Controllers and Music services

HiI have about 2500 MP3 files in my music library.When I start playing, everything is fine - but then I fx. watch some tv, when I again want to hear music and start playing the music library playlist it starts from number 1 again. Isn’t there a way that Sonos remember the last song played and can continue from there???It’s pretty stupid to listen to the same 10-20 songs again and again :)I know that I, via the app, can scroll down to the last played song or shuffle the songs. But I mainly use Google assistant voice commands to start and stop playing music.

Since recent Stitcher and asonos app updates for iOS equipment, both my iPhone 8 and iPad 2…. when I bring up stitcher to play podcasts on sonos, it lists all my podcasts…. Under shows… but no longer has them grouped like they are in the stitcher app.  So this means I have to scroll thru all my various podcasts to find what I’m looking for.before these app updates, the groupings came over int9 Sonos…. making it so much easier to find the podcast im looking for.sure would be nice 9f we could get these groupings back!

For some reason just recently using the Amazon music service within the Sonos app my Amazon Music Albums and Playlists recommended for me are all indian music, which I have never listened to before ever. any ideas what’s happened please.

HI, I have issues connecting to Tunein,  mostly where I am trying to listen to previous episodes (live radio seems to work OK - I mostly listen to BBC service). Sometimes when ‘listen again” playback does work, it will stop mid program and then I get the “Unable to  play...unable to connect”. I can always go to live radio at that point and it works 100% of the time - no connection issues. I have removed and reinstalled the Tunein service, rebooted devices etc.  I created a diagnostic report 1122795564.  Many thanks for your help

I have my Apple Music account linked to Sonos. When I browse “My Music” in the Sonos app, I can see all the albums that I have downloaded on my phone, but some (or in some cases all) of the songs are grey’d out. When I look at the same album on the Apple Music app, the songs are all available / not grey’d out. Any ideas / advice, please?

Hi, Sonos has suddenly started skipping all my tidal playlists tracks after more than a year and a half of working perfectly. I don’t believe anything in my system or Tidal has knowingly been changed. I don’t have any other instances of Tidal playing in the household. I have good download speed of circa 30Mb/s. Strangely if I open Tidal direct on my device I can play the same playlist perfectly to Sonos, I just can’t get Tidal to play from Sonos. Other music services play and I can play radio stations. My wife has the Sonos app on her phone and has the same issue. She doesn’t use the Tidal app. Any ideas? Thank you. 

When I plug my USB into my TV (Sony Bravia A8 OLED), the arc does not play the audio files for movies, even though they are Dolby Atmos, it switches to the TV audio automatically, even though the settings say its playing through the speakers? Does the Sonos Arc not support USB files playing through the TV?

Scrobbling to Last.fm from my Sonos system has been working flawlessly since I set it up a year ago, until just a couple days ago.  My first instinct was to try and disconnect/re-connect Last.fm from within the Sonos app, but before I did that I noticed Last.fm wasn’t in the list of available services (both in the PC and iOS Sonos apps) to add.  I still see my Last.fm account as one of the active services running but I’m hesitant to remove it since there doesn’t appear to be a way to re-add it.Has something changed? Eric

Hi Sonos. I have now lost access to all BBC radio stations. This is via tune inn and Sonos radio. It’s not fixed then with the bbc?

The search function in Soundcloud is not working properly.When searching for a track, mix whatever and using the exact name of the track it doesn't come up as a number one result. I have to scroll down like 20-30 tracks before I reach that track I am looking for. This is the case in the Windows controller as in the Android controleer. Funny enough, when searching for that track in the Windows controller it puts the track with the exact name in Italian style. So somehow the app recognizes that this is the track you are looking for. So why doesn't it pop up as a number 1 result? P.S. Every one is complaining for years why we can not search within all music sources at once within the Windows controller. Is it that difficult Sonos?

