Let’s cut to the chase. I paid a LOT of money on several SONOS products. When it works its great! BUT THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!I know no other company of hi-end product that periodically issues updates that F something up - seriously.SONOS…. GET your act together. This is NOT good. In fact it highlights the fact that something is really WRONG with your update procedures and/or testing.I, like many others, use the library every day on a secondary HDD in my computer. Now, suddenly, it’s all gone. How incredibly frustrating this is. It’s not the fact that this is so bad (which it is...) but that this isn’t the first time a major screw-up has happened, and the worst is the WAIT until you decide to get your techs off their assess and issue a FIX - real quick! No, I’m not being overly harsh,…. I’m just a customer who wants some decent stability and QUICK resolutions when something goes bad…. is THAT too much to ask???
Why does the Sonos app keep getting worse? I constantly have to factory reset speakers and the user experience is horrible. Other family members have given up and started buying their own Bluetooth speakers because the system is undependable. The updates are making thousands of dollars of speakers worthless.
I would tend to agree with what I’m reading about the last update. It’s terrible and has led me to search for other options for music in my home. The fact you haven’t done anything to take corrective action or roll it back to the previous application tells me that you’re not listening to your paying customers. Music lovers are not happy with you, please address and respond to this ongoing issue. Brad
Why is it that theres I dependent third-party app the let you cast any web content to your SONOS SYSTEM, while SONOS has shamelessly feeld at providing this for years now. Further more SONOS I'm looking into starting a class action lawsuit in Québec. Removing the option of streaming library from my devices after I bought your speakers, and forcing me to use one of the preselected third-party streaming app chosen by you, these said apps in return charges us to stream there service to allow to stream on on speakers youve already spent a fortune on. I honestly think that I have solid ground here to start said class action lawsuit. Oh add the insult that it's been moths now the youve screwed up you're own app and you won't have it fixed till September 2023. Honestly whats next. Yes you have great sound but this os no longer enough Sonos is simply not worth the cost anymore and it do to your own making with all the restriction. And all that is do to SONOS PRIDE, what the reason we can'
The App does not work and for the last 14 weeks (by my reckoning) my music playback has been almost impossible to use.Given that Sonos seem unable to fix the app,or even offer the old app to use should they buy my compoents back?In talking to a solicitor friend he believes. I would have a strong case. I am just so frustrated with the whole scenario of sonething not connecting,or not found or no network or unable to connect..I cannot believe that Sonos have gone from supirb to *.*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
I made the mistake of not copying a post, which then flashed with the red bar of moderation when submitting.I understand the need for anti-spam, unsuitable content protection and it is never 100% accurate, but as an active user is there feedback, via pm or something if it gets rejected or black-holed?I really don’t feel like typing it all out again.Sightly tangential the my replies list is missing posts I’ve made which are visible in forum topics.
how do I change ,my forum user name? do I need help from Sonos to do that?

I am in the process of selling my house and the old sonos system will stay with the house. I have applied for upgrade credits on all devices, but not sure exactly what I will need to buy for the new house yet. Will my upgrade credits be retained in my account after transferring ownership of the legacy devices to the new owner, or do I need to use them before I transfer ownership?
Why does Sonos app always ask for Bluetooth to be enabled? Every single time! Can’t turn it off… When you open it. It’s always asking the same thing, which I say no to.He doesn’t need Bluetooth function. There should be an option to turn this off.He doesn’t need Bluetooth function. There should be an option to turn this off. Was the app is good and the service great, 70% of the time, the 30% of the time that it’s not good or doesn’t work means I could not recommend it. Sonos performance + user experience: just keeps getting worse
I know we have been talking about a poorly engineered app, but aren’t you facing basic connection issues? Each day I have to go up and down 3 floors to reboot Verizon router, then WiFi router and then rebooting the speakers.i have stopped listening to Sonos to save my knees. Am now thinking of switching out. It’s been too long.
Ok, it’s not the worst hold music I’ve ever suffered, but it’s a really short loop on the UK Sonos Support line, which becomes less than great after listening to it for over 30 minutes. You’re a music streaming company, with people who deal with performing rights licenses, you could do much better! Maybe hook your phone system up to Sonos Radio? It’s possible to get a license at a reasonable cost for phone system hold music, one of the offices I worked in had a 10 hour long low bit rate CD of indie rock. Customers frequently gave positive feedback for it, some even complained that we took them off hold in the middle of a good song! It would be a much better look for the company than the current 30-60s jingle on an endless loop, given the nature of your products.
