Controllers and Music services

I have my Music Library saved on my MacBook Pro and recently when I’ve updated my playlists and exported my library to sync to my WD MyCloud Home, it’s still showing playlists I have deleted and is missing new ones I have added. I’ve even tried deleting the original .xml file and exporting a brand new library but no luck.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Over the last several months, Spotify has been functioning terribly with the Sonos setup in our household and 8/10 it displays the message “Unable to play ‘X’ - the connection to Spotify was lost.”  This error appears if I choose a song from within the Sonos app using Spotify music services; if I choose Spotify Connect from within the Spotify app it just fails to connect to any Sonos speaker; and if I ask Alexa to do it she confirms the action but then nothing happens. All other music services are functioning correctly on Sonos with no interruptions, so I know it is not an internet connectivity issue. I am also fully confident that my Spotify account is not being used simultaneously on any other device. I have removed Spotify from our music services within the Sonos app, I have reset the Wi-Fi (even created a new Wi-Fi network), and I have also reset all our Sonos products to factory settings - none of these steps have fixed the issue.

HeyTrying to see if someone has this problem, or even better if someone can figure out how to solve it.I have a few podcast apps connected to Sonos, mainly using pocket casts and stitcher. I have noticed that when I add a new podcast show to the app (I.e. Pocket Casts) quite often I cannot see that show from the Sonos app. Sometimes it fixes itself after a few hours, but sometimes it doesn't, and I'm therefore unable to play that show via Sonos. Thanks in advance to anyone who can give a hand.        

Spotify keeps losing connection to my sonos speaker. I have recently switched to amazon music on trial and I've had no issues with it. As soon as I reconnect it to spotify the same things starts happening. You haven't been able to give anybody a satisfactory answer as far as I see. Any solution? I've tried he usual router reboots yadayada 

I faced an error while playing the music on 20th of August, I thought that it’s only a glitch and can be solved by the owners. Then I play same on the 22th of the August as ***** but the issue is still same.  Please, tell me about the possible solution. Hi, this is the simple problem.i’ve just configured a share over my QNAP NAS through SAMBA sharing protocol, the NAS is updated and SMB is at version 3.I’ve pointed a major share directory in which, on surface, is visibile the snapshot folder and it start with a @ symbol; the problem consist in the fact that all other folders in that share are NOT VISIBLE in the scanned library from SONOS app, phenomenon that never happened before activating snapshots (so with that virtual folder visible and accessible).if i point/map directly a subfolder inside the main share showing the @ dir i see everything about what’s inside, i suspect there is some king of problem this special chars … could you investigate?Thanks in advance

I have been listening to BBC Radio Cornwall for years.  From yesterday it has suddenly stopped working and plays a rolling message saying that BBC Local Radio is unavailable due to 'contractual reasons' or a 'technical fault'.Does anyone have any knowledge about this and when/if it will be corrected please?BBC Radio 4, for example, works fine.

Sonos has problems with song titles that include accents and cedilla [ç] I have to get rid of all accents and cedillas before Sonos recognizes the song.I see that this has been mentioned before, but there was no answer or solution.

The Sonos pandora link seems to be broken again.  Can you fix it?Thx!

For years the Sonos app does not play all of my songs in iTunes. It plays for a while and then starts skipping songs saying unable to play.  I can go back to those songs and manually force it to play them so it’s not a corrupt file. I communicated with Sonos and have tried everything, rebooting everything and after playing for a while it still happens. Occasionally, like today it will stop altogether and just continue to skip all songs until I shut down the app and open it back up again. A very disappointing app that does not really work with iTunes.

I’ve read postings in this forum about the same issue that I am having and wondering if there is a fix or workaround.That is, a large imported playlist (from my music library) only appears to contain a fraction of the songs in the original playlist.  For example, an 8900 song playlist is imported but when added to the queue (or replacing the queue) only loads only 1200 or so songs into the queue.I’ve read that this issue may be due to a timing limitation of the playlist import process.Aside from a workaround like creating multiple shorter playlists from the original and importing those, are there other suggested workarounds?  I’ve taken to occasionally random sorting of the original playlist then re-importing it so that i get a different grouping..Or maybe there’s a fix?  If the issue is related to a playlist-import-time limit, maybe there is a way to increase that time limit?  I do not think i can speed up the connection to the music library.Thank

Hi,  has anyone in the U.K. subscribed for sonos radio ? I’ keep getting an error message “post code cannot be recognised” and gives me an example of the American post codes.  

