Hi @Rogier,
Sorry to hear that you’re having issues seeing your Sonos speakers when using the Spotify App. I use Spotify myself and use the Direct Control option most of the time to start playback. I checked on my PC and Android (Samsung S22) and I’m able to see my speakers. I do have a few suggestions for you which could help show your speakers again:
First, navigate to the App section of your Spotify account. You’ll have to do this on a web browser or PC, not on the Spotify app, then confirm is Sonos is authorized. You’ll also want to make sure both the Spotify and Sonos apps are up to date.
Once you’ve one the above, try these steps, in this order:
- Reboot any missing Sonos speakers from the Spotify app.
- Reboot your router.
- Force close the Spotify app.
This should refresh any connections between the app and your network, allowing Spotify to see your speakers again.
If those don’t help then I’d recommend getting in touch with our support team for further support, as they have the necessary tools available to help you troubleshoot this, but I hope this information helps!
I too have had problems with Spotify on Sonos. I have three Amps and a Play Base system with speakers wired throughout my house.
Often it will take a lot of effort to get Spotity to play. The selected music shows it as playing, but no sound is coming from the speakers. I usually have to send the music to my phone first, and then apply it to the Sonos app device (one of the Amps).
Often Sonos just stops playing and I will have to go through the same procedure. It's frustrating…..
That certainly suggests some network issues. Have you called Sonos Support directly to discuss it?
