Controllers and Music services

My system has been essentially bricked since the new app. I have probably six grand or so in components that are barely usable. I’m unable to run it on my desktop as of a couple of years ago (won’t support Win 7), the new build won’t run on my Ipad (it is too old to support the required iOS) and the app is completely unstable on our Android devices, a pair of Motorola G7s with Android 11.Attempting to open the app on either Android results in a black screen with Sonos logo that freezes for three to five minutes until the system pops a message that the app has quit responding with selections to cancel or wait. Selecting wait, oddly enough, will get me into the app but it is unstable when it opens. It is marginally responsive to volume adjustments or completely unresponsive.The updated UI is terrible compared to the last one that functioned. I cannot be the only one having this problem. After the last update, I wrote to Support 2 times about my problem with the App, but have heard NOTHING yet. The problem is, when I press Sonos and have to select start or stop of a room, it usually takes 5 minutes to get to it, which is a very BIG DETERIORATION. After this update, Sonos has become VERY MISERABLE and particularly UNMANAGABLE.

Hi, I am considering changing from iPhone to Samsung and want to know if people are having issues still with the app on android? I occasionally use airplay because the iOS app sometimes fails

literally hours managing and developing my music library playlist before the change.  it has almost been two months.  when do i get these quickly back on my system / account ? I would like to see you roll out an extensive list of when we can expect all these extensive upcoming changes….not just what you’re doing in ”July” etc.   Further,  you have a great deal of personal data on all of us.  I don’t understand that if you “care” so much why you are not giving us reliable weekly/monthly updates using our emails to always give us status and coming soon.   why do i have to spend time going into forums or search your website to learn what sketchy written paragraphs you randomly offer?  we should be getting very regular updates from you in our inboxes.why cant you simply give us back the old app till you have thoroughly worked out this new?Many of us question your tech savy to have this entire problem in the first place.weekly/monthly email updates to a

Just to make sure I am correct (because it is hard to believe): the new app does not allow connection to a local music library - only to streaming services. I had the confirmed in a chat with the customer service  people but it seems so whacky that I thought I should check here. 

Well finally local library search is back. Although is always fails. Result “ something went wrong try again, .. and again and again… so yet again another release that doesn’t bring what is promised. 

Everything is up to date, firmware 16.3, new IOS apps on all three of my iPads. What is happening is, you have a queue in a room, that was playing, but now paused, you go to another IOS device (iPad or iPhone) and when you go to that room or speaker, the queue disappears and says “no music”. I watched it in real time by bringing up my Windows Controller app and when using one of iPads to change rooms, the current queue gets totally removed. This is with the newest app dated 7/17 even though it was released yesterday, 7/22.  Moderator edit: changed all “playlist” to “queue” for clarity.

I don’t seem to be able to see my currently configured Subsonic server from the new app.Will there be a way to connect to home libraries and media servers as normal? Plex is working at least.

What’s it gonna take for Sonos to do something about their new app? SO many people reporting connection issues. My speakers won’t connect. The new app is complete trash!! 3 years no problems. Give me back the old version so I can use my expensive products!! 

Under the incredibly bad Youtube Content Service - I used to have a saved Artist “Die drei ???? Kids” which contained short stories for my kids.After upgrading to the new Sonos App, the artist still comes up and all the “albums” but when I click on an album to listen to, it just shows the message "SOMETHING WENT WRONG". This is for ~90% of the listings.At the Youtube Music > Artist > list stage, I see all the “albums” but only the ones with a secondary artist listed [in addition to Die drei ???? Kids], will play.   

I’m guessing this is another issue with the new app but when select an artist (I use Tidal) and choose top tracks and play first one it used to automatically play the next one. Now it just stops after first track and have to go back in and select the next one. Very frustrating.Is this new app related or am I missing selecting something?

This seems to be happening when the exact same song at the exact same part as well. It only happens when streaming Apple Music through the Sonos App, but when using AirPlay from the Apple Music app it seems to work fine and doesn’t glitch at all. I’m pretty sure it isn’t my network because we have a mesh wifi network and I get about 800mb/s local speed over wifi with my laptop, and about 100-200mb/s external speeds. I’m using a Sonos Era 100 with a Roam grouped.

