Controllers and Music services

Upgraded to a new Synology NAS, and upgraded from S1 to S2. Added the path to the new NAS and deleted the path to the old. However the system still tries to connect to music that was loaded on the old device. Tried this on both the IOS mobile and the MAC desktop apps.How can I remove the old library references so that it only uses the new ones? Alternatively, how can I remove all links to the library so that I can start again, tried it using the “Manage Library Settings” but made no difference?Have seen similar problems In the past if I move music to different locations in my library, the music index update fails to remove the old links. 

System 2 x Play 1. Sonos app on PC. Media on QNAP NAS. PC & NAS hardwired to Router.Trying to add Music files to library. Building from scratch. Adding folders serially. Once the total number of files becomes large the addition takes a very long time until it reaches the point were the system just spins indefinitely. Had about 30000 songs added and cannot add anymore.Eventually system seems to time out with Music Files Not Available error. ‘Source’ is no longer available … yet I know the system is live. So frustrating. Tried. I know that this is a large library but in the past just used to get the library is too large error.   

So I already have play 5’s on one room beam sub and 2 ones for tv sound just brought a play 3 and 5 play 1’s from a friend Did a factory reset by holding the 2 buttons . So far so good the app finds them it takes me through the set up plays the hum and gives me a tick connected , but here’s the problem I can’t see them in the app on the system like my other Sonos products so I can’t assign them to a room I’ve tried turning them off and closed the app them turned everything back on and nothing no play 3 or the play ones ,only my original Sonos’s am I doing something wrong here ?  thanks in advance 

Why isn’t Mix Cloud working???

My Buffalo Linkstation NAS serves as my media storage and general data storage.My Sonos system sees my NAS and happily plays my music.However, having added new music it now won’t update my music index.and says //linkstation/music not found, despite still happily playing music off the linkstation. I am somewhat confused...

Thanks for any help I can get. I am pretty much a wash-out with technology. Okay. For a long time, I enjoyed uising TuneIn with my Sonos 1 app on an android phone. But I just bought an Apple i phone 13 and installed Sonos 2. ( Took me forever! ). But when I try to TuneIn and select “LOCATIONS,” only a few of the station icons light up and allow access. I don’t get it. Sonos 1 on the Android allowed easy and immediate access to all stations no matter where. Does this mean that I have to type in an address for each/any radio station I might want to listen to and then hit “Search?” Thanks for thje help.Phil GarmeyLynchburg, Virginia

I’ve used Sonos in my RV for years. The Connect, Boost, and two Play:1s were all S1. I bought a Roam, which naturally was S2. I converted all components to S2. Since then, I have been unable to load music from my NAS, which functioned fine with the S1 system. For example:I have a share ‘\\MyBookLiveDuo\Jazz’ … That will not save in the iOS version of the app when setting up the music library. Nothing top level share will save, including in the MacOS. Under S1 I could load a top level share without a problem.I can add to the app on all devices a share called ‘\\MyBookLiveDuo\Jazz\Dexter Gordon‘ and it shows in the list as it should and says ‘Hey we’re indexing, please wait.’ I then check the library under Artists and it says nothing found. The share is still listed under Music Library Setup.Same thing happens on my MacBook.Streaming music from Sirius works on all components from all devices flawlessly. S2 screwed up my ability to use my music library on the

Did CBC or Sonos change something with the CBC Radio and Music service since last week? I’m suddenly getting a message that “CBC Music On Air...is no longer available on CBC Radio and Music” when I try to play it. I listen to this station almost every day and it likely makes up 95% of my Sonos usage, so obviously I’m not happy about this.I live in the U.S. so I’m wondering if CBC started geoblocking its service or if this is due to some other issue.

I did the Sonos update today (05-25-22) and now my Sonos won’t play some Sirius XM stations anymore, it gives message the Station is Unavailable, which is wrong. Seems this has happened before and is a Sonos issue (not Sirius XM).  Sigh...please fix this one like ASAP!

Sonos S1 på android vil ikke spille podcaster. Får melding om at "Forbindelsen til NRK er mistet". Har forsøkt resette både sonos, router og telefon samt installert appen på nytt, I tillegg til å fjerne og legge til NRK som tjeneste. Jeg vet at flere har problemer med dette i S1-appen. Jeg har S2 på hytta, og der fungerer det prikkfritt. Jeg håper dette kan fikses i Sonos' software. Jeg håper virkelig svaret ikke er at man må oppgradere produktene til S2-kompatible enheter. Jeg har seks enheter av forrige generasjon, og om disse må skrotes pga software, får vyene om Bærekraft en ganske emmen bismak. 

I set up my Raspi-3 with Samba and the Sonos App only sees the directory with no files inside, even if I set SMB1.  My PC sees the aac files inside just fine.Any ideas?Thanks

I am receiving periodically messages when I try to access Amazon Music through my Sonos system that I need to go to Amazon.music.com and supply missing information. I go to the website and there is absolutely no missing information. I delete and install Amazon music in my music services and it usually works, but the next day I can not access Amazon Music. Is this a system issue?  

