I have a new Beam Gen 2, Sub mini and Era 100. I live in a Care Home and we have an unsecured WiFi network. When setting up the Beam, the process wants me to enter the WiFi password but the network doesn’t have one as it is unsecured. I leave the password field blank and press “continue” but the next message states that it is unable to continue the process.  The help desk says that Sonos equipment only connects to secured networks but I have read on the Sonos website that’s Sonos equipment can connect to unsecured networks. Can anyone advise me of how to complete the setup process. Thank you

You do not want it on an unsecured network.  Anyone with a phone could download the app and connect, then change the music anytime they wish.

The solution (if the facility allows) is to get a travel router and connect that to the unsecured network.  Then connect the Sonos to the travel router.
