Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I recently deleted and re installed my music library in the hope that album artwork would return (it hasn’t, I assume this has not been corrected in the new app yet). The music is stored on NAS and the folder was added successfully.However when I look in album view there are now multiple instances of some titles, some which appear to have no tracks attached. When you look in artist or search by album title or artist the tracks are there although some have missing tracks or tracks out of order or in some instances the wrong track plays!I tried a clean install, deleting the app, reseting both sonos ones and reinstalling the library, same results on the same album titles!I have a raspberry pi based music player running moode and it indexes the library with no issues!Any tips would be appreciated.

I don't seem to be able to get anything other than lossless in Apple music when listening with my Sonos ace. Settings are set for spatial but is there something else I need to do? Thanks 

I have had a Sonos Ray for about a year, it was fine initially but there’s been the odd occasion this crackling noise starts but I’ve never called up about because it will resolve itself for months then come back. Recently it’s coming up when I log into Netflix, I’m disappointed and was close to buying other Sonos products but it’s put me off, is this a common fault? It also disconnects from my Wi fi on occasion too.

Hello, I wonder if someone could help me understand if my home cinema setup below  could work. I have an older projector (infocus sp8600) which i connected to my macbook pro m1 2020 via usbc->hdmi cable. This takes care of the visual only. The question is about connecting the Sonos speakers to my macbook pro M1 2020. I’m looking two option to buy from Sonos. Option A: a Sonos Beam 2nd gen and a Sonos Sub mini.  Can i use airplay to output the sound from my MacBook to the Beam or i need to use a usb-c to hdmi cable with the hdmi optical adapter that comes with the Beam? Option B: 2x Era 100 speakers plus a Sub mini. As the Era 100 have Bluetooth i assume i could connect the MacBook to the Era that way? But I’m unsure if i it would work to just connect to one of the Era 100 by bluetooth and the second Era 100 plus the Sub would then pick up the sound from the Era that is connected to the MacBook? Or i could use airplay? Or would need a usbc - > hdmi and hdmi to optical adapter to c

My husband and I have been happy Sonos users since the early days of ZoneBridges and ZonePlayers.  But suddenly, two days ago, our playback from Amazon Music Unlimited has become unusable.  Songs are starting and then stopping and skipped.  It eventually starts the next song in the queue or station, but the issue continues.  A quick Google shows that this is an issue for many.I have checked all my connections (wired to my One and Amp) and everything is normal.  My internet is stable and fast.  I rebooted every device.  I deauthorized and reauthorize Amazon Music in the Sonos app, but no improvement.As a test, I signed up for a trial of Spotify and it works flawlessly as does a streaming radio station we also listen to.  And Amazon Music plays just fine if we stream from our phones to a separate Bluetooth speaker.  This issue seems to be Amazon specific using Sonos.Has anyone determined what is going on and what a solution is?  I hate to have to tell Jeff Bezos that he will soon be losi

I have a Samsung frame tv connected via HDMI ARC to my Sonos beam (Living Room). There’s a sub link and 6 other speakers (5 era 100’s and 2 roam SL’s). The sub mini is plugged by Ethernet directly into our router. All are correctly connected to the network and all play music together but when the TV line-in kicks in, the sound only plays through the beam even though it shows all speakers should be playing sound. I’m stumped on how to fix this!

This post applies mainly to ASUS routers that incorporate AiMesh setup; but may be applicable to other brands. I have three (3) Asus ZenWiFi Pro ET12 WiFi 6 routers configured in AiMesh via wired backhaul.I’ve seen posts indicating that WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 routers lend connectivity issues with Sonos. It’s been recommended to disable the WiFi 6 or WiFi 7 bands. As you can see from the screenshot below I have all three (3) bands active. I have WiFi 6 Apple products that use the WiFi 6 GHz including this iPad Pro 13 inch I’m currently using to pen this post. I have devices (cameras, Alexa & Google, TV’s, Apple TV’s, washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, lights_ Phillips Hue & Wiz, security system, Android tablet, Apple cell phones, tablets & computers, HVAC system and 31 Sonos products) that use 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and as mentioned the 6Ghz band. The difference that allows my network to have consistent connectivity for all my devices is as follows:Asus Smart Connect is disabled Al

