For the last two weeks or so, my audio has been stuttering when I play podcasts from my phone. It does not stutter when I play music, and it does not stutter when I am watching TV and using the Arc for audio. Sonos support seems to think I have a high amount ot wireless interference. I do not have smart devices other than my TV and I have not added anything new. I've tried all the different WiFi channels with no change. Could this really be the issue if it's not stuttering all the time? What else do you think I could try? I've tried a couple different services and it stutters across both of them.
It’s also possible it’s the source podcast itself. Have you tried playing it locally, on your various devices? How are you playing it on your Arc? Are you ‘sending’ it using an external app, or are you playing it from a service ‘inside’ of the Sonos app?
Unfortunately, your local WiFi is not only affected by your internal home’s wifi interference , there is a lot of external (mostly out of your control) interference as well. My own issue turned out to be a new neighbor’s router stomping on the signal my system was on. Not saying that’s your issue, but just a cautionary confirmation that WiFi interference can be external, as well as internal.
Could very well be a neighbor. I have tried playing them both from within the app and from the external app, as well as just from my phone's speaker. It really just seems to be an issue with Sonos. I'll do some detective work and keep trying different things. I guess I just assumed that if it was truly a WiFi issue that ALL my audio would stutter and not just podcasts. Thanks for your reply!
