Controllers and Music services

Hello! I have my own Airsonic docker music server I use to stream to my phone and listen at home or work and the Sonos app has Airsonic listed but when I try to add it, I only get “Check your network connection” with Try again or Not now. This is via Android app or Windows app. I do not have any ports blocked on the local LAN and I can connect internally and externally to Airsonic. Can you recommend what I could look at to figure out the issue?

I’ve historically used the S1 app on my iPhone to control my system. I’ve recently bought 2 x new Era 300’s (to replace 2 x Sonos One’s), which I understand only run on the S2 app, so I need to know which products on my whole system I’d need to upgrade for them to work on the S2 app. I have an old Playbar and Sub (Gen 1?) connected to my TV, which is the area I’m looking to use the Era 300’s with. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,Just signed up to Tidal and I’m trying to play music on my Gen Beam 2.I can use the Tidal app on my iPhone and then redirect the audio to the Gen 2 speaker, this works fine.However, if I use the Sonos app and select a track from Tidal I get an error message saying ‘Unable to join queue’.Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Is it something to do with my WI-FI set up? I have the Amazon Eero devices so I suppose my phone could be connected to a different Eero device compared to the Gen. I have audio quality in the Tidal App set to Hi-Fi for both streaming and download. My Wi-Fi is Virgin Fibre with 81 MBPS download.Something I’m not entirely clear on is whether or not my Gen 2 plays back at Hi-Fi quality if I use the Tidal app on my iPhone and redirect the audio to the Gen 2. Isn’t this using Airplay, which can’t support hi fidelity audio?This was my understanding with Apple music at least.Any help appreciated.Thanks,James

Changed broadband provider now sonos not appearing in my app 

I've added SoundCloud to the Sonos app for Android, but I don't see the Albums menu entry in the app (the URL /albums on the website). How do I add it please?

I live in Japan and my iphone is set up using English.Since I use Amazon Prime Japan, I tried to use Amazon Music. The Sonos app will only take me to Amazon Music USA. Since Amazon Prime Japan membership is not valid for Amazon Prime US, I cannot complete the setup. Is there a way around this?  

I feel if it was possible I would have found it somewhere. Just making sure nobody is sitting on a secret trick. Not looking for the airplay output option in top right control center. That only works with apps specifically designed to use airplay audio.  Thank you.

Surround Sound newby here! I am a composer/producer and want to use the Arc and Era 300s setup for a surround sound music experience.  I read that Sonos Era 300s will only play Dolby Atmos tracks via Apple Server.  If I mix my tracks in Dolby Atmos, can I not just connect to the speakers via Bluetooth and play the exported Dolby Atmos .wav track sent from an iPod or PC?

I have just rebuilt my whole iTunes library. Every number has its own artist, which also has his own folder in the music library. I have NO folder with the name “Various Artists”. However, when I open the SONOS app to the artists list, I see all artist neatly listed but ay the end of that list (under “V”) I see an artist with the name “Various Artists”. When I then click on that, I get a list of collection albums which in turn holds e specific number.NONE of these music numbers is tagged as being part of a collection.E.g: Parel Williams with the number “Happy” shows in my iTunes library as a folder “Pharrell Williams”, which hold the music file “Happy”. Sones shows this item ONLY under the artist Various Artists and (when I click on that) the album “Despicable me”. This album is not flagged as a compilation.Where do I go wrong?

Hi. When I use the Sonos app on my iPhone, I see a prompt at the top of the screen:“Sign in to use new features.”But when I tap on the link, it autofills an email address that isn’t the one through which I’m currently registered, so I’m not able to log in. And I can’t change the email address to the correct one, even though it’s stored in my 1Password account.When I use the website, I can log in using my correct email address and PW, but that doesn’t help me on the app.Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thank you.

My Play 5 v1 was working fine a few days ago.  I can browse my music on my Synology NAS via wifi network but it no longer plays. I get the error message unable to play xxx access to my server denied. I have tried rebooting everything. There have not been any updates in this period. Anyone any ideas? 

I received an email a couple of days ago saying that due to issues with Android 13, the play music on this device will no longer work, so the feature will be removed from the app on 23 May.I can't see this up for discussion on the forum.I have a few questions. Is this S1, S2 or both? Is it not possible to work around this in the software?Why remove the feature for everyone on 23 May when many users aren't using Android 13 yet and could continue to use the feature? 

Siriusxm is not listed as a service in the list that appears when adding services. So I cannot add it as a streaming service. App, sonos port all have latest firmware. As does iphone I am using to add the service. Tried 2 different phones and one ipad with the same result.

RTE Stopped working via sonos app. Works fine via Alexa on Sonos 1 

A strange one - perhaps?I bought a used CD from Ebay recently - but when downloaded on iTunes and transferred to Sonos system the audio playback was poor quality.So I cleaned the disc with Isopropyl alcohol and tried again - same poor sound.I then acquired a second copy of the same CD from a different seller and repeated the download etc. - same result.The chances of both discs being iffy must be slim I would have thought ?When played on my “boom box” retreived from a cupboard the album reproduction was fine.Any thoughts ? 

All I have ever wanted to do was get our 3000 uploaded and downloaded songs out of ITunes and in a format where my wife could simply create a playlist and play it on one app. I bought Sonos to do that. Sonos has some great qualities but it is only a controller. I bought My Cloud by Western Digital which got my music out of iTunes but, lacks some things to make smooth transition. I bought Sonos Roam for on vacation playing and couldn’t access Sonos playlist. We bought a new car with Apple Car Play, can’t access playlist because Sonos doesn’t interact with it. She really hasn’t made the switch to just streaming she wants to be able to use our existing library plus add a few downloads here and there. Anybody else having these issues or found solutions?

So satellite service provider has forced us to update our receivers, Arris 830s, and we have had various problems one that I find really strange, no sound on the Golf channel.Every other channel is just fine and the Golf channel was fine on our previous Arris 630 boxes.Setup is a Sony XBR65X800H, Sonos Beam and 2 Play 1s fed by HDMI and all ethernet connected.I would appreciate any suggestions on how the solve the problem.thanks

I have an S1 Sonos Speaker and have bought & downloaded 22 albums to my iPhone and cannot play them through my speaker. I am an EE customer.what do I need to do to be able to play my music? 

I have tried out both iOS phone and PC to add on Spotify playing on SONOS app. Its not work and unable to find the services as community provide the way how to add on.Tried restart both spotify and SONOS apps, it does not help and solve the issue. Please help and advise on this issue how to resolve it.Appreciate all members and kind advice.

i recently subscribed to Apple Music and added it to Sonos. When I wanted to play the tracks that I saved in my library, i noticed that all tracks are sorted alphabetically instead of by date added like in the Apple Music app. this is really annoying, since I usually listen to my favorite tracks from new to old.  is this a bug or a missing feature? Perhaps I don’t know how enable it? id appreciate some help.  best regards 

Hi community!I have a Smartthings hub and I can control my Sonos from my Smartthings app. The wife would like a button/control on the wall to turn Sonos on/off. Any suggestions on this? Thanks so much :-)Kasper

At work my boss has his own Spotify account on his iphone.I have my own Spotify account with an android phone. We each added our Spotify accounts to Sonos app with different names.But my account will not display. It defaults to his account. We have my name checked on the Sonos app. How do we get both accounts to work on the Sonos app?

I am using an iPad with iOS version 10.3.4 and wondering if there is an earlier version of S2 that will still work on my iPad thx
