Controllers and Music services

Sonos S1 app one of my rooms disappeared from the rooms icon. It does show up under the systems tab under products IE: Dining room bridge. Dining room does not show up under rooms. Any help? I tried deleting app and reinstalling it . 

I have two Sonos systems: Two old Play 5 speakers with the old S1 controller - all working fine. I can access all the music on the local HDD of my Windows 11 PC. Never had an issue.A newer system comprising 3 pairs of speakers and a sound bar. All working fine using the newer S2 controller - except…… I cannot access the music on my hard drive - the same files on the same HDD that the old S1 controller has no problems accessing.The controller recognizes the library (safter a lot mucking around creating new local users, sharing folders, using the network path option etc etc) but refuses to list the albums or tracks. See screen shots below.  When I click on “Update Music Library Now” the usual message pops up:I click on Yes, and the "Indexing...” message pops up and disappears with a second. When I check the library for albums, artists etc, I get the dreaded “No selections are available”. I get Favorites is full when trying to save a song to favorites. Been like that for years! When will they allow more than what the old app allowed. It’s only a list! Any fixes? 

My system operates erratically. System does not display component status reliably; does not consistently display album or Playlist tracks; will display graphics for music other than that which is playing; will indicate the system is off when music is playing. 

I have a full system that worked fine in the last house, same Sonos app won’t connect to any of the speakers in the system.  What in the world? All of Sonos is 100% dependent on the app, will have to move away from Sonos unless it can be fixed. Anyone else have this happen?

I Wondered if this is a known issue. Having saved a sonos playlist using the windows pc app (latest available version) if I then edit it and save it again using the same name I always get the message 'unable to save playlist' however when I look at the playlist it has saved all my updates correctly so there doesn't appear to be any issue with the functionality it's just the message that appears to be erroneous.What is making it think that it can't save the playlist updates? 

Hello,A family member came into my house today with their iPhone 8, but could not connect to my sonos controller.Here is everything that i've checked / tried :The iPhone (and all other successfully connected device) are on the same network, using the app version 11.15.4 (my phone) or 11.15.5 (the iphone). I made sur the app on the iPhone had all the permissions. I double checked that all devices were indeed connected on the same network. Not that it matters, but both the iphone and the amp are on 2.4GHz (my phone is connected on the 5GHz band) I uninstalled / reinstalled the app on the iphone  And finally, I removed and added back the wifi network on the iphone.Unfortunately,  none of this worked. Any new idea or explanation would be welcome.I searched on this community for related topics, but could not find anything I did not try.Have a great day.

In the app, when there are songs in a queue, the queue list button is no longer available after streaming Sirius. This was how the system use to work and of course still works on the Windows desktop app. Can the queue button always be available even if queue is empty?

Volume control on the iPhone app is a tiny dot and very difficult to use. Can you make it easy to increase or decrease by a percent or number with a click of the button?Lack of this feature is not allowing to enjoy the Sonos system completely. Sad! 

When I open the Sonos windows app I am asked to check for updates, which I do and there are none. It then goes back to the same screen for checking updates. If I select “more options” and then “continue using the Sonos app” it responds with “some products are not registered”. On selecting “register your products” it asks you to log in and then responds with “your system is up to date” but it then goes back to tell me “some products are not registered” and I can’t get into the app.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but still the same result as above. I have rebooted the router and powered down and back up all my Sonos devices to no avail.I have tried contacting Sonos via the chat selection for the past 2 days but after waiting over an hour on each day I have given up in frustration.I can play my music using my iPad or iPhone with no problems so the connection is there.any advice would be welcome

My Sonos speakers (except the two Moves) are Ethernet connected to my network. they function fine as a directly connected TV speaker system, however whenever I try to direct Apple Music or Spotify content I receive a ‘connection timed out’ error.I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. I've power cycled both the network equipment and the sound bars. The Moves also have the same issue. Any ideas?thank you!

Was tempted to try iOS26 Public Beta and wondered if anyone else has tried and if Sonos S2 app works still.  My phone is still my primary controller so won’t bother is there are major issues. Thanks in advance.

I’ve got a handful of Sonos devices using the (dreaded) S2 app on iPhone & iPad (latest versions of iOS/App).I’ve named each of the devices/rooms appropriately and some names stick (e.g. Kitchen which has a Play:1, Living Room which has 2xPlay:3 + Sub) but others (e.g. Snug with a Five,  Garden office running an Arc) don’t.  They look like the name has stuck but at some undetermined point in the future, it reverts to Sonos Five (so I have a couple of rooms with the same name or a name which isn’t helpful to anyone other than myself as guests don’t know/care about the device type).I’ve tried using either the canned names (which I don’t want to do as they don’t all match the names I use for the rooms) or bespoke names but the same happens. I’ve looked through a load of other posts but they all seem to be about how to rename a device from the app rather than it not working. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong or is this just another bug which will at some point be fixed? 