Upgraded my Arc to an Ultra. It’s part of a setup with Eras 300 surrounds and a sub 3. I also have a Sub 4 still boxed new and currently unused.  My first setup I had the ultra wired and everything else WifI and for no sub response. Resetting everything and trying with an ultra on WiFi as well for the sub working but it seems noticeably weaker.  the inception soundtrack no longer shakes the room and it seems like the ultra is carrying 90% of the bass and the sub is running like 10%. Anyway to fix this, the sub3 seems to be barely working?

Hallo, ik heb een Sateliet encoder van Canal+ verbonden met mijn Samsung smart tv via de HDMI input op de one connectbox. Het geluid gaat via de HDMI ARC naar de Beam gen 2 en dat werkt goed.Nu heb ik onlangs een tweede Samsung smart tv gekocht. Ik heb geprobeerd om het signaal te splitsen voordat het naar de one connectbox gaat en dat aan te bieden via de HDMI ARC op de tweede tv. Dit werkt zolang beide tv’s aanstaan. Wel identificeert hij zich dan als de sonosbeam. Zet ik de tweede tv uit dan krijg ik geluidsproblemen.  Het geluid wordt een paar seconde harder dan weer een paar seconde zachter.Mijn vraag is simpel. Hello,I have a Sonos system with : Beam GEN1 + Sub mini + two One SL And a Apple TV 4K (2022) for streaming videos connected to a TV HDMI port.I recently bought a new TV (Philips 55OLED849) with only one eARC HDMI port.Now i can have Dolby Atmos using eARC HDMI connection to a new Beam GEN2 (compatible with Dolby Atmos).But is it necessary to connect my Apple TV to a HDMI eAR to benefit Dolby Atmos ? because i only have one eARC port on my new TV. The others HDMI port are 2.1 but not ARC/eARC.Thanks for helping me

Sonos app ask me to check for update - but update stops every time with the message “Sonos update failed. An unexpected failure appeared” (or something like this..)I have deleted/uninstalled the app on Macbook several times, and downloaded new 16.5 version on www.sonos.com.Same problem each time…Anyone have a solution?Terry :-)Norway

Bass with Arc Ultra, ERA300, and any combination of Sub3 and Sub 4 is very poor.  Originally, I hooked up the Ultra and ERA300s in the exact locations of my previous Beam2 and Ones with only the Sub3 (exact location as well).  I ran True Play with an iPhone and ran some tests.  The bass wasn’t good.  I then ran the basic True Play with a Samsung Android phone and the bass was still not good.  So I ordered the Sub4 and now have both Sub3 and Sub4 in the system.  The bass does NOT seem any better with 2 subs.  In fact I could probably remove 1 or both and get similar results.Looking for suggestions on what to do.  Turning True Play off doesn’t really seem to help all that much either. Not sure if something maybe got cached from the prior True Play attempts.

I have a Sonos Connect box with S2 apps, on Windows, Android and iOS.  Music library is on a QNAP NAS, but cannot be added anymore.  Library has always worked fine, but with upgrade to S2 we had to remove the connection, now it cannot be added again.  No matter what we try, and believe me, I have tried everything I could find on the Internet, it keeps on giving me an error 1002.  Firewalls are OK (Norton Antivirus at Windows), systems are set to SMBV2-3, shared folder permissions are OK for all involved users ...Is this just another issue that belongs to the “S2” disaster upgrade, and if so, when could we expect a solution for this ?Any idea, tip, hint, things to consider would be greatly appreciated …PS: shared folders on my Windows computer can be added, but the big library is at our NAS ...

