Forgive me, I am a week in to owning my first Sonos product, the arc soundbar. When I originally set it up, I was able to use the Spotify android app to connect to the arc and play music. I do not have a premium subscription to Spotify. Today, I cannot connect and play music to the arc through either the Spotify android app or by launching Spotify through the Sonos app. When Spotify first launches, you can connect to the arc but no sound will play. If you fallback to the device you are using, Spotify will play music just fine. When you then attempt to connect to the arc, the Spotify app will tell you that a premium subscription is needed to use this feature. So my question is - has this changed recently? A week ago everything was great. Today I need a premium sub to just play music to a speaker over wifi. This seems backwards in the extreme and a warning to everyone over DRM and subscription services. If I buy a network speaker I would expect to be able to stream music to it ove
Hi guys, I'm trying to use a remote controller with my Sonos Ray, but nothing works... Tried 3 different remote controllers and all options like moving closers to tv, new batteries etcetera... Help.
Sonos move user here. Spotify is linked and will play when used through the app. When controlling through voice Google will say “ playing Michael Jackson on Spotify”. Them nothing. I can change the song and volume using voice commands. Just won't launch.
On the UK IKEA website the Symfonisk controller is showing ‘last chance to buy’ Perhaps their making an updated version to go with their new hub?
Hi,I’m thinking of buying a Project debut turntable. I have a Sonos amp which is linked to a set of old QUAD speakers. I would like to place the turntable in another spot (the same room) than the amp. Is it possible to link the turntable wireless to the amp? Or does it has to be connected by cable to the amp? Thank you for the advice! regards David
Hi Sonos team,The only way I found to play podcasts with my current service suscriptions is throught TuneIn, which works fine. However, when setting an alarm on my Sonos system, in the source/alarm selection, TuneIn shows/podcasts can be used, but when selecting a specific podcast for the alarm, the “recent episodes” appears, and only a specific existing episode can be selected. This is nice but it feels like a limitation considering the dynamic nature of RSS feeds and their usage.Could there be an option that would select the LATEST episode of a given podcast, and therefore would play dynamically the most recent one even if it hasn’t been published when the alarm was set?Perhaps this can be implemented with another service provider than TuneIn but the limitation seems to be “by design” in the Sonos alarm source selection (one specific song, one specific playlist, one specific episode...)I saw such a request from 3 years ago in the archives but couldn’t spot a suggested solution. Thanks
hey,so one feature I would love to see is a way to mark songs as “favorite” and a subsequent favorite list of songs, a playlist with all my favorite songs for example.I am referring to all the services outside of Spotify eg Sonos Radio or any other radio station for that matter. Please make this a reality- right now I have to take a screenshot of the song and save it to a dedicated album - it’s a workaround but not a very pleasant one. Thanks!
Hey there.a while back, there had been an announcement for expanded sleep stations:Expanded sleep stations composed and mastered by Mikael Jorgensen of the Grammy Award-winning band Wilco will include Slow Motion Freeway, Waterfall at Dusk, Warm Glow and Midnight Beach (all HD only).I can‘t find them on Sonos Radio. Does anyone know what happened and if or when these stations will become available? Thanks! Hi i have an MP3 file that i want to play as part of a soundscape in a room with Sonos on loop. The file has been specially created, and at the moment lives on my laptop. I would ideally love to play this through Sonos without my laptop.Any recommendations on this would be greatly appreciated. ThanksThomas
I have permitted access from both Sonos and WMP. That’s about the extent of my computer ability. Can someone dumb down what else I can try or what I am missing? Thanks!!

I recently got my first set of Sonos speakers (Amp + Soance + Roam) for my patio. The idea was that I would team the Roam with the Amp to have hands-free control of the system. So far, that has worked brilliantly! One of the few things I was annoyed with was that when I activate Alexa using the Roam, if music is playing on the grouped Amp, the volume does not lower for both members of the group. However, if I use the Sonos voice control, BOTH members of the group lower volume after activating the assistant. This greatly helps with voice commands. It would be cool if Sonos could create the same behavior for Alexa that the Sonos assistant does.
