I’m really frustrated with the ongoing issues with playlists on Sonos. They started "working" for a brief period, but now it’s back to constant problems.

  • Sometimes the playlists just don’t appear in the app at all.
  • Other times, only two playlists show up, and the rest are completely missing.
  • I can’t even add any new music to my playlists, which is beyond annoying.

To make things worse, the playlists seem to be fine on the Windows app, so it’s clearly an issue with the mobile app.

I’ve had to deal with so many bugs and glitches over the past few months, and it’s getting really frustrating. Is there any chance this will be fixed properly, or are we stuck with this unreliable service?

Anyone else having these problems? It would be good to know if Sonos is even working on a solution, or if we’re just left hanging.

Thanks in advance for any help or updates!

I haven’t had any problems with playlists disappearing etc, but I don’t much like the way playlists are managed in the mobile app.  The mobile app actually parted company from the desktop app at the time of the last significant app overhaul, which must be 5 or 6 years ago, and I always preferred the original approach, in which Playlists was a separate category from Favourites.

Some functionality does still seem to be missing since the more recent app revision.  I have now switched to creating and managing my playlists in Amazon Music.  (I have abandoned my local music library anyway, but I know that won’t suit everyone.)

Some of your issues sound to me more like network latency than app bugs.  It would be worth powering off your router and Sonos speakers, powering back router, then Sonos.

Hi @Atlaskg

Thanks for your post!

Sorry to hear of the issues you are still experiencing with playlists in the new Sonos app.

We are aware that some users are still seeing such issues and we are continuing work to resolve them.

I hope this helps.
