move 2 or a pair of era 100

A stereo pair of Era 100s will produce a much better stereo sound than a single Move 2. Both the Era 100 and Move 2 have the same amount of tweeters and woofers, and while the Move 2 will have a better ‘punch’ as some users say, a stereo pair would be the better choice if you’re not taking the Move 2 around with you.

Currently the only feature you’d be missing would be the portable aspect of the Move 2, but if you were to get the Era 100s then you could add a soundbar or Sub to pair with them, something you can’t do with the Move 2. I don’t own the Move 2 myself, so maybe other community users who have experienced both products can reply with their experience or review.

That is what i was wondering. Well i now have to go back to the store to change the move 2. I think for my small deck outside the roam sl should be fine to complet the setup

​@Jamie A and between a pair of era 100 and an era 300 knowing that i dont have dolby atmos record. You would chose a pair of era 100 ?

I have an Era 300 without access to any Dolby Atmos tracks and I think it’s a great speaker. It has four tweeters and two woofers, which would add up to the same amount than an Era 100 stereo pair has, but the Era 300 has the benefit of having it’s speakers all around its chassis instead of front firing only. 

If you were to go with the Era 300 instead of an Era 100 stereo pair, you’d have to buy another Era 300 if you wanted to use it as surrounds. If you don’t add a Sub to the Era 300 or add a soundbar to your system, then you’re only losing out on the portability aspect you have currently with the Move 2.

Personally, I would recommend the Era 300 if you’re just looking for a speaker to play your music and play it well. Due to it’s design, it has an excellent room covering soundstage, even without stereo pairing.

I guess now my only concern will be to spend an extra 300 euros (100 upgrade + 200 roam) 🤣. Well i feel like i'm gonna make myself a nice gift!

I don’t think there are bad options here, but given the choice between a single speaker (Move 2 or Era 300) and a pair of Era 100s, I’m going with the Era 100s.  I just prefer the stereo separation if it make sense for the room I’m using it/them in. 

That said, if you have a larger room and are open to expanding to a 2nd Era 300 in the future, than that’s the way to go.  In many cases, it makes sense to start off with the Era 100s, then later upgrade to Era 300s and move the Era 100s to a different room.  A great thing about Sonos is that you can easily add and repurpose speakers.  Again, no wrong answers.

Well yes two era 300 would be Amazing i am sure but then i'll have to explain things to m'y banker 😂. 

Reading your comments i think i will change my sonos move 2 for two era 100 and add a roam later for my terrace. 

Indeed i think era 100s will be a good choice to start and upgrade later.