I have music libraries installed on a QNAP NAS and use SONOS to access my music via iTunes (65,000 limit) and PLEX (other music not on iTunes). However, since last week the PLEX service on SONOS has stopped showing the selected library on the Media Server but shows My Podcasts, Categories, Popular, Society & Culture etc and Other Sources (which only shows Podcasts when opened) and therefore I cannot access my music installed on PLEX. I have no problem accessing my music library via iTunes and playing on SONOS.This access problem via PLEX on SONOS is shown using iPhone (iOS 14.3) and laptop using Windows 10. I can access the music library directly on PLEX using the iPhone and laptop and play music to the respective device. The Remote Access facility on PLEX is turned on.Any help in solving this issue would be much appreciated. Hi team.When playing songs via YouTube Music and scrolling through a song (fast forward) the song stops, the app loads and after 10 seconds it gives an error. I've occurred this on two different youtube music profiles, on an iPhone 11, iPad 2021 and Google Pixel 2 on three environments:1. Sonos 2 appwith two Sonos Ones and a Sonos Connect.2. Sonos 2 app with one Sonos One3. Sonos 1 app with Playbase, Connect Amp and a Sonos 3Please can you look into this?

I have asked before and even been pinned to supposed answers but they seem to be above my pay grade.  I cannot seem to get my Sonos system to update with new Playlists or all my playlists.  I have updated the music index.  This seems to be something that should be a simple update.  Can anyone walk me through it in layman’s terms?  

For some time, I have been unable to play ‘iTunes’ etc. over Sonos.  I get the error ‘The computer ***** refused to let Sonos connect to it.  The Apple firewall is turned off and I have tried diasblib the Norton firewall but I still get the same error.  There are some apps that can run Malware scans but AFAIK they are not active firewalls.I hope someone can point me in the right direction for solving this.Paul Bedwell 

@Sonos and @Spotify should get their acts together and work to solve the API discrepancies between the two systems. One issue I’m having right now:If you exercise Spotify’s api and get a list of the players they can see you do *not* get the Sonos players back but only devices which apparantly have trully implemented Spotify Connect, e.g. Marantz surround amplifiers and the like.  You claim to be Spotify Connect compliant - how can that be when you are not?This issue makes it absolutely impossible to seamlessly integrate Sonos and Spotify in e.g. Home Assistant and other automation platforms since the desktop and phone apps will not know about what state Sonos devices are in.I can start a Spotify playlist if it’s marked as a favorite in the Sonos app. But Spotify won’t know it’s playing on a Sonos device so I’m left with the choice of using Sonos’ really shoddy Spotify UX or going to Spotify and doing everything from scratch instead of just picking up from where the state of things are

I have listened to radio stations of YLE in Finland ( under myTuner). Could do this 20th in the morning,but late in the afternoon  these stopped to work.  What has happened? Some other local stations as well as the Swedish radio work normally.

I am a paid youtube music member, and own a SONOS lamp. I have been using SONOS with my youtube music, and it has been fine up until recently. Now when I got to my library I’m met with “Unable to browse music”. Please advise. 

Hi there,My s1 app cannot play some of my apple music library albums. All of The albums appear all right, but in some of them, the songs are greyed and not playable.Its album that i heard for some years back. I signed out and in from the Service, but it didnt help.Thanks, Rami 

Hello the community I recently goes to Catalina and iTunes changed in MUSIC. Now I realise I can’t see any updates of my playlists. No new one are recognize by Sonos. It seems it’s an usual problem with Music but I realy need to have acces to those playlists. Someone of you had found any solution about this problem?PS/ My playlist doesn’t exceed 100 titles and I only have something like 20 or 30 playlists. Thank you very much.

Hi, noticed i cannot play any mytuner radiostations any longer on sonos. Sonos app on mobile says cannot play radio station directly when selecting a mytuner radio channel. I can still play all the streams directly in my mytuner app on mobile, so it must be a sonos problem. I can start other radio stations on Sonos if i choose streams from e.g tunein or radioplay provider instead of mytuner.Any ideas on what could be wrong?Have a sonos symfonisk.  

After upgrading my Mac Pro to Big Sur my music library via iTunes won’t play. When I try to update music library the system tells me it can’t locate my hard drive (on which Sonos is installed!). I updated Sonos which didn’t fix it. Can’t add a new path as cannot connect to hard drive. A new path recently appeared showing my library but it has now disappeared again!

Hi folks Apologies if this been answered already or if it’s a daft question. I have noticed this happening in the last year or so. When I try to play different music in 2 different rooms, one room will stop playing after 1 song while the other room will continue. I pay for just the bog standard Apple Music (9.99 a month). Have Apple stopped Sonos from being able to play separate albums in separate rooms? It certainly worked fine when I first purchased the system.Any help appreciated and apologies for wasting anyone’s time, first post here! Thanks
