Controllers and Music services

I see alot of people complaining about this in the new app, but I NEVER see it on a list of things that will be fixed.   Come on this is really anoying. Why is this not being addressed.

New to the community.   I won't spend my time endlessly reading through these blogs as my issues are current and hoping that someone/anyone can assist with my frustration with the S2 App.   I have an android.....Samsung S21.   I have Sonos equipment in every area of my house.   I constantly cannot "connect" to the system.  Even if connected, I many times cannot "pause" or "change volume".   Absolutely frustrated trying to make it work and it is a big waste of time.   I have uninstalled, reinstalled, sent diagnostics and had multiple calls with Sonos Support and all I get is "improvements have been made", but they don't help in my case.  I also have a separate structure on my property with older Sonos equipment running on S1 app and it NEVER fails to respond.   Considering downgrading to S1 for the house, but I have a Sonos Roam which cannot run on S1.  Who can help?

This is ridiculous. Huge fan and have extensive sonos systems. New app has crashed everything and now won’t connect at all. Must admit this is fast becoming a game changer. Fix it Sonos

how do I check that the osx firewall isn’t on?

We currently use sonos at our two store locations. Each store location has their own unique spotify account. When we play from spotify at one store, the spotify will stop playing at the other store. Not sure why this is happening if it’s technically two spotify accounts? Does anyone have any similar experiences and were you able to solve them?

Hello! I’d like to submit a feature request that the search functionality for Apple Music in the Sonos app be improved.  Here’s the problem: Using the web app you’d like to listen to the album Exile on Main Street by The Rolling Stones. You open the app and search “Exile on Main Street” The first nine results are not the album Exile on Main Street, but instead a link to The Rolling Stones artist page, radio stations created by individual songs on the album, some other unrelated artist pages, and some individual songs.  When you click “View More” to try to find the album in full to play, the album is the very first result! This same process is very similar to the iOS app, unusable results at first, then when you click “Apple Music” the album is displayed first.  Cutting out that two step process to find an album would be a massive user improvement. Not sure if the same problem exists for Spotify, etc. 

Say it isn’t so! Six months and 20 releases after the Day the Music Died and still no music library album art on my Android app.   

I’m really struggling with the Sonos app, I literally cannot do anything.  1. If I play music from Spotify and go to the Sonos app, it shows ‘No Content’ like nothing is playing.  I cannot play anything via the Sonos app.I can’t change any EQ or sub settings because it makes no difference and as soon as the app closes it resets to 0 for everything.I’ve disconnected my VPN, I’ve rebooted my device, I’ve reset the app, I’ve deleted and redownlaoded the app. I’ve done a power down of the whole house for 1min! Still nothing works via the app!my device is a 15 pro and my devices are ERA 100 (x2), Gen 1 Beam, Sub Mini, PLAY:1, SYMFONISK (x2) and ROAM (x2).I thought this was supposed to be a premium brand ?  

Just bought the full works ARC Ultra 2xEra 300 and sub4 tried no matter what I have tried the speakers will not connect with the App, it goes through the pairing bit with chimes and inputting of wifi passwords but then nothing appears on the app, tried rebooting the products and router but still nothing. reinstalled the app reset speakers to factory still nothing.The wifi hub is a Vodafone Power hub which is only a few weeks old and TV is a modern LG OledReally frustrating  I am an experienced Sonos user but never had this issue before Any ideas?  

I can’t get in touch with the customer support because I end up in a waiting line for over 50 minutes. A lot of problems since a while with my whole sonos system:Spotify shows it plays the song although the speaker doesn’t make a sound. if i play rewind it sometimes works;I choose song A in playlist A and then sonos decides to delay and play song B or C in playlist A for some random reason. If i try to replay the song that sometimes fixes the problem;If i choose a youtube video and connect my beam to my sonos play 5 to play it together, one of the speakers just decides to pauze the music for 0,5 second every 20 secondes which is freaking annoying.  I don’t like my sonos system at all anymore… I live in a small apartment, everything is extremely close to the router, no extenders. Everyone else who wants to connect has the same issues as me. So my phone is not the problem. I’ve never had issues until the last 3 months now.

After being forced to use the new app (android), at some point there has been a change which is causing all podcast and episode broadcast dates to show as 1 Jan 1000000000. Is this an issue on the side of Sonos or the BBC?Is there a fix known for this? Any help would be useful as its really frustrating not knowing which episodes I have listened to or not without playing through the last few to find out where I am!

Is there a way to determine if you’ve hit the metadata limit?  I am only at 35K songs but do have a fair number of classical music which apparently has a lot of metadata.  Is there a way to only update certain songs/playlists/genres so I skip the classical?

