Music access has expired. Reauthorised. i reauthorise but keep getting message. I have removed service and add again. I have deleted Sonos app and reinstalled the add service again but still not working.chatted online with Sonos support and was told I need to pay Apple Music subscription to get service to which I said was not correct as it was working fine before Sonos app update.i can use Apple Music app fine standalone only get this problem using it as a service within Sonos app.    

I used to use raspberry pi + digi+ coax out connect into DAC using Volumio… and i am quite happy with the setup… my music server got lots of FLAC at up to 24/48.kHZ and can play HDCD out of my FLAC.. how do i know because i am using Parasound D/AC-2000 and it show the output at 44/48 and HDCD…recently i got a Sonos Connect Gen 2… perfect for Sonos Apps S2…. and i found out in Line Out Level for Sonos Connect got 3 options, Variable, Fixed and Pass-Through… what is the best setting ? and can i stream my FLAC at 24/48kHZ or even got HDCD decoding on it ?  

So my system is made up of old kit - ZP’s, Play:1 & 3’s etc - and after spending hours yesterday finally getting it all updated and connected again after months of not being able to get it all to work, I went into the S1 app today and opened on a page telling me to use the S2 app!!! It’s now stuck on a page telling me to switch to the S2 app and there is no option to ignore this. Closing and reopening the app simply goes to the same page!It says all my kit can be controlled from the S2 with an upgrade, which it obviously cant be (ZP’s!!), and clicking on the options it gives me on screen there is no way to simply ignore this page and return to the S1 app to start using my system!!! It has options for disconnecting from my network, resetting the app, downgrading products etc etc but no way to get back to the S1 tabs and actually start using the system.  I have to say I nearly binned the lot and swicthed systems several times over the last few months as Sonos seem to have made it clo

I’ve been through the previous posts on the 913 error. My music folder is shared with Sonos Wireless HiFi System with Read permissions. I have SMBv2 enabled (although I’m not sure if this is a one-time thing or if I have to enable this on every reboot). No matter what, I still get the error whether I select My Music folder, browse to its location, or select the network drive. The reason it doesn’t work using the network drive in my case is understandable - my music folder is not on a separate computer. My problems arrive because I don’t want any of my data on the same drive as the operating system. My Music folder is on my D: drive. Sonos will not connect to it. However, if I copy a few music files over to an empty folder on C:\, in my case PerfLogs, I was able to connect this folder to Sonos, have it show up in my Music Library, select songs, and add it to a playlist. Then they played at the proper time.Sonos needs to allow references to internal drives.

Hello,Is there a way that I can listen to my tv on my sonos arc, and music on my sonos era100, at the same time?TIA

To troubleshoot a different issue, I removed and re-added all tracks to an existing Sonos playlist (using the Windows controller, as this option has STILL not been restored to the Android app!). At least, that was the plan. Re-adding from my local library worked fine, but I could not add the single song from Spotify that was previously in this playlist.Is this a new infuriating limitation? Or might there be a solution?
