Hi all!
So, my 8 year old Sony is giving up. Based on your experience, what brand pairs well with Arc Ultra?

I would personally choose either Sony or LG.
I’ve had both brands but my last 2 TV’s have both been LG OLED’s. I owned a C7 OLED for 7 years and currently I have a LG G4 OLED 65” but the C4 is also very good. My TV is connected via eARC to an Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and 2 x Era 100’s. I have had zero issues using LG TV’s with Sonos and other audio sources.
Samsung is another popular choice but they do not support Dolby Vision which is why I don’t use them, that and the fact their service is dismal where I come from. Samsung supports the dynamic HDR standard HDR10+ which is not supported by the likes of Netflix but Amazon Prime does support it. Dolby Vision is considered the most widely supported dynamic HDR format. I am not familiar with their support for Sonos or audio in general.
Hope the above helps.
Hi! Thanks for the reply. I am just having the wife talk about the screen size and brand. I have read good thing about LG-Sonos combination. I would like a Sony but they are overpriced.

Sony is crazy overpriced. The “Sony Tax” is legit thing.
Another thing not forget about Samsung, much like Sonos, both apparently too cheap to support DTS:X.
It is main reason I went with LG. And main reason I’ll never buy another Samsung again until they support DTS:X.
