Hey. I have a question about connecting Samsung Premiere LSP7T remote control to Sonos. I have connected my Beam (gen2) with my samsung projector via hdmi arc and have also checked that the cec is enabled for remote control. Also I found this article: https://support.sonos.com/en/article/use-a-samsung-one-remote-with-sonos-home-theater-speakers that suggest to set up universal remote, but differently from the samsung tv-s, the projector dosn’t seem to have that option.  While trying to set up the remote under Sonos App, I get to the step where I need to press the volume up button. If I press the button, I notice that the white light on the beam2 will blink lighter, then I press the button on the remote, but the setup in the app will time out and therefor fail.  Is there a s

I keep my music library on my Windows 11 PC, but most of the speakers are in other rooms, and are controlled via the app on an IPhone or IPad. At present, I can only access the music library when the Sonos app is running on the PC. I suspect this is because I set up the Library on the PC, and the pathnames appear on the iPhone or Ipad in shortened form, e.g. as //PCNAME/Piano and Chamber, whereas the name on the PC itself is C:/Users/Myname/Music/Sonos folders/Piano and Chamber. I have tried to set up the music library using a longer pathname on the Ipad, but get the message “Computer is not responding”.I have used Sonos in both wired and wireless form, but it has no effect on the problem. The configuration of my house means that I need to extend the Wifi, and in the past I have tried the patience of kindly Sonos experts with the problems caused by various Wifi extenders. However, I now have a TP-Link Mesh system, which should be less problematic.I may be wrong about t

I have some older S1 sonos gear and recently got a couple of S2-only speakers. I want to set up a separate S2 system which is supposed to be possible.When I open my S2 app, it says it recognizes that I have an S1 system and I have two options: to just open the S1 controller or set up a new system. But the buttons only show “Open S1” or “More options”. None of the “More options” involve setting up a new system. I’m a bit lost as to how to proceed. Why don’t the buttons mirror the choices I’ve been given?I previously had started setting up my roam, but after I thought I finished it told me that in fact someone else had started setting it up already and I need to factory reset it to use it. So I factory reset it and now I just see this screen. I’m not sure why this is so difficult?!

Last night Sonos was working fine. I made no changes. When I woke up this morning, Sonos appeared unable to find my music files. If I browse my music by album, genre, or whatever, the UI says “no selections are available.” When I try to play a specific item from a playlist, I get an error saying that the file cannot be found. It lists a path to my NAS. It’s the correct path, and I am able to browse to that path from the File Explorer on Windows. The files is not missing. It really is there.I tried:Check for software updates. Result: an update was indeed available. I allowed it to install. No change to observed behavior. Rebooted the Sonos Connect device. Result: no change to observed behavior. Checked the Synology NAS where my music library lives to ensure that SMB 2/3 was still turned on. It was.I have a Connect in one room and two Play:1’s in another. I run the controller both as a Windows desktop app and on two iOS devices.

I followed all the steps outlined to add a new radio stream - https://www.wqxr.org/shows/holiday-music/. TuneIn > MyRadio Stations > Add New Radio Station and fill in the URL field with the URL.  when I go to listen to that station I get error message:  Unable to play WQXR Holiday - the song is not encoded properly. I’ve been able to add stations in the past with no problem -- so not sure what the issue is. This is the only entry that shows an option to EDIT  Radio Station. All others offer Play, Add to Sonos Favorites, Info & Options -- but none show URL so I can’t see what might be the issue.

I think I tried everything that I have read until now:Connecting the Apple Music to Sonos app Swithing on Dolby Atoms in Auto and Forced ON mode Played only Selected Dolby Atmos Playlist at Apple Music AppI saw that the Atmos badge is appearing while playing on iPhone speaker but not when Sonos connected.  Did I miss something ? 

I cannot connect my S1 system to my new Synology NAS (Had zero issues with my old ReadyNAS). I know there’s been many posts re this, and I’ve done what they say (SMBv1 & NTLMv1 settings on NAS). This allowed me to add the music folder on my NAS to my music library, but I can’t see any music on the sonos!I also tried using an IP address to connect music folder and goi a warning “the computer (IP---) refused to let sonos connect. Anyone able to assist?

I have a sonos system that has always had issues for years and I’m so sick of it! It’s ruining so many moments! Basically the system system is there one day and then gone the next! Nothing seems to have  changed, but I’ll log into the app and the speakers and components aren’t there! I’ll restart the app, but doesn’t make a difference. I’ll move closer to the router but still no change! I recently bought a new ‘port’ and re set up the whole system and it worked great and then the next days it’s missing again. Can anyone help me?  I have a sonos boost which doesn’t seem to help so have tried with and without. I have tried using Ethernet cables and without.Do we think it could be the router?  woyod love some help - I’ve had sonos since the beginning but I’m really loosing belief in it - it’s just to finicky and troublesome! best simon 

I bought a Sub Mini and added it to my Living Room. I decided to return it, so it is no longer plugged in or connected to the network. In the Sonos app, I see a little red dot under “System” and a message: “Sub Mini—Not connected”. However, when I tap on “System”, and then “Living Room”, the only products I see are the two Era 300s that are still connected in that room. The Sub Mini isn’t listed and I am unable to tap on it to remove it.What now? 

