Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi,For no apparent reason my Spotify connect has stopped playing on Sonos. When I choose to play a song in Spotify on Sonos, Spotify app tries to make a connection and silently fails. However, if I group speakers in Sonos, I can see the groups in Spotify i.e. some data is transferred successfully.I have tried connecting from Spotify Mac app and Ios app with same results. I have rebooted all Sonos devices, routers and reinstalled Ios Spotify app.  All help appreciated!

My speakers are acting in a very bizarre manner.  At any random point, day or night, they suddenly turn on and off in a quick fashion, like at a rate of 3 - 4 times per second.  I have a video I can share if needed.  When I open the app, it’s showing the music start and pause in a super quick fashion.  I can’t pause it, change stations, or anything.  If I try and turn the volume down, it goes straight back to level 15.. exactly.   I’ve tried reinstalling the app, and resetting the speakers.. Within minutes it’s doing it again.  Is there a fix to this, or did I just lose $400 at Costco?  

I click on my app to open.... It switches to app, starts loading the app.... The app shows main menu and immediately closes out. EVERYTIME!!!! I have ZERO controls over a expensive system!!! Why is this taking so long to fix!? Should've been fixed immediately or within a week of first signs. Not sit and wait. WHAT IS BEING DONE???

I found a solution by getting a cheap universal remote and pairing it to the Sonos soundbar then adding the universal remote to the Apple TV.  the Apple TV then controls the sound. 

I’ve spent a total of about 5 hours on the phone with Sonos tech support with no good results.I’m installing a Sonos home theater for my customer in a room with dimensions of 36’ X 25’ X 18 ‘ ceiling and cement slab floor. Using Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and an Amp for existing hardwired surround sound speakers to be used with their TV.It seems that Sonos has decided that when the Amp is used for surround sound speakers only, that they are going to decided what proportion of the audio signal goes to the Arc and the surround sound speakers. That is  . . . . . there is no individual volume control for each of the surround sound speakers. Now I know there’s a “Level” audio control and a speaker distance control but there is no “individual” “volume” control.My issues is  . . . . my customer has paid almost a thousand dollars for a 125 watt per channel stereo amplifier, which when used to power two stand alone floor standing speakers, will knock your socks off, yet when used to power two small 5 inc

 I’ve spent several days trying to build a music library, and this message keeps popping up. “Algol” is the name of the server and “all” is the share. All checks out well on the host side. This message occurs 5-10-15 minutes into the Library refresh. I’ve been able to get most of the library built by starting with a small number of files in the share, refreshing the library, adding more, refresh, repeat. Having smaller updates seems to suit Sonos better. But now that the library has grown to 38,000 or so files, I can’t get any further. I suspect what is happening is that Sonos is timing out on reading the share folders and building its database. It interprets a timeout as the share going away -- unpowered, changed path, whatever, none of which is definitely not the case. I don’t have reason to suspect the environment. I am using a New phone and haven't used my speaker for a while.I have connected my Sonos One SL to my wifi again and the app says I have suceeded, but when I want to use it it doesn't exist anymore. I have updated the app, shut the power of andrestartet my router. Can anyone please help me, what can I do?

Hey,I just added 2 Era 300 speakers to my Soundbar Arc and Sub Gen 3. I connected them to WiFi and set them up as surround sound speakers for the entire system. The problem is that when I play music, a movie (anything), the speakers intermittently cut out. They play sound in a pulsating manner. The router is in the same room and the WiFi signal is very strong. Do you know what could be causing this?

HelloI recently purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300s. Everything works very well, but I'm noticing for the second time a problem with the bass on certain Dolby Atmos films. The sound starts skipping when the base level is too high, as if the system is unable to deliver it. It usually cuts out for half a second, but it can be much longer with choppy sound for several seconds. So I'm wondering if the problem comes from the bar or if it's something common when you don't have a subwoofer. I noticed the problem in the films Civil War and Sicario, especially with the helicopters.