Does anyone know how to set an alarm to play a track on loop from the local library? I have a track of rain sounds that I’d like to play at the same time each night, I can accomplish this manually but am trying to automate this and I am losing my mind here. The alarms are buried in a secret location in the app, and even after finding them, there is no way to select a track from the local library. The search function when set to local library finds nothing. I also still receive phone notifications for deleted alarms, what in the world?

Hello!  I have a Sonos Arc (with Dolby Atmos) with 2 Era 100’s hooked up to my Epson Home Cinema 2350 4K Pro-UHD Smart Streaming Projector with Android TV. The Arc is connected to the Projector via an 8k HDMI cable into the ARC slot. It works great watching Netflix and certain Amazon Prime movies/shows. No sound comes out when watching older movies or shows. Hardly any sound comes out watching Peacock shows. My question (s): How do I get the sound to work to watch older movies/shows and Peacock? I have reset the app (s) multiple times as well as checked all the connections. It is extremely frustrating. The sound on YouTube does not work either. Could it be something to do with Android TV?Thanks and Merry Christmas!  

Hello, We currently have an Arc SL, a sub (gen2), and 2-era 300’s.We recently purchased a Panasonic Dp-UB820 blue ray player.  We also have a Samsung 7 series tv with an e-arc hdmi port.   When playing Atmos movies, everything is fine.  However, playing anything else, the disk menu shows up as Dolby Digital 5.1.  As soon as the movie starts, the app switches to Stereo PCM and the sound changes.   I’ve read so many forums,  I’ve updated cables, powered down components, and set everything I could set.  I have the Tv set to:Sound Output-Receiver (hdmi-eARC), under Expert Settings,  I have HDMI-eARC mode set to Auto, Digital output set to pass-through and Dolby Atmos compatibility turned on.   On the Panasonic, I have the following:HDMI-video+video output mode (nothing else is hooked up to the player).  I have tried toggling the digital audio outputs on dts/dts-hd to pcm or bitstream with no change Dolby audio is set to bitstream though I’ve tried toggling options here as well.   secondary

i have just reconnected my 2 x play 1 and sound bar to the app, had all the chimes and been told it’s all set up but as soon i try to play music it’s saying not connected, any ideas?

Good afternoon, I have a Beam gen2 bar and two era 300, I am somewhat disappointed because I have to lower and raise the volume depending on whether there is dialogue in the movie or if there is music or sounds, I don't know if this is normal because it is very annoying to have to be with the controller in your hand to decrease or increase the volume.

I have Denon s740h receiver. What’s the best to connect my arc ultra, sub and era 100? Is their steps or videos I can get? I need help connecting all this with my extra speakers to the receiver. 

As far as I can tell it seems that it is not possible to connect to a Beam 2 to play music via Bluetooth. However, Sonos makes the Move and Roam products which to allow connecting via Bluetooth. It seems it’s also possible to group a Move 2 and a Beam; what’s still unclear to me is whether you can then play music on the Beam (and possibly a sub it is bonded with) via Bluetooth connected to the Move 2? I’m really only trying to do this for music / podcasts, so it’s not the end of the world if it introduces some kind of sync issue for TV. Thanks!Moderator edit: Edited to specify Move 2 as with title, as Move 2 can but Move cannot.

I have three Sonos speakers and I’m trying to access settings in the app, but the app keeps saying to sign in as the system owner. I am going to assume that at some point I added these speakers using a different email address than what I am using right now. But, I only have two email addresses and I tried using the other email address, but couldn’t sign in. I thought maybe I had forgotten the password, so I requested a password reset link to be sent to that email address, but when I do it, the Sonos website acts like it sent the email, but I never receive anything in my inbox. I have checked spam folders also.How do I fix this issue?

My WiFi changed, so tried to update it on both Play 1 speakers—using Ethernet the system finally recognized the speakers and stated they would update separately one at a time. It only worked for one. I try to “add speaker” and it cannot find my model. Tried with and without Ethernet cable.
