I have an Apple TV 4K (latest), connected to a Beam Gen2 and Sub Mini, and a very old Panasonic HD TV.The TV lacks ARC so I use an HDFury Arcana 4K. Apple TV to Arcana, which splits to the Beam and the TV.When I added the Arcana I found that the CEC volume control on the Apple TV now worked, and controlled the Beam. Great.Until this morning.First, the Sub Mini decided to disconnect itself. Reconnecting that meant essentially resetting the entire system, eventually a factory reset and starting again on both the Beam and the Sub.During that process the CEC connection to Apple TV was lost. No amount of resetting / rebooting has got it back. I’ve completely reset the Apple TV, unplugged/plugged, reset the Arcana. No joy.Any help would be much appreciated.
I have had a Sonos setup for many years now and have regularly had an issue with audio dropouts for my Play 5 (labelled ‘Downstairs’), which is the only speaker located on the lower floor - separated by a concrete slab from the upper floor. I have a boost in the ceiling space that is connected via ethernet cable to the modem. The upstairs speakers (three Play 1’s) all work without ever missing a beat! To try and resolve the dropouts with the Play 5 downstairs, I recently had an electrician run a cable down to the lower level and that connects to an old Bridge I had used previously (via a switch that is only used for Sonos devices). It then SHOULD be connecting wirelessly to the Play 5 over less than 10 metres distance and with line of sight. Despite this the Play 5 still is occasionally dropping out. Here is what the network matrix is showing:Any direction on what the issue might be and what to do would be greatly appreciated :)
I have +/- 1300 songs in my Liked songs in Spotify. When I attempt to add all these songs to my queue, Sonos encounters an error and fails to add them (unable to add tracks to queue).Adding smaller playlists to the queue is usually not a problem (even though it’s quite slow in general.Any idea what might be causing this issue? I have tried resetting my router, resetting my Boost, reinstalling the Sonos app… But didn’t find a solution so far.I have a diagnostics number: 335172069
everytime my Bell router updates itself my Sonos speakers lose their connection and it becomes another frickin’ 30 minute drama.wired speakers work. I love some things about these speakers but when they lose their connection, I don’t know how my wife is ever going to live without me.Better off with an amp and some wired speakers.
I can’t tell when I’m searching for artist if I’m searching in Spotify or something else. Many of my searches come up with nothing
Feature Request: different surround levels for spatial audio vs stereo When listening to atmos content via Apple Music, I feel the need to turn up the surround music slider. It is then too loud on the surrounds when a traditional stereo track comes on. I have the surrounds set to full. I’d like there to be separate volume sliders for Spatial Audio surrounds and stereo audio surrounds, just like tv vs music, but a subcategory within music.
What do i have to do to get power to my sonos ray soundbar initial setup. I have everything connected i dont have an ethernet cable hooked to my tv. Would this cause a problem with powering on. I dont see any sort of power switch on soundbar
I was wondering if anyone had direct experience with these two set ups. My room is 12 x 20 with cathedral ceilings. The era 100 sub mini set up is currently running in this room and sounds very good. I do wonder if a pair of fives would be an even better set up. Has anyone done this comparison?
Hi, i just bought Sonos Arm and i have a sound trouble. My Sub Gen 1 seam like not working at 100%. Also, I cannot conect my two Sonos SL. My Apps didn’t find them. Can you help me? Thanks
Hello , I have read previous threads that if you are mounting era 300 speakers with the bracket you need to invert it to fully optimise the driver functionality. So can someone please advise what best practice is with the bracket ? If I invert the bracket with the flat plate part over the top of the speaker the speaker falls out of the bracket as it’s almost like a skeleton keyhole . Do people do anything in particular to the bracket when they invert the speaker
I'm surprised by the use of a subpar battery in Sonos products, and it's disappointing that they haven't initiated a product recall or offered battery replacements. This experience has eroded my trust in Sonos, and I'm uncertain about relying on them in the future. Additionally, I expected more assistance from customer service. Long story short, if you are facing battery issues with ROAM, that is expected and you just need to live with it. Sonos will not do anything
My 2008 speaker worked fine until I bought a Sonos 100 and changed the location of the old speaker. I want new speaker in LR because sound is better. I can’t get the 2008 speaker to connect. When plugged in I get a. White light. When I hit two buttons together i get a flashing yellow light up set up tells me it can’t connect. Any suggestions?