HiI’m still very, very, very mad at SONOS for the ******** they are putting us customers through with the new app and the way they communicate. I wish they’d roll back to the old app. But I know nobody at SONOS cares.Anyway. My Music Library (on my MacBookAir with OS X) works on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.Same at my mom’s house. She has her Music Library on a NAS (WD My Cloud, set to SMBv2). The music library works on her Mac Mini on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.Is it just us or hasn’t SONOS fixed Music Library for iPhone iOS yet?Anything I could try to make it appear?I already wasted hours (thanks SONOS!) trying different things. But nothing worked. Systems are all up-to-date. 

I own a number of Play One and Play Three devices, plus one Era 100 that I bought specifically to add Apple airplay functionality to the system. Until quite recently, whenever I had all my devices grouped together in the Sonos app, I would be able to go to Spotify, select the Era 100 device as a target for AirPlay, and music would play on all devices simultaneously.  Now, however, whenever I do the same through Spotify, only the Era 100 device plays, it gets kicked off the group, and the other devices remain silent. if I go to group the devices together in the Sonos app, nothing happens.this is a serious problem for me, especially considering that I bought the extra era 100 device specifically to be able to use airplay on the system. I’m not interested in using the Sonos app to control my music, and I am not interested in using the open play directly to Sonos’s group” functionality on Spotify due to reliability issues.

Curious what this loudness setting does? 

WHen I update my music library (which is mainly held in Itunes - copies of CDs, playlists etc), the Sonos desktiop app now creates duplicate ‘playlists’ - although each new version is not necessarily the same as the original or even (in some cases) even remotely similar. I tried updating a couple of times before I clicked that each time I updated the library another random duplicate-which-isn’t-a-duplicate would appear, so my music library is now a disaaster area and even less use than it has been since the May Outrage.I see that somebody raised a version of this query three monthsm ago and got a ‘best answer’ from SOnos of (1) we know it’s a problem from 16.3, and (2) we don’t know when we’ll get around to fixing it.I’ve pretty much stopped using Sonos at the moment, so I haven’t been following the update management. Is there anybody still  there and are we still expecting our systems to  work again as they once did?  Is there a work-around useable by anyone other tha

In my restaurant we have Sonos Era 100 speakers set up. We pay for premium Pandora and somehow still get ads after every couple songs. Its extremely irritating. How can I fix this? We have reinstalled Pandora multiple times and reconnected it to the premium account. No idea what to do next. 

I’m really frustrated with the ongoing issues with playlists on Sonos. They started "working" for a brief period, but now it’s back to constant problems.Sometimes the playlists just don’t appear in the app at all. Other times, only two playlists show up, and the rest are completely missing. I can’t even add any new music to my playlists, which is beyond annoying.To make things worse, the playlists seem to be fine on the Windows app, so it’s clearly an issue with the mobile app.I’ve had to deal with so many bugs and glitches over the past few months, and it’s getting really frustrating. Is there any chance this will be fixed properly, or are we stuck with this unreliable service?Anyone else having these problems? It would be good to know if Sonos is even working on a solution, or if we’re just left hanging.Thanks in advance for any help or updates!

Some days I can't access my music library.  It's on a Synology 8 bay storage array. Other days I can't access one or both of my connects.  Then I'll try to use my play 5 and it doesn't show up.  Today I can't control the volume or eq of either one of my connects. Yet othe times the whole system is working flawlessly.  Using version s2 80.12.02.  Since the new app came out there's been nothing but problems. Lots of folks here are also complaining about the same and other issues.  Can we go back until you guys figure it out or is there a fix coming soon?  I'm really ready to build a system using another product. 

Anyone know how to remedy the “No Products Found” and/or “There are no connected products” messages?  They show up for a few seconds and then clear out.  But after my phone goes to sleep they show up again when I access the app.  There’ no interruption in music but it’s annoying.  The app just isn’t stable.Thanks  

Hi, I’m in the UK and have recently joined Apple Music. I’ve tried to add it as a service to my Sonos app but comes up ‘no results for Apple Music’ any ideas? 

I have a network where there is a wireless router in my house, and then a backyard office on the same network, hard wired between the house and office, and then a wireless access point in the office. a number of weeks ago my Sonos system stopped detecting my Sonos system in the entire house and office when in my living room. At the same time, when in the office I could see the whole sypstem except my Living Room (Beam Gen 1, One SL’s, Sub Gen 2).  There have been no changes in my router settings and I do have the latest version of the app.I tried re-adding my Living Room, but soft reboots weren’t doing anything. I tried connecting my Beam via Ethernet, and that  didn’t do anything.i tried a hard reboot with my beam and it was added, but it still could not detect any other devices or rooms, even when trying to add other devices in my living room. I then went to the backyard office and I could see the entire system except the Living Room Beam I j

Problems running Sonos for Android for almost a year. Need to logout/login, reboot etc. to get it working. Now it has stopped executing orders like play, choose music etc.Am I the only one???? Most unsatisfiing - thinking of droping Sonos. How can Sonos spend almost a year fixing a problen after the update early spring this year???