I recently got a few Symfonisk speakers, and encountered and issue when adding youtube music, my primary streaming service, to my account. When i go to access my playlist, most being over 100, with a few encroaching on 500, i find that the list will loop after the first 100 or so songs, meaning i am unable to view any songs in my playlist after the first 100. Steps to reproduce the issue:Add Youtube music account Open any playlist over 100 songs Scroll down the playlist until you reach the 100th song, and voila, you will see that same section of the list repeat over, and over, and over, and over, and over!This is an issue I've had for a while, i had a Sonos play:1 a few months back, and it had the same problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, using different phones, and as previously noted, even using completely different products, all with the same problem.I can add any more details if necessary, but in my case, it really is as simple as that, nothing really more to

Hi,For more than a year now, I’ve had a persistent issue where I need to re-authenticate my YouSee Music account in the Sonos app **every single day** to be able to play music.I’ve contacted Sonos support (ref: ******** ) and was told the engineering team is aware and working on it – but no ETA has been provided. Also, there’s been no clear statement on how or when affected users will be informed.I’ve followed the “remove and re-add service” workaround from YouSee, but it’s only a short-term fix. This is me: I am a 79 year old guy who began my hi-fi journey in 1971. Last year I upgraded from an Arc to an Ultra; I hear a positive difference. My rear surrounds are in-ceiling Klipsch speakers powered by a Sonos Amp; works fine, a real improvement from the SL Ones, which I sold. My Sub 3 is in the hardware mix, too. Good device.Late to the party I guess, but I just heard about Sonosequencr a few days ago, and I am interested. I am reading all I can find on the internet, but need more information from real users.I would choose between a pair of Era 100s or Fives as exernal l/r speakers, but space and budget have me looking to the Era 100s. Looks like I still have a 15% discount coming from Sonos. I would love the Fives, but WAF would prevail. Not sure there is enough audio info to make good use of the Fives.Hardware choice is the easy part. I would like to hear from my fellow users about your experiences with the software. How can we remove other guests from spotify connect.So they are no longer linked to a speaker or multiple.We have a house that we let friends and family come in. And we ourself are also in the house often. But sometimes the Sonos starts playing music - and then someone's Spotify is still linked to sonos.How do we get rid of it. Since there is no Sonos account linked in the services.And since there are many friends who also can connect to the Sonos. We never know who is / was there. And played on the different speakers.We have Home Assistant running - if this helps with a solution.

When the HE, double Hockey Sticks is Sonos going to fix the Android S2 app so that there are playback controls on the phone lock screen??? This is a ridiculous, and somewhat insulting, oversight!

How do I get my Beam to play music from my network library? I have a Microsoft environment. 

In the past few days, my Sonos app shows a small circle with a "1" in It showing in the upper corner of the speaker image in the display. It looks like.a notification indicator of some sort.  But selecting it does nothing.What is it for, and why has it just started appearingThanksRon

Hi there I have been using Amazon Prime for streaming and just seen its now £20 a month.  Please can anyone recommend a good streaming app for my in multi room amp the speakers are built I to ceilings.Thank you.  

So, like many, I have older S1 SMBv1 compatible units that can no longer access shared drives on my NAS, even if I enable SMBv1 on the NAS. I was frustrated and had read many on here with the same issues and frustrations. So I set about finding a way around this.My solution will not work for everyone (I know, sorry) but those with a compatible NAS should be able to do this.What worked for me.I run TrueNas on my Beelink NAS. (It’s available as a installable package on many NAS brands) I installed Plex server on my NAS and configured it to run a media server on my local network only. I then added the Plex music service to my old S1 devices and now have access to all my music again! Here’s a video to help with the setup of Plex on the NAS. I only have the free version of Plex and it is working fine, so far.I hope that helps some of you! I was getting really annoyed not being able to access my music since I upgraded my storage but as the saying goes “there are no problems, only solutions”

Trying to play music from Plex to my sonos. I get the following error message. - “Unable to play ‘song title’ - the connection to Plex was lost”I tried everything.I have the same problem if I use the app on my phone or my computer. I am able to play these songs through “Plexamp” - which makes me think it is a Sonos problem?My server is hosted on a Synology 718+.I have the same issue whether I am in the home network or outside (1 Gbit).Thanks for helping.