Not sure when this stopped working, but I am no longer able to load the Sirius XM Live and Xtra Channels list through the Sonos S1 Controller app on 2 different iPhones and my MacBook. When attempted, Sonos responds with “Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again.” This has been gone on for several days now. I have no problems loading the channels using the Sirius XM app itself, just the Sonos interface to Sirius.I can load the list of my favorite channels through the Sonos Sirius interface.I have updated the Sonos S1 controller app. I am hesitant to uninstall/reinstall the Sonos app, as in the past I have had difficulty getting my system discovered again after doing so.

I haven’t been able to send my latest tracks from ITunes to my Sonos. It used to work and I’m sure I am doing it right but it’s not working, any tips ?        From Tricia

Planet Radio this morning & still now thinks I’m outside of the UK & won’t allow me to play any stations.I’m not using a VPNThe App Planet Radio isn’t in the list of App’s for me to re download it. Any suggestions please?

Sonos app cannot find sonos 1 speakers after changing router. The prompts tell me device must be on the same system. It directs me to update system. That just tells me it cannot find the system. In a previous conversation a popular response was to go to settings/ system/ etc. The app won’t let me click system. How do I get out of this catch-22?

Is there a way to play on my Sonos system an MP3 file stored directly on my iPhone or iPad? My system has a Beam as a TV soundbar, and two Connect:AMP devices powering ceiling mounted speakers in the house. The file(s) are just simple files or are under the Dropbox app, but the files are stored locally on my device(s) and not in the cloud. Surely it must be possible to do this, but I've not been able to figure it out..

I have a S1 controller on my Mac Computer but when I go to the app store on that same computer there is no app for the S2 controller. I can find it on my phone but I want to add a music library and can only do that from my computer. Please help. 

Hello - I was hoping for some help please, I’m not great with tech.On my Sonos system, I have three Sonos Ones and I also have a Tidal family plan for me and my two kids and we each have a Tidal account in a family plan.When the kids try and use Tidal via the Sonos app it is set up as my Tidal accounts/ playlists etc and we can’t change to their specific accounts even if we select them.Does anyone know of a way to change this so it is specific to them please? I suspect that the problem is that I’m the main Tidal “owner”.Thanks, Eddie

what kind of controller can I leave that works in my home when a visitor or house sitter is in home?  There used to be a Sonos controller that would only work in home and I could leave for a house sitter to use. 

I have added YTube music as a music service but nothing happens. It says only no playlists available and I cannot search any song or anything else. I am also experiencing the problem with Spotify (stops when an advertisement starts). I have deleted and reauthorized the account several times. Is it possible to play YT music from my mobile and then connect to sonos?

I submitted diagnostics, 93086920Same issue as I’ve seen reported several times in other posts (with no definitive answer) - Songs stop playing at end of songs. Continues playing on my Play 1, stops playing on the Connect. Pretty consistent today, goes silent for the last 10-15 seconds (same as reported by numerous other users).I’m playing from the hard drive on my laptop. I have over 38000 songs in the shuffle playlist (which it won’t let me save, I believe I read several years ago that Sonos tries to save the playlist in memory, and there’s not enough memory in the first generation speakers). Therefore, any time the system glitches, it dumps the playlist and I have to reshuffle again (which results in hearing the same songs again sooner than I would like). 

I have bought a Sonos system and I am trying to connect it to Spotify.  It wants me to put the password in for the previous owner.  I can’t work out how to use my own Spotify account. 

My iPod is about 8 years old and it contains, within iTunes, my entire music collection.  I used to play them on my Sonos 1 speakers in different rooms using AirPlay.  Now the Sonos S1 app tells me I must use the Sonos 2 app.  But my iPod will not upgrade to a high enough IoS version to use Sonos 2.  What do I do?  How can I get my iTunes library to talk to my Sonos system?

HiFor some reason when using the sonos app (sonos S2 app) there are a few playlists that wont play. All I get is. Unable to browse music. Again, this is only on a handfull of playlists, the others are fine. they all play ok vie the Amazon app.Have tried a few things but no joy. Would be greatful if anybody has any ideas to the cause. Sonos System: Port output to Rotel A14 Mk 2 internal DAC/to a pair of Monitor Audio 20se speakers (living room), and a seperate pair of Monitor Audio 2se speakers (kitchen).I’ve also a pair of Sonos Play 3s in the kitchen, and a single Play 3 in a bedroom.The Sonos Play 3s succesfully play HD tagged music from Amazon (even though they’re the furthest away from the router).The Port (even though it’s far closer to the router) will play HD (and even occassionally Ultra HD) for a few minutes at the most before the badge disappears. However, if I link the pair of Play 3s in the kitchen,or the single Play 3 in the bedroom,with the Port, the HD badge stays. I suppose I could link a Play 3 (with the volume to zero) if I’m listening via the Port, but that wouldn’t work with any Ultra HD tracks.Any suggestions would be welcome.
