Controllers and Music services

I have Sonos for PC version 17.2.1 and Windows 11 24H2.  Sonos components 1 Boost, 1 Connect Amp, 1 Play 3 and 2 Play1'sBoth the Sonos app on iOS and Android work perfectly. My Issue is:If I open the PC Sonos app while my antivirus is running it immediately shuts itself down. I can open Sonos app before I load the antivirus software and it works perfectly, if I keep it open it works OK even after the antivirus is loaded and running, but if I close it I can’t reopen it again without shutting down the antivirus.I have made sure that both Sonos.exe and Library Services are allowed through the firewall. It is running on a private network.I have tested the issue with the following antivirus systems:  Bitdefender (my preferred), Norton, Malwarebytes and Windows Defender.  All produced exactly the same issue.Does anyone have any suggestions?Tony

Hello, For the first Time, Qobuz is not avaible in my SONOS S1 , on IOS , IPADOS and Mac OS , I changed nothing , my internet is OK, I can use Spotify and others on Sonos S1 , there’s just a message trying Qobuz on SONOS « communication not possible » I still can listen Music on Qobuz application but not possible to send next on AirPlay 2 on Sonos devices I close Sonos application, try to reload Qobuz rights on Sonos S1 , but still not working.  Is there a technical problème between Qobuz and Sonos since Yesterday ? Thanks 

I’ve been having serious problems with Pocket Casts ever since the major Sonos app overhaul. I’m finding that “New Releases” under PocketCasts often does not load properly. At this point, I can force it to load by tapping “Try again” after that appears and that will manually load the podcasts. I have a shortcut on my homescreen for PocketCasts New Releases and pretty much every time I open the app that will say unable to load. If I remove that shortcut, reauthorize PocketCasts and add it again, often it will appear but then it doesn’t update and soon shows the “Unable to load” status again. This has been happening despite my trying all kinds of things to resolve this: reauthorizing PocketCasts, removing it as a content service and then re-adding it, updating the app, resetting the app, changing control channels, tweaking my wifi settings, etc. I used to use an Android phone to control Sonos but currently I have a newer iPad Pro, an iPhone 14 Pro, and an older iPad from about 10 years a

I just subscribed to Sonos Radio HD, but the “HD” label isn’t showing in Now Playing. I tried reauthorizing and even deleted and reinstalled the Sonos app, but it still didn’t fix the issue.

Spotify doesnt connect to sonos system. I have an arc an sub and 2 are 100's. Its an expensive system.Its been going on for a couple of weeks. When i power off the router and turn it back on it works again til i use my tv again and im unable to reconnect to the speakers. Its been point out multiple times by the community and also on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/s/kmnD6vGcHx The lack of a response from sonos is just unheard off. Its an premium and expensive System they should fix this issue sooner than later. Same with the apple music that cant connection they obviously have an IT / IP-DNS issue and should write a statement to there users instead of this hide and seek stuff.  52 reply's on reddit with users with issues. I noticed that since the latest update, press and hold play now does not work on favorites. It works on everything else. Tapping once on favorites still works.

Well BBC Radio 4 and all the other stations no longer list in SONOS or in TUNEIN. As of this morning (8 am EDT)  I have R4 set as an alarm and it worked yesterday and today not. BBC Sounds does not show up in services. NONE of the BBC stations show in SONOS Radio or in TUNEIN In the TUNEIN app on my iPhone to which I have a paid subscription BBC Radio 4 now shows the following message.     Regional Restrictions    This station is not available in your region. Honestly this is so upsetting … BBC itself said that BBC RADIO 4 and WORLD SERVICE would be available TO ALL ANYWHERE.  And now they are taking it away ???That is the article where they said that https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8j1m721mp2o“The BBC has said its radio stations will continue to be available for people outside the UK to listen to live after BBC Sounds access is restricted for international listeners.The BBC said listening to BBC audio programming on non-BBC platforms would not be affected by the change.”There is no

I’ve had a Sonos Beam 2 all of 3 days and am wondering if I’ve made a mistake. I would have expected a pretty slick experience yet it seems the simple task of getting BBC radio to work is an utter PITA.After faffing on correcting my country etc to get it to let me setup the service I thought all was good. I asked Sonos to play BBC Radio 2 and it worked, same with Radio 4. This worked fine for a couple of days. Now suddenly though I’ve changed nothing I’m now just met with silence.I can manually get the station to play via the Sonos App, however if I use Sonos Voice it fails, having looked in the app I can see its selected the requested station but then says ‘unknown content’ and is trying to play it through TuneIn. I’ve no idea why it’s suddenly started doing this when it was working perfectly?I found another thread explaining a convoluted way to get it to work with Alexa, but I don’t want to use that and frankly if it can't process a basic voice command like this I’ll be sending it ba

Yesterday when I tried to play BBC Radio 3, I got the message “cannot play BBC Radio 3” . It was the same for all BBC channels. Any ideas?

I recently got two Era 100’s as a gift. I live in an apartment complex that uses wirestar internet as a community wide internet service. There is one network “Wirestar - Secure” that everyone uses but each unit has its own unique password. I’ve connected and reconnected my era 100’s many times and I have issues with the app. A lot of the time the app shows there is no system on my WiFi. Sometimes it connects and gives an error when trying to play music. Sometimes it will start to play music and then I lose control over volume or pause/play. I do not have access to my WiFi portal to look at the settings. What can I do to get this to work?

