Controllers and Music services

My music library is on a USB flash drive plugged into my TP-Link router. Speaker system comprises two pairs of Ones and one pair of Era 300s. I cannot play anything from the music library on just the Eras. Music library plays fine on both of the One pairs. I can get the Eras to play from the library only if I’m already listening on the Ones and then group in the Eras. All external streaming services and Airplay from my phone work absolutely fine on the Eras & they sound perfect. When I try to play direct from the music library to the Eras, the Sonos app says “Content is unavailable”. I’ve done a factory reset on the Eras and this hasn’t helped. I’m hoping you can though!

In my restaurant we have Sonos Era 100 speakers set up. We pay for premium Pandora and somehow still get ads after every couple songs. Its extremely irritating. How can I fix this? We have reinstalled Pandora multiple times and reconnected it to the premium account. No idea what to do next. 

My app keeps requesting me to sign in as the owner of my equipment. I sign-in and it keeps saying I need to sign in however, if I click the face at the top right it states I’m signed in. App issue or… driving me crazy!! 

I know that the new/current Nov 2024 Sonos app can’t be used to browse DNLA servers as a music source, but using other apps it is still possible to send files from a DNLA or UPnP server to play on my Sonos Beam Gen 2. I turned off the automatic app and firmware upgrades in May though. Does anyone know if more recent firmware keeps the option to play over UPnP to my Sonos speaker? I’d be tempted to try the new version of the Sonos app+firmware if I knew that I wouldn’t loose the UPnP playback direct to the speaker.

Could not get Samba music library to work even though my file manager and several music apps were fine. The solution for me was to add the following line to the smb.conf.[global]map to guest = bad user Just FYI, the following are all the lines I added to the default smb.conf.[global]netbios name = centennialmap to guest = bad user[music]comment = Public Music Share on centennialpath = /public/music/guest ok = yesguest only = yesread only = yes  

Dears, Following the launch of the new app I lost all access to my local NAS ( Synolgy) .from my android APP Sonos. Following several updates of the APP, I understand that this was fixed. However until today I still encounter a no access to my local library. I have followed the instruction given by Sonos. Changed the SMB min to 2/3 on my NAS Synology and reboot it. I am running the last version of the NAS OS. I have added my access and path to my NAS on my Sonos APP. ( ok, no issues), I have launch a library update/new scan ( ok, it run and give me the "completed" task message at the end of the scan. My lical music link does show on my Sonos app and I can selected ( arriving to the scran woth the various browsing section from artis name, album... until folder browsing) BUT when try to select any of the possible way to explore my library I have an "something went wrong"  error ( grey box, nu number, no info) and cannot go further.

I just want to put my review (app store) from the latest update here in as already so many of us feel the same way: first of all - i m a customer and fan since 2011 and i ve several setups in my home: 1x arc - 2x era 300 - 1x sub (3rd gen) - 1x beam (2nd gen) - 2x era 100 - 1x one (2nd gen). also i m a software dev and system admin for about 25y (large international corporation). yesterday I downloaded the new update and it s a total failure and complete disaster! it s so bad that i m willed to sell all my speakers if it s not corrected or will be rollbacked. the new design is neither intuitive nor performant (iPhone 14 pro) and also key features missing like editing an actual playlist/cue, sleep timer, alarm, etc. also my favorites don’t work anymore, can’t mute, can’t switch between tv and music, nas settings gone and are not available, some services had to been removed and new connected, etc.how is it possible that a big company like this „burn it down to the

Why is the app so slow, i better use spotify to listen

While I am encouraged that the IOS app continues to improve, there are still (at least) two missing features that are important to me. (1) Still don't have the alphabet shortcuts on the Music Library. I have a huge collection and attempting to scroll across ~2,000 artists is nearly impossible, (2) a track count in my music library so I know where I stand against the 65,000 limit (this feature used to exist). Does anyone know if/when these features are coming?

I have been using Sonos for nearly 15 years, but I've been having so much trouble recently that I'm considering switching brands. So, unless someone can give me the solution to Spotify on Android just not seeing my Sonos devices, can anyone recommend a different brand of speakers that will have a soundbar for my TV, do multiroom playback, and work seemlessly with Spotify? 

Can anyone explain how to shuffle all songs in my Apple Music library when using the new app?

I can usually just unpause my Play5 first generation and it would play the last station that I had playing but it no longer allows me. Any idea what might be going on snd how to resolve this? 

Hi All I am trying to set up the newest (1.5) Stream What You Hear app as a radio station in “Tune In” on the Sonos app.  I know it can work because I have it set up in another residence. However, the latest version of SWYH doesn't offer any of the operational settings described here, at least that I can locate: https://www.howtogeek.com/292842/how-to-stream-any-audio-from-your-pc-to-a-sonos-player/Does anyone know the correct streaming URL for the latest version of SWYH to create a new radio station on “Tune In?"? Does anyone have an updated source of setup instructions for SWYH 1.5?  The web site itself is of no use. So my problem is that everytime I choose a playlist, I can not see the list of songs within it and queue says “not in use”. Any way to fix that?