I spent quite some quite creating a large holiday music playlist a few years ago (probably before the switch from SONOS 1 to SONOS 2? not sure...); that list still appears - and I can ‘see’ all names / tracks that are part of the list. However, when trying to play the tracks, I get the above message ‘the associated account was not found on your system’ !?So - not sure what’s going on here.1 - I have never created / used more than ONE SONOS account (so the message, at face value, does not make any logical sense? - The playlist CAN ONLY BE ASSOCIATED with the same account I am using now - and:2 - again, I really don’t know enough about the technical background here - but - if I can ‘see’ each and everyone of these tracks, albeit with a funny struck through circle in front of it, then I assume that the associated info (i.e. source of the track / album etc.), so the coordinates for SONOS to find the track, are still there. Isn’t that what makes up a playlist? I mean - the playlist itself
Hi Sonos, i have spent a fruitless few hours trying to get my system not work. Despite little hiccups with previous app updates I have generally been able to get it working. Now however, I am just sooooo annoyed and frustrated by trying to connect my well placed existing system. All the trouble shooting suggestions require massive disruptions to the WiFi in my house or unplugging each device and starting them individually, only to find they connect for a millisecond and then disappear and say the product was not found. I have sent diagnostic reports, but all it will say is nothing is found. i had a great system and well connected to my WiFi, only to have an obsolete system working perfectly for a number of years. Now I am just deflated and disappointed as I contemplate buying a new system I can afford! Thanks for not showing any loyalty to your customers or systems.
Is there any plan to include my personal library in the new search? I have a large library, including music not on streaming services. I bought Sonos specifically because it can manage music on my NAS in the old search. I’d like to see that feature supported in future software versions.
I am completing a renovation and have a large open space living room Kitchen and Dining.I bought the ARC, Sub Gen 3, the Move (to be portable for the outdoor area), the amp and 2 in ceiling speakers. Because construction took a long time, the ERA 300s are now out, I was wondering whether it would be worth adding them to my set up given I have the in ceiling speakers. The ceiling height is 3M. The in-ceiling speakers haven’t been installed yet, so I could return the AMP and in-ceiling speakers and get two ERA 300s as an alternative too. Everything will be installed next week so now I’m worried I’ve chose the wrong set up!Any help or ideas? Thanks!!!
Help please. Sonos 1 updated app has dropped off my sub & play 3 speaker and is asking to turn on bluetooth??
Can’t hear voices from tv in my surround speakers
I’ve recently bought a Ray, a Gen 3 Sub, 2 x Eras 100 (configured as stereo pair) and a Five.Half the time I listen to music and the other half I watch TV. When watching TV, most of the time, I will use just the Ray and Sub. The other speakers are positioned for music. If I put a film on I may temporarily move the Eras and use them for rear surround sound.Currently, I have the sub paired with the Ray so that it works, whether I’m watching TV or listening to music. It was paired with the Five, but whenever I watch TV, I had to re-pair it to the Ray.Does it matter which speaker I pair the Sub with? What is best to get optimum sound quality? Also, if I did want to use the Eras for rear surrounds, would I do this, but going into the config screen for the Ray and adding them as paired device there? Thanks in advance!
I have a ARC, sub gen 3, and two Era 100’s for my surround setup. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommended settings and levels for the speakers. Also, my two Era 100’s are behind my couch and not high enough to be over the top. Is this a concern or no? Thanks.
Hi Sonos Community we have a great room setup - kitchen on one side that faces the TV in living room.i have new Arc soundbar and sub (gen 3) hooked up to the TV. all works well. bought 2 ERA 100 speakers last week to place in kitchen to fill in the sound when watching TV or cooking in the kitchen.first setup i did was add the ERA 100s to the “Living Room/TV” with the Arc and Sub configuration under “System”. the app defaulted to “surround” speaker setup for the ERA 100s. it connected fine but being surround sound setup it only played music or sounds effects from the TV??….no voices or people talking. not the setup i wanted.so i removed the ERA 100s from the “Living Room/TV” config and created a new config called “Kitchen”. ERA speakers work fine and i can add them to the “Living Room/TV” config so they play the TV sound including voices or play music on them while TV on.my questions:~ when i turn on the TV the Arc and Sub play sound from the TV however the ERA 100s in kitchen do no
Dear Folks, I am using 2 Roams as a stereo pair right now.Can an Era 300 be paired with them, for use all in the same room ? If so what aesthetic benefit might there be ? ( application is not HT , just living room listening ) Thanks, Garrett
Have been running seven Sonos zones using older hardware and S1 controller on iPhone and iMac with no problems. Upgraded to MacBook Pro macOS Ventura. Mac-version S1 controller hangs and won’t boot. PC-version S1 Controller (running under Windows 11 on Parallels) boots, but won’t recognize any Sonos devices. Might be incompatible port configuration. Very frustrating. Any ideas?
The roam is my first Sonos product, a present by my kids, received two weeks ago. I have seen all the reports on playback stutter posted in the forum and elsewhere. I have that issue constantly, usually the second time i turn on the roam on any given day. I got the speaker for its airplay function and it because it does not have run on AC, not for bluetooth. I also have two HomePod minis in my house. While they only run on AC they have performed flawlessly in Airplay. All my iDevices are Airplay 2 compatible. I see no solutions to this Roam problem in the replies posted by sonos, other than „send a diagnostic“. But i see no synthesis of the diagnostics data obtained by sonos that tells forum posters whose speakers airplay-stutter what to do to solve the problem. As a result, I decided to that I will return my Roam and will ask my kids to get me a different brand speaker. It is disappointing because i do like the sound of the roam (the few times airplay actually worked) better than that