Spatial Audio/Atmos musicWith the launch of Era 300, Sonos radio HD should really be providing spatial audio/atmos mixed music on the service. Currently it appears that only Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited are providing access to this, and each requires a separate and specific subscription. I’d like to see this coming from Sonos Radio HD as the Era 300 speakers launch this month. Would that be possible? Moderator edit - combined posts
How is a secondary search function performed in the Windows App (but the same applies for the iOS)For example, I want to find Bach Concerto for Violin and Oboe performed by Itzhak Perlman. This involves two different fields (Song and Artist) - yet only 1 search field is available. If I search on Itzhak Perlman, I get thousands of responses as he has recorded for decades. If I search on Bach Concerto for Violin and Oboe, I get at least hundreds of responses.I would have to manually slog through a lot of search results to find what I’m looking for.
Seems like the Sonos application does not support Spotify audiobooks at this point; in late 2022, Spotify added support for purchasing and listening to audiobooks on their platform. Does anyone know if Sonos is planning on supporting Spotify audiobook playback anytime soon?
HiDoes anyone know if either of the above services have more Dolby Atmos tracks than the other? I'm an Amazon girl but wonder if Apple have more tracks?
I have SONOS speakers in my Audi Q3 and would like to get the best out of them. Is there an APP that can be installed on Apple CarPlay that enables a superior performance than simply streaming through Apple Music in CarPlay.
what is the cheapest and easiest way to contact Bluetooth to play on my sonos system?!? I heard that you can use roam and cast roam to the rest of your system and if that’s true with roam is that true with move too?
Audible now has a growing collection of Dolby Atmos material. Is that likely to be supported through the Sonos app at some point?I’m enjoying Atmos content much more through the Sonos speakers than while using headphones - so it’d be great to listen to this content with the speakers.
‘talkSPORT on tunein live is not available’ It’s been like this for weeks now on voice command for talkSPORT. It works fine on echo dot and nest. talkRADIO voice command works on Sonos but not talkSPORT. Fix please.
So it is great that we can now listen to Apple Music Dolby Atmos from the Sonos app, but when playing to the Sonos Amp does it stream in Lossless as there is no icon to indicate this?
The directory of radio stations for radio.net on Sonos has not been refreshed in a long time, which means old streams no longer work on Sonos (but work on radios.net because they updated their directory). Can you please update their directory on Sonos so all station stream work correctly?
this week searching for books is no longer possible FIX IT!!
Hey everybody strange thing happening with my 2 of my sonos AMP and 1-2 radio stations. I have no problem with most radio stations but there are 2 stations (and it makesno difference if chosing it on sonos radio or tunein) who cause some problems. I have 9 „rooms“ in total. 4 AMP‘s , 1 move, 1 beam and 3 one‘s!on every room the 2 concerned stations play with no problem EVERY TIME. On 2 AMP‘s they mostly don‘t play…. I just get the „tunein“ chime on repeat. A very few times they work, but if i stop them and want to start again, they don‘t work.the work around is to select a 2nd room with the AMP and start the station before deselecting again the 2nd room.somebody knows what that is?oh yeah i am on sonos S2 and newest update bought all my elements toogether last year. Bever tried radios before so can‘t say if the problem is recent or no thanks
I’m pretty confused here and am struggling to get an answer. A long time ago I had a Deezer 1 year trial of their Hi Def audio service. It played through all my SONOS equipment at that time - certainly pre S1/S2 split on an original Play 3 and a number of Connects which all became defunct later. I didn’t maintain the subscription as I didn’t want the cost, and have used Spotify since. Now I’m looking at Apple Music. It offers a Hi Def option on music files - lossless - and even though I’m on S2 and have upgraded all my SONOS equipment to latest models, I may or may not be able to play the Hi Def audio through any of it. Really? We’ve gone backwards over the last 10 (?) years. I’d be interested to get a clear answer. I’m struggling to believe that SONOSNET is incapable of running a Hi Def stream around it.If it works, then I’ve got a reason to swap over from Spotify (who won’t offer Hi Def) to Apple. If it doesn’t work, then there is no reason. So Apple if you are listening, then it woul