I cannot get BBC radio 2 through the Sonos app today 

I have quite a few playlists saved in the Sonos app. Most include tracks I searched and saved from Napster to my Sonos playlist. A few days ago, none of those tracks would play. An error message ‘lost connection to Napster’ would pop up and every Napster-derived track would be skipped over until the Sonos app reached a track sourced from a different streaming service. I did the usual stuff — cut the Napster connection, rebooted everything, reauthorized Napster, yadda yadda.Nothing worked. Hi,  I'm unable to play anything on Spotify through the Sonos app. I keep getting the error: could not play xyz, the connection to spotify was lost.  I'm able to play it through the spotify app but it takes 15-20 seconds for the track to start. I've rebooted everything, deleted and re-installed the sonos app and removed and re-added spotify in sonos.  All apps and system are updated.  Any help world be appreciated. Hi, For some reason I had to delete my system and re create it. Now when I try to add Qobuz it says "Qobuz wasnt added. Something went wrong, try again later" after I follow the authorisation process.Under my Qobuz account, Sonos shows as an external service but I have no way to remove it from Qobuz.Diagnostic sentThanks in advance. Moderator Edit - Recorded and removed diagnostics number.

I am now getting “An alarm is playing in X room” in-app notifications all the time. Seems to be happening since the last update. I know an alarm is going off. I set the goddamn thing. I want it to go off. What I don’t want is a pop up notification telling me it’s going off. That is incredibly stupid and annoying. I see no way to turn off this notification. I am on the most recent app update, iOS.The only thing for “Pop-up Messages” in the whole app I can find are for when “new prodcuts or features are available” in the App Prefences section. Doesn’t seem like that’s the place to disable this. Doesn’t seem to be anything about pop-up notifications in the alarm section of the app either...

I have purchsed 2x Sonos One speaker and a Beam a year or a bit more ago. The main purpose was to put it in each room (bedroom and 2 kids rooms) to set alarms and wake up next to music. Now I don’t see that function anymore and is frustrating me as it was probably the only reason I decided to purchase Sonos. Can someone help me out how I can still set the alarm.Thank you! 

I have just changed to EE from Bt with a new router and I need to know the correct Path for my music folder 

I have a Sonos Arc, Roam 2 and Beam. The Arc is in our living room, the Beam in an upstairs room. Especially when I use voice control (which is only set on the Arc), sometimes the app shows the Beam in use. If I change the player to the Arc, it seems confused and tries to play what was on the Beam on the Arc.For instance, if I had the TV sound on the Arc, it will play music from the Beam until I change it on the app to TV. If I had the Roam linked to the Arc, it’s worse. Can I set a default player on the app? I don’t use the Beam very often. 

Deezer tracks not playing, error msg ref insufficient network to maintain buffer etc.  

The community indicates that the greyed out music library can be fixed by accepting the update, however my system is up to date and there is no update to accept.   is there any other solution?Thank you

The alarms were fixed after the app upgrade debacle in 2024, until the latest upstage this week when they've been removed again! (May 2025).The alarm option is still shown in the app but all previously saved alarms have disappeared and you can't save any new alarms you try to create.Even worse, the existing alarms are still in the system somewhere as they still play but there's no way to see, edit, or stop them!!Sonos, please re-fix the alarms! Phantom alarms that still play but we can't edit are a disaster! 

For about the past week (seems like there is a new S2 controller update out), I will lose access to some, but not, of my speakers from the Android app. Currently controller is Build 80.29.6. This is happening on both my tablet and phone. Right now, two of the four speakers show No Content even through music is coming out of them. If I try to play something, I get the message “Couldn’t play Content.  Something went wrong.” This happens with a TuneIn or Sonos radio station, Spotify, and my local music library. If I reboot the router and all of the speakers, it will work for several hours and then start displaying this problem. This first two days it occurred it also progressed about about 10 hours to not being able to find any speaker on the network. Again, they play fine using the play/pause button on the speaker or the Windows 11 app. Any thoughts? Hope for a fix soon?Thanks,  Bryan

Well the app has changed and now problems are back. Can’t connect try again. All over the place. Takes 15 minutes just to try to get one damn playlist going.

I am trying to find the setting for managing guest access in the iOS app. https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/adjust-connection-security-settings When I follow the instructions of the article, I am not seeing the options that are described in the article. I am going to:Account / Legal and Privacy Section / Privacy & Security The only options displayed are “Additional Usage Data” and “Personalization Service” and nothing about managing guest access. I reached out to support and they only had me follow the same steps, ensured my app was up to date, and then suggested a full reboot of my router (???) and deleting and reinstalling the app. Surely the app was just updated and the setting was moved / removed and their support article simply wasn’t updated. Has anybody had any luck in finding this setting? Thank you!

I’ve read about an issue with the alarms on Sonos systems from earlier this year, with most people saying they have now been fixed.Unfortunately since the last update for the app a week ago the alarm on my system doesn’t go off. I switch it on in the app, it switches it off straight away. I can’t create a new alarm. I’ve tried resetting the Sonos, force closing the app - nothing works. Any suggestions?!