I am not able to find the usage data in sonos.com any longer, and I know it was there previously for review. Where is that hidden now, since I’ve clicked into everything and can’t seem to find it? Thanks!
The new app has become unusable. Every time the app is opened it does takes around 2minutes to show any of my speakers (3 rooms). Changing rooms music is playing is jumpy and usually skips or restarts the song currently on. The alarm features have been removed without the ability to modify currently set alarms.I have downgraded back to the old version to make the app usable, and even after disabling auto-update, the app reverts to the newest version overnight making it once again unusable. If I go off the app for a beer couple minutes, and return to it to modify the sont or volume, it does not register any music currently being played making it impossible to change song or volume without having to manually go and use the buttons on the speaker. The link to Spotify has become unusable, on the old app all 3 of my speakers would show as playable direct from Spotify, since the update there seems to be no direct link at all. Widgets (the only way I used to use the app) have been removed mea
I very VERY rarely feel the need to post negative reviews for products…it’s just usually not my vibe. However, I am so utterly confused as to how a company such as Sonos could even remotely allow and approve release of this catastrophe of an app. I mean just HOW? I would imagine that any app overhauls should go through extensive testing over at LEAST several weeks before being released. Obviously not this one lol. It’s been almost 3 months now and it’s still virtually unusable to me. Even simply using it to control my TV volume is laughably ridiculous. I can’t have both my Playbase and Kitchen speaker playing at the same time anymore, and in order for me to adjust volume on my Playbase, I first have to physically change the volume using my Roku controller FIRST …then go back to the god awful volume slider on in the app. I also dare not tap on the “apply” button after selecting speakers as that still turns EVERYTHING off and I have to start everything all over again. The company is very
My music library is no longer accessible since the installation of the new version (error 913) when will the correction be made?!!I understand that it could have bugs after a new version but I am waiting for the corrections....Sonos equipment is high-end, when will we see high-end service?Thank you for your response and solutions
I’ve had it. Too many times I’ve had people over and Sonos new app doesn’t work. Even though I have tens of thousands worth their gear, I’m ripping it out. Any suggestions on a replacement?
Now that I can’t access my playlist, what’s use is Sonos, it tools me 12 years to refine my playlist which I used to use almost every day.its another 2 months before Sonos can fix this issue so what do you suggest I do? Am actually think of selling all my equipment and just using my used speakers and vintage sound system, which never let me down.
With the disastrous roll out of latest Sonos controller app, I began to wonder why would they force an upgrade that was so dysfunctional and lacking so many features that customers liked. Also it seemed strange that users were no longer able to see and modify music folders, or playlists, or update the music library. At first, I thought, wow they really screwed this up. How could they leave all this out? Why are they so reluctant to offer a roll back to a working version? When I read Sonos executive’s Maxime Bouvat-Merlin’s phoney response and explanation, that’s when I realized, it was on purpose. Then I thought, what is the long term agenda of Sonos? What is the long term agenda of any greedy corporation? To maximize revenue and profits, of course. I then realized that Sonos is about to follow the plan of Apple management, which was to slowly and not so subtly force people off of iTunes and onto their Apple Music subscription service. That’s where the long term money is. I mean, why s
Dear Sonos Support Team,I am writing to formally lodge a warranty claim concerning my Sonos product. Despite following all recommended usage instructions, the device has developed faults that I believe fall under the protections provided by the Australian Consumer Law, specifically sections 54 and 55.Product Details:Model: SONOS ROAM Purchase Date:28/6/2023 Place of Purchase: Jbhifi Issue Description: The product is experiencing being unable to recharge via USB Cable. It is now August 2024. The app is still not working. How can a massive company like Sonos get this so wrong and take so long to fix it. Literally everyone I know hats Sonos now and wants to get rid of their equipment. Sonos. WHEN WILL THIS SHAMBLES BE SORTED????
Definitely getting rid of this * but can't even sell it now. Maybe I'll give it to someone who has nothing.*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
The Sonos app, again, is not working on my I phone. I am considering selling off/dumping my Sonos system and converting to the Apple HomePod (which has been very reliable) for my wireless speakers. Has anyone done this? Are there any downsides, other than the loss I will take getting rid of Sonos?
Die neue Sonos App ist eine Katastrophe und Zumutung. Ich kann nicht mehr auf meine Quellen zugreifen. Das Update hat ohne Kommentar von Sonos stattgefunden
