Hi

I’m still very, very, very mad at SONOS for the ******** they are putting us customers through with the new app and the way they communicate. I wish they’d roll back to the old app. But I know nobody at SONOS cares.

Anyway. My Music Library (on my MacBookAir with OS 😵 works on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.

Same at my mom’s house. She has her Music Library on a NAS (WD My Cloud, set to SMBv2). The music library works on her Mac Mini on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.

Is it just us or hasn’t SONOS fixed Music Library for iPhone iOS yet?

Anything I could try to make it appear?

I already wasted hours (thanks SONOS!) trying different things. But nothing worked. Systems are all up-to-date.

That’s because the PC/Mac app is using the old HTTP access method, which was dropped from the mobile apps due to security concerns.  You need to remove the current library, then add it using the steps in this link:

https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/add-your-music-library-to-sonos

Note: Follow the directions exactly, especially the links for configuring a share.  And if you use the Mac app to add the library, DO NOT use anything but choice #3.  The other choices use the old HTTP access method, and will put you right back where you are now.

Thank you @jgatie but I already tried removing the library and re-added the library following those steps to the letter. Still no luck on iOS.

The only way you could be seeing the library on the Mac app, but not on the mobile app, is if your library is being shared via HTTP.   You need to try again, and follow the steps exactly, ignoring any choices that you think may be correct.  You cannot go by assumptions, the steps are not intuitive, especially on the Mac controller.

As I said. I already tried that and it doesn’t work. Just tried again. Still not working on iOS. So that’s not it. And I didn’t go by assumptions. I followed the steps exactly as written on that page.

Then you should contact Sonos support, because it is working for the vast majority of users.