I got a new iPhone, same iPhone 14 and cannot get my Sonos components back on line. Deleted Sonos app, reset Sonos app, reset my amps to factory settings and still cannot connect. Any help is appreciated. 

I use my Sonos speakers 100% for listening to music, primarily through my music library on a stored NAS.  My experience has more or less come back to baseline from the new app rollout.  One thing that’s still missing that I found to be quite a helpful feature was the vertical side alphabet of the music library so I could quickly tap on a letter and immediately jump to that part of my library.  I know you can search specifically within the music library now but am still longing for the side scroll.  Any idea when (or if) that might be coming back?

As many of you may be aware following the launch of the new Sonos app some radio stations from outside the UK on the MyTuner radio platform won’t play using the app although it is possible to play these stations using Amazon Alexa, however when using this method the artist & track info is not displayed which is annoying.I have been trying to get some clarity on this issue from Sonos for several months and have sent Sonos support numerous emails to that end. Today after many failed and fruitless emails a support agent finally telephoned me and clarified the issue. Most of the radio stations that interest me are from the USA, in particular a station named Smooth Jazz Florida, according to to the support agent since the Brexit agreement was implemented the licensing arrangements do not allow access to these stations, the actual effect of this did not manifest itself until the new app was launched.Like many Sonos users I’m sure I expressed my annoyance and frustration

Suddenly the sonos app on my iPhone says “Not Connected, No products found” But I can still find all the sonos speakers on the Spotify app and play music. So the speakers are connected to the network and they are working. The problem therefore is with the app. Is there a bugfix on the way?  

Just upgraded to the new App and it seems they have not allowed the Sonos Boost to connect to it.  Spoken to Support and after an hour it seems that the developers have yet to allow the Boost to connect so they will need to update it.  I can connect via WiFi but if you have a Boost in your system it does not recognise.  Unless anyone knows a work round or support tells you they have fixed it.

Hi all, I have recently upgraded my home Wi-Fi setup to a Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro mesh setup.  I had some issues with my Sonos speakers being recognised in the iPhone app but that seems to have been resolved by setting static IPs for the speakers.However I have gone to check the Windows app running on my music server and it now cannot see the Sonos products (‘Your Sonos product was not found’ message when selecting ‘Connect to existing system’ on setup).  I have reinstalled the latest version of the Windows app, and have checked that the relevant firewall exceptions have been made as per the instructions on the Sonos website (they had already been made - as the windows app did used to work).I don’t know if this is as a result of the recent Wi-Fi changes as I had not used local media service or checked the window app in some time, but it definitely doesn’t work now.  I have rebooted the network etc. multiple times and no changes.Does anyone know what else I can do

Hello - I have been replacing a few of my old worn out vinyl albums with digital copies from YouTube.  Track numbers are added to individual tracks but when I add them to the queue they appear in alphabetical order.  Any ideas what's going on please?  Ian.

Having bought our first Sonos products in 2006 I am truly disappointed in how the products and customer service of this company has declined. I recently purchased 3 amps to configure 3 separate zones in our new home. The system worked fine until last month when music from our Music Library would randomly stop playing or skipping songs after 10 seconds. When I tap stop the music stops and then restarts on it own after a few seconds. I tried calling the help desk but hung up 20 minutes after what was described as a 10 minute line. The help BOT suggested moving the amps closer to the router. They could not be any closer. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hello,My Sonos speakers and speaker groups won’t load on my Sonos App.  I’ve been had this issue before. I use the new app and I have all IOS devices that are all up to date on the 18.1.   My newer speakers will play music through the Bluetooth option via Spotify and Apple Music. I have tried rebooting all of the speakers by unplugging them and also rebooting the router.  I turned the router back on after 10 mins and then I plugged in all of the speakers.  none of them connected to the app.  what is going on??  help

S2 on iPad Pro and LG thinq works fine but not on my pixel 6a. “Sign in to see your system….” is always present, even after signing in and I cannot make any changes to my system. I rang customer service, who were very patient but were unable to resolve the issue, suggested I contact Google. The old app worked fine on my pixel phone, so something has changed. cheers 

I see that in the Add Services dialog, TuneIn is listed as “no longer supported” (on mobile, Desktop doesn’t include the summary text). We are supposed to use “TuneIn (New)”, which requires a TuneIn account to work.Looks like this means we cannot add custom URLs any more once TuneIn (classic?) is removed?Support, can we get an official statement on this please?