Hi,I am planning to buy an additional Sonos Five to the one I currently have to make a stereo pair. I definitely want to put them on stands but the price of stands is putting me off (£240 for a pair of Sanus or £200 for a pair of Flexson).However, I've found this budget option and wonder if they would be any good. So I purchased a Sub Mini from the US military Exchange store in Germany in March 2024.  Yesterday the LEDs on my sub stopped working and I am not longer able to connect the sub to the app.I promptly connected Sonos support and asked for assistance.  After going through the typical “have you checked the power plug” I finally was offered the have the item replaced.  Oh, but wait, a few minutes later the agent said my sub mini was out of warranty.  I purchase the item 10 months ago and I have a 1 year warranty.Has anyone else had this problem?  Any suggestions on what I can do?  Should I get a lawyer? 

I (stupid me) made a factory reset on my two old Play3 speakers due to problems with the stereo-setup. I therefore is forced to update (I think) both units and app if I want to add the two Play3 units to the system again. Will the system after the firmware update of the system be able function with android App ver. 16.1?

When I try to play, the song just buffering. Nothing happens. Yes, I have tried to reauthorize. And reinstall the Apple Music. Dont work. 

Completely baffling there’s still no way to sort or organise Favorites, except for Recently Added. Most users will obviously add the most important services first, which therefore don’t show up on the home page over time. This is UX 101. Can someone please let us know if there’s any chance this is going to be changed?Please Allow us to manually edit and organise the list! 

Would anyone from Sonos be prepared to offer a new timeline for the restoration of the full playlist creation / editing /. Managing feature that has been absent since May 2024?We were promised Sept , then Oct , then December and there has been no sign of it.

I’ve had Sonos speakers for some years. For the first time ever, when I switched on the TV, the sound came out of the Playbar as usual but the TV sound also came out of my Play 5 in the bedroom. I’ve muted it for the time being.Any idea what’s happened? Thanks.

Every time I add new music to iTunes and then try to update my Library it vanishes - the path shows in my settings etc but all artists/albums vanish - and when I ‘update’ it takes about two seconds to update and nothing has changed.It was all working OK this morning - then added some new CDs to iTunes, and first it said the path was no longer available, which is rubbish - why would it have changed? I checked, and all sharing settings are as they were.I’m using an iMac BTW.

Hello,  My Sonos Connect has worked perfectly for quite some time. This week it changed completely. It disconnects all the time. Nothing in the setup has changed. Several times I've resetted it and moved it to different places.Everytime it starts again (after resetting it to factory settings) for a couple of minutes, than it disappears from my network. Since I've got it for my turntable, I can't hook it up physically to my router.I've spoken to the helpdesk on several occasions (I can hardly understand them due to the accents on their speech) and messaged on several occasions. I have called about my Sirius XM not being able to play on my Sonos sound bar. I have a Android phone and the app is loaded but the music stations are grayed out. They said this is a known issue, but they don't seem to be doing anything to fix it. They recommended that I try with an Apple device. Has anyone been able to get content from Sirius using an Android? This is nonsense and disappointing that they are not able to resolve this. What a POS!

The New Sonos iOS app is absolutely terrible. If you haven’t upgraded yet please please don’t. There are so many missing features and bugs to boot. It looks like an pre-Alpha version of software rushed to market without being properly tested or checked.PLEASE PLEASE  PLEASE Sonos bring back the S2 app for download on the App Store. If I could downgrade I would do it in a heartbeat. I’m a long time user and fan of Sonos products but frankly this is a big miss a disaster. This new app is almost unusable. This is Sonos’s Windows Vista moment. Please listen to your users Sonos, negative feedback is everywhere now. Please give us back the S2 app whilst this one goes back to the drawing board or perhaps the trash can.  

Lots of complaining on this forum that SONOS gives zero s***s about of course. The fact is SONOS ripped us off.And it's frustrating to be ripped off.I will be never give SONOS another dollar. That's my only revenge. Hello, Is it possible to play music from a USB key with Sonos Era 300 and Move? I have the Lin in adapter... I tried, I see the little lines that move but no sound and I don't see the pieces of the key.... sorry for the English, I had it translated with Google ;-) thanks

I recently bought 2 stands for my Sonos One speakers. In order to put the speakers on, I had to unplug them. I rebooted them and they show up in the app. I did the sound test where you move your arm in circles etc to tune it. At the top of System settings it says estimated time 1 minute to tune the speakers with True Play but the time never disappears. I’m using them with a Beam. Any suggestions on next steps in problem solving?