I have a recent issue with Sonos. My wife and I both have our Spotify premium accounts connected, no issues. Just today, when I went to my account I see the Unable to Browse Music message. This is on iPhone/iPad/Mac. All apps are updated. Her account is fine.I have seen posts on here previously and tried following:Disconnected account and re-connected Logged out of Spotify and re-connected to my account having to login in again Reset routerNothing has worked. I am still able to see my playlist recent history and playlists that I had saved as Sonos playlists, but obviously not being able to natively browse Spotify is quite annoying.To compound the issue, on all systems it not longer distinguishes between which Spotify account is which, it just has two Spotify names under Music Sources; previously, it would just show one Spotify account and my name would be under it, and I could change back and forth, so now it just show two and

I’m having trouble reconnecting my Play 1 to my WiFi.  It was working fine and then lost the connection, having made no changes to the WiFi.I did a factory reset and got a flashing green LED.I downloaded the latest Sonos app to my tablet, and there is no sign of a system/settings menu.  All I get is a screen with a button “Join Existing System.”  When I hit this it searches and tells me it can’t find a Sonos system and takes me back to the first screen.This happens even when connected by a cable and rebooting the routerHow do I get to a screen that allows me to re-enter mu WiFi settings?  It’s beyond frustrating - seem to be going round in circles!Any help is much appreciated. 

HiI can search and find an album stored on my NAS library however when i click on it it get the error as in the attached image this occurs for a number of albums in my library, however the majority play just fine. Please could you advise

Many radio streams contain album artwork... Sonos just displays a station logo. Why?

None seem to have a solution that works.)When I play music from the Apple Music app on my M1 MacBook Pro to my Sonos Arc or Sonos One over AirPlay 2, there are occassional, random short high-frequency cracking, popping or clicking sounds. They make the music unlistenable.This does NOT happen if I change any of the variables; e.g. there are no errant sounds from the Sonos app (playing Apple Music), the iOS Apple Music app, the Spotify app on the MacBook Pro, or a non-Sonos AirPlay speaker. When I separate the Group to just one of the Sonos speakers, the popping persists, but it is worse on the Ones than the Arc.Sonos phone tech suppport was helpful, but ultimately decided it was an AirPlay problem and that I should contact Apple. I think it is a Sonos/AirPlay issue, and so I feel stuck. Apple will say it is a Sonos issue.Does anybody have any solutions or advice?

I recently separated from my spouse. We had a Playbar, a Sonos One and a Sonos Five. I’ve taken the Five to a new apartment and want to connect it to a wifi signal mediated by a Netgear Wifi Extender. If possible, I’d like to keep my old account including my various subscriptions, preferences etc. I’m on good terms with my spouse, so I can ask her to create a new Sonos account to connect to the Sonos One and Playbar. How do I do all this? I’ve tried following the instructions to fix my Sonos system on the iPhone app several times, without any success. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi there, during the day I get multiple drop outs where the audio stops, or I am unable to browse music. I typically use “Music Library\Browse Folders” that points to a Buffalo Linkstation. When it happens, I can open the network share from a Windows10 pc and can see the file exists. I have read a few other articles that suggest encoding, but these are one off tracks within an album, that do play if I press Play (possibly 2nd or 3rd attempt). Any ideas?Diagnostic reference 81528097

Hi all, strange situation  i’ve always used my Sonos system with a library from my Synology NAS, no problem at all.Yesterday tried to use Sonos for some relax but no way to queue files from NAS,  dropped and added again but no luck, the only change in the past was an update on synology from DSM 6.x to the new one 7.0-41890, smb1 was always enabled, i’ve setted SMB minimum to SMB1 and maximum to SMB3.So what i’ve missed ?ThanksDario  

One of my music files plays in iTunes and in an iTunes playlist to which it was added on my iMac. When Sonos is synced (indexed) to this iTunes library, the file can be found and played under artist within Sonos. However, although the file is included in the imported playlist in Sonos, when it is played within that imported playlist, Sonos indicates the file can not be found. I can not see any difference in this file and any other file among the thousands of other files and 70 other iTunes playlist imported to Sonos. Could there be something in the file that allows it to play as an album in sonos but confuses sonos when played from the imported playlist? The file was purchased/downloaded from Qobuz Store. When I inspected the metadata from the Qobuz file it had a weird file name (wrong artists). Don’t know if this could allow stand alone playback in Sonos but not Playlist playback? Weird. “Qobuz support” maintains nothing is wrong with the file even though the file name is wrong!