Hi everyone Unfortunately, I updated to the newest Sonos version 80. Eventhougt I read all the bad reviews and therefore disabled auto updates. Stupid I am, I manually then installed the update by accident 🤦🏼‍♂️).  Whatever, is there any way to downgrade to v16.1 again? I don‘t like the appearance at all, everything seems buggy, symfonisk doesn‘t work properly, alarms can‘t be shut off, equalizer is hidden, I don‘t see percentage of volume… just everything is a mess to me. Is there maybe a ‚testflight‘ version of the old version I could use again? Or any other possibility? I have an old iPhone backup from about a month.. if there is no possibility to revert back I have to swallow the pill, restore the backup even I will lose some data but at least having a proper app again. I don‘t understand why sonos is releasing such a buggy app :-( thanks for your help! ❤️

My radio signal frequently is interrupted for a few seconds and frequency has repeads. Any suggestions how to fix this? 

Hi All,I have a problem in new app on Android (ver. 80.05.06 - but this problem is from the very beginning of this new app). The problem is with albums on Synology NAS connected to Sonos. no album covers (on iPad is ok)   in Favorites/Albums no covers too and I can’t play music this is how it looks on iPad and everything works fine.   I can’t add music/albums from my NAS to Favorites, ther’s an error occured - Wystąpił błąd (on iPad it works fine)

So is the S2 rollback is officially dead?  It will not let me do anything now without updating?  Any work arounds? Thank you!

Since this useless new app has been released I CAN'T PLAY ANY OF MY PREFERRED RADIO VIA MyTuner!!How on earth are you not able to fix this!??!!??!!!??If you are incapable, just roll back to the previous app and give us our music!!!!! I'm disgusted 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Hello,I am having a lot of issues with my Sonos system for the past 1 or 2 months.I have 2 Sonos Connect, both are connected to a different amp, in a different room.Because Sonos is not working on a consistent user experience, and like so many users, I had to wait for about 4 weeks to be able to recreate a local library that could be played and listened at home, which is a catastrophic experience for who has chosen to pay hardware not for having that kind of issue.So, today I have back access to the music library from the two Sonos Connects… But only one can play the music (always the same).The other one (also always the same) can play the tracks I have owned to Qobuz and Bandcamp, but not the local library. The same tracks currently playing on the other Connect will display an error that only says something went wrong on ther pityPhone app (Android). But which one ?I use to play music from Phonos, and Phonos displays this message : ERROR_AC

Hello everybody !Sorry for the title, not sure it was relevant… But maybe it is after all. I don’t know.I will start by a speech, then ask my question 🙂 First, I have to say that I love music ! I have bought more than 16134 tracks (both from digital market and imported from my vinyls).I also love good hardwares, I have 3 great amps, 1 connected to an Xbox and the 2 others connected to a Sonos Connect. I bought the Sonos Connect because its capability to connect to a 3rd-party amp, those amps being connected to a very good pair of passive loudspeakers each. I do not like the sound coming from active speakers.So my installation was exactly what I was looking for…But..!For the 3rd (and last !) time, the Sonos setup has regressed and it was one time too much. The 1st time was when they removed the feature to manage Sonos

Just wanted to give a little positivity - music library is back to the Android app!Searching the music library is back!PLAYING music from the library without it crashing is back!What's more it seems the menu and features are thought out and aren't simply bare bones.What is not back:Album art on music library tracksSonos playlist creation and editing. But this is listed as a future update and I am a little more positive about the chances it'll be returning. 

Rename Era 100. No reaction when i try to rename the product. 

I still cannot connect to my local music library on my MacBook, when are you going to fix this issue ever since I updated to the new app.

I have lost my music library settings after latest update and unable to add it back.Any tips please. 

I just installed the latest iOS app version and it has to be said…The latest version fixes most, if not all, issues I had with the new version. The volume control is now very responsive - as good as before - and I do not get all the nasty error messages that were popping after whatever action I did. I know it should not have happened in the first place but, Sonos does deserves credits here. It is back to the stable app I used to have.Thanks.
