Today I installed (my Move, Playbar, Sub and 2x One) from S2 back to S1 and removed the new app from Sonos.After months of all kinds of problems with the new app, the sound and playing and not playing, the system is completely great again.no more problems and everything is usable again. even the sound is better
The exact reason why the last version of the S2 app should be offered as an alternative to the new app whilst the new app is properly sorted out.
Nice that this is an option and that it works, but with terrible implications: by doing this, they acknowledge and accept that they may have lost you forever as a customer who would buy anything in the future, since your system is stuck in the past.
I've stayed on S1 (with and S2 capable system) and watched over the years all the hassle people have gone through while ours just works.
Then th ARC came along and I was seriously thinking of upgrading our Playbar 5:1 system until an update ruined that for most people.
Even the headphones (if they were a proper Zone Player, not the half cooked attempt that has materialised) would not tempt me to upgrade.
I feel sorr for all those suffering with an APP they cannot roll back and ££££ worth of unusable kit. A real shame.