It was happening only a little bit before, but now it is ridiculous. I get this error when I try to play music from my Amazon Music account, and now from Pandora. I pay for Amazon, using the free Pandora. WTF this is ridiculous. Any advice appreciated. PS I love Sonos! But this sucks.

I got a new router/modem & having problems getting new network on my Sonos play 1. What app controls play 1? I have newer Sonos products in my permanent home, but want ti continue to use Sonos play 1 in my vacation home.it worked fine until I changed router. Now play 1 not showing up as a device…

I just added some tracks to my iTunes library, which is accessed by Sonos. They play fine in iTunes, but Sonos complains for each that it is  “unable to play <track> - it is encoded at unsupported sample rate 24b30464 Hz” (?!). iTunes reports them as being encoded at 44.1kHz. Any ideas?

I recently decided to try Amazon Music Unlimited over Spotify, but when I try and play music from the amazon app and click the cast button only one of my sonos speakers shows up.  I have 2 One SL a beam and a roam.  In Spotify you can easily choose which speaker to cast to.  Am I missing something.  I have removed my amazon account and then added back to the sonos app and no luck.  It is very frustrating.  I have an android.  I was just unhappy with the sound quality from Spotify so wanted to try Amazon Music.

I'm unable to control the volume of my Sonos Move without unlocking my Pixel phone and opening the Sonos app. This can't possibly be right? I've updated the settings per the help article and restarted everything but it's still not working.When you're listening to music you should just be able to pick up your phone and adjust the volume. Needing to unlock it and navigate to the Sonos app to change the volume is madness!  This is my first time owning a Sonos product (I've been 100% Bose up to this point). Bose allows me to do this. Surely this is a bug? If not this thing is going back.

I have a single album, about 30 songs that I uploaded on YouTube Music. When I navigate through the Sonos app, it says "Unable to Browse Music"I have removed YT Music several times and re-auth’d but nothing helps. All other Uploaded Albums work fine. The album works fine in the YT app, just not through Sonos. 

A problem has surfaced in the last two months on Asus routers similar to this post -- Sonos making thousands of SMB3 connections to Synology.  These have been posted on the SNBForum:Samba Issues Sonos and USB attached HDD drive issue.Any suggests on settings to update? 

I’m having real issues streaming Deezer through Sonos (S1), which have been prevalent for over a week now.I can browse Deezer, access all my Deezer content (favourites, playlists etc), but when I try and stream through Sonos I get an error saying it can’t connect to the server, or it can’t add the tracks. Amazon Music, BBC Sounds, TuneIn all work fine, but not Deezer.I've tried reauthorizing the account, deleted the account and added it again after 10 mins, reinstalled S1, reset my sonos system (deleted all my speakers, turned everything off and on again, added everything back again) but with the same issues, but only with Deezer. Has anyone else had anything like this?

HiSomehow my account has been taken over by my daughter  she has a symfonisk in her bedroom. I'm trying to set up a 2nd system with just my play 1 s but have no idea how to do it any ideas please ive tried to log in as I have a sonos account  but it won't let me Thanks

I’ve got a new Synology NAS and trying to connect Sonos to the music folder on it. I’ve enabled SMBv1 and tried everything else that I’ve read in the Sonos community and Synology knowledge base. (I used a WD NAS for years with Sonos, BTW)I’m using a Mac and the path to the music folder is://NASsynology/Volume 1/for sonos(I’ve tried creating a separate folder just called “sonos” thinking maybe it doesn’t like the space in the name; also tried removing the “Volume 1” from the path and/or taking the space out and just calling it “volume1” which is how the name appears sometimes in Synology; also tried the IP address in place of the “NASsynology”...all with no luck) I’m getting an access denied error (telling me to check the ID/password) when using the Synology user-ID/password, as well as when I just skip the ID/password step and just leave it blank. Thanks for any help!    

My sonos cannot connect to apple music. Is there any problem there? Thanks.

When you select a particular artist in Tidal you can then choose between Top tracks, Albums, EPs and singles, Playlists, Artist radio and Compilations.When selecting Artists radio you are taken to a playlist with no way of starting it. You can only select a track.Clicking the first track does not begin playing everything and adds only that one track to your Sonos playlist.Tidal Artist Radio worked until a few days ago, something has changed.

I have a Sonos 1 at my yoga studio (Play 1, 3 and move at my house). There are many of us using the Play 1 at the studio. All instructors have downloaded the Sonos app. Those that have apple music are not able to get it to join. It keeps saying the they need to renew their service with Apple. (I do not have apple music, is it somehow linking to my account)? Everyone with Spotify is able to link easily. Thanks for any and all support. ~ Melissa
