Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi! Right now i have a soundbar under the TV. I use this for better sound on the television. The first gen Sonos Beam. I want rear speakers. Can I add one another Sonos soundbar behind me? Or do I only have the option of simple speakers. Like Sonos Era.Thank you for the answers.

Seriously, we were promised that this capability would be restored back in July and here we still are.  Getting ready to dump all my Sonos products and move on since they have degraded the service so much.

 When the TV is shut OFF most of the time the Arc-Sub-300s go into Mute which is fine.  When I start some music on that same system it does NOT automatically come out of Mute. 

My wife started up the Sonos App, using the old Android app I have rolled back to, as this works reliably, to play our Sonos Xmas playlist we have used faultlessly, throughout the house for that last couple of years and….and nothing… Playlist there, but tracks don’t play.Took a while to explain SMBV1 shares….but in the end….don’t care where are all my Xmas tunes….Copied the Xmas files to family PC, so could at least play, but family kept turning PC off.In the end my son solved it, Android phone connected to SMBv1 music share to his JBL speaker. Job done. Well done Android for legacy support.Sonos you don’t realise the heart ache (and ear ache !!) you have caused by breaking perfectly usable, 100 reliable, working systems…Whilst using SMBv1 file sharing no files were lost, no hackers guessed passwords (its 1234 if you want to know), nobody took over my files, no PC’s were compromised….IT ALL JUST ONCE WORKED…..

Terrible. My sound system stopped working. Was on the phone with customer support for 2 hrs... no fix. They said a supervisor would follow up with me via email. Crickets.

I just purchased an Arc and wish to mount it on a wall that is fully loaded  with air ducts.  Is the Arc light enough to mount on the wall just in the sheet rock as oppose to into a stud?  I’m not comfortable mounting the TV on the wall but hope to mount the Arc soundbar.  Please advise.

The Living room has two Play 5 (Gen 1) configured with stereo and a Sub. One speaker (on the left) won’t play the split stereo sound.  I’ve disconnected the power to the Bridge and re-started it.  When I try TRuplay, it stops because it can’t hear the one speaker.  I switched the sides of where the Play 5s, and the trouble switched from the right side to the left.  I disconnected the sub and that did nothing.  I repeatedly disconnected the stereo configuration and then reconnected it.  In the media room has a soundbar connected to the TV and a Sonos Connect that runs our turntable.  So far the problems have been isolated to the Living Room.Any advice is appreciated.  Do I have a dead Play 5?  Thanks. 

Hi Considering purchasing Ace headphones for Sonos compatibility but still have Playbase as main TV soundbar. Its paired with Sub Mini which is newer tech - is there no way you’ll be incorporating TV audio swap for Playbase ( it’s newer than Playbar) or able to work via Mini?it’s just a dealbreaker over the £100 extra over say Sony or Sennheiser quality ANC headphones otherwise thanks 

Every week or so I have to reauthorize Sonos Radio. Previous to the new app, I did not need to do this.I see that this issue has been raised before 3 or 4 years ago, but I don’t see any references to this issue currently.

After some update I suppose, my sub has disconnected and will not register.  It is stuck on an update and just will not update.   Have been on with support twice where they have tried to force the update and both hung up on me after failing to resolve this issue.   Scheduled a level 2 callback who never called.   All suggestions they have dont work.  I don't think they know how to resolve.   

Has anyone else had this problem?I bought a new set 12/24 from costco of era 100s I couldn't get them to pair, and they only showed up on the app as optimo1. 

I just got my basement setup with Sonos and have Amazon music I want to play but it doesn’t show on the app as a content service.  I am in the US

When I open up the XM app on Sonos. It only loads three stations. Been dealing with multiple levels of support. Trying to see if anyone else is having this issue. Extremely frustrating.

I have a playlist on Apple  Music which I have played through the Sonos app for many years. Now all of a sudden I can’t play it, I can see it but when I click on it I get the message “Something went wrong try again “ I can play everything else in Apple Music 

Why does it seem like every time I open my Sonos app there’s always a new change in a surprise that makes you wonder why. Does anyone have an idea why my list of you music is now missing?

I have been using the Spotify playlist alarm feature for a while. I have recently moved home and re set up my 2 Sonos era 100's which included setting up my alarms.Even though I have selected the Spotify playlist, they still use the chime alert for all alarms.My Internet is fine and I have done the following:Deleted all alarms, reset the app, uninstalled it, reinstalled it and then re set up the alarms with no success. Someone mentioned re setting the speakers. Is that a feature I can do from the app or is is simply doing the reset where you hold the bluetooth button whilst plugging it in? Any advice?

So I’ve done alot of testing listening to 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos videos and movies. I’ve found that the Arc Ultra plays surround sounds through the soundbar even though I have connected 2 Era 100s as surrounds. On top of this the volume in the Era 100s is extremely low. If I turn up the “Surround”-slider it increases both the Eras but also the sound coming from the Soundbar and the issue persists.It’s really distracting as it ruins the soundstage. Sounds that are supposed to come from behind now are audible from the front. Not only that but the Arc Ultra has a stronger treble than the Era 100 which makes it even more noticable. I tried EQing in hopes that maybe I could just “live with it” but honestly for the price I really shouldn’t have to compromise.I’ve researched online and found people with similar issues in posts that are over 45 days old and in them people claim “Sonos has acknowledges the issue and are working on a patch to fix it.”. My Sonos iPhone App can no longer find my Sonos system on my home network.I can connect to my Sonos system on my MacBook, my iPad and use the voice control to operate it but the iPhone app just won’t connect.I did try following the in app instructions to update my Sonos system wifi settings to the wifi it is already using but when I try this the set-up fails.My iPhone 16 Pro Max is running iOS 18.1 (22B83)Yes,  have checked I have updated to the latest Sonos app version - V: 80.11.39 that updated 2 days ago. Yes, “Local Network” is enabled and I am using the same internet connection on my phone as my Sonos system. Yes, I turned off and on again all the speakers and my iPhone. Any thoughts as to why the app has stopped working?  

I have several Sonos speakers amps, all of the older generation (Play 3, Play 1, AMP).They are all integrated into our domotics and power is automatically cut to the speakers when not in use.This saves about 10 kWh of stand-by energy/year for the Sonos speakers alone (all our devices with stand-by current use are as far as possible automatically cut from power when not in use).  I never had an issue with Sonos stuff with this configuration until I bought a set of Era 100’s to replace some Play 1’s.When they are cut from the power, they loose their configuration.They start up after resuming power with a blinking green LED and I have to add them to the app again, every time.It looks like the configuration in the Era 100 is stored in volatile memory instead of non-volatile memory and can only survive a short power interruption. It’s not a network issue (I’m into IT and run a professional Wifi network in my home with a seperate 2.4 GHz SSID for the Sonos stuff). Panasonic P65ST60 tv. Sonos Arc soundbar. Running 80.14.07 app on iPhone 14 Pro iOS 18.1.1Run TruePlay tuning. The test sounds go off for a while then I get this message: Something went wrong. We were unable to custom tune your Family Room. Please try again.Tried again multiple times.Any ideas? 

My play 5 gen 1 will not reset. I folled the instructions but it never blinked orange and white?

After installing the new software upgrade the optical input no longer plays tv audio. I bought a new Tosslink cable -- still no sound.  I can get the Playbar to play music from the Sonos app, but not from the TV as before.  There are on controls for the optical out on the Samsung TV. I’m at wit’s end since the TV sound is so inferior. I spent one hour with tech support with little help.  Is there someone with a similar problem.
