Everytime I open the new Sonos app on my iphone, it asks me to turn on bluetooth. Is there anyway to supress this pop up? I only turn on bluetooth when needed.
When will the ability to downgrade software be restored to the S1 app? I purchased a Move speaker in May because it was supposed to be compatible with the S1 app and my older Sonos speakers, but in order to make it compatible, it needs a software downgrade. The latest version of S1 removed this feature. When will the app be updated to have that feature restored? Thank you.
I have a Sonos Roam, I recently was listening to radio through it, now I want to switch back to Line In, but can’t figure out how. Advice, please.
It is not a question its like feature request or may be somebody could suggest the workaroundThe problem is I have to change EQ settings at least two times per day. During the day I want to get the best sound experience (set up default EQ settings). At the evening I have to reduce bass to not disturbe my neighbours, even when I watch TV and sounds not so loud. EQ settings is not easy to get. I have to go deep into the app settings to change the EQ settings. It would be cool to have EQ profiles or at least quick access to EQ settings
I’ve owned Sonos speakers for 12 years - and I use them for hours - every day - 365 days per year. I also own a software company - and I’ve been running software teams for 30 years. If somebody put this bad example of a beta app in front of me and said it was ready for prime time – after 30 minutes of playing with it and being constantly frustrated I would’ve fired them on the spot - are you guys serious? All of these broken or missing features are really, really important. And your answer to why they’ve been changed or dropped can’t be “just open the desktop app”. I’ve used the desktop app maybe half a dozen times in my life – what are you thinking? Especially when you FORCE your users to set up your system and add or remove any hardware from a mobile device? Not to mention, in the half a dozen or so phone calls I’ve had with your support team over the years, nobody has ever asked me to “just open the desktop app” on my computer. Come on guys, are you for real? First, what’s happene
I’ve generally been very complimentary of Sonos and the Eco System. Have been responsible for dozen of sales to people who have see the system operating in my home But I gotta ask:“Am I the only one who thinks the new app absolutely sucks” There’s nothhing intuitive about it. All my album artwork has disappeared, none of my custom radio URLs work - I could go on an on but this is no upgrade. Could someone please advise:how to restore all my album artwork (which is still fine on the desktop controller) how to remove all my tune in radio stations (which are all now greyed out) so I can try to re-establish them. They all still work on the desktop controller. From where I sit, this new app sucks. If I bought the system like this I would have returned it.
I’m really frustrated with the Sonos 2 system. Since upgrading, it’s been nothing but trouble. Here are the main issues:1. It’s full of glitches and often stops playing music suddenly2. The volume controls adjust randomly, either blasting music too loud or dropping it to an inaudible level.3. It frequently loses WiFi connection, even though our internet is stable. It can rarely go from Spotify to Apple music, loses connections constantly actually just now as I am typing this. These problems have been driving my family crazy all summer. It’s not just an occasional issue; it happens all the time. We have nine Sonos speakers, and our whole system rarely works as it should now. It is shocking that SONOS has allowed this to happen.I recommended Sonos to a friend, and he’s having the same issues. It’s embarrassing and has made me look bad. I would NEVER recommend this product to ANYONE. STOP PUSHING YOUR SONOS HEADPHONES AND FIX THE APP THAT IS A COMPLETE DISASTER!
Want to share a workaround for accessing your Sonos Playlists on the new app. If you use the desktop app (I have MAC) you can mark you playlists add them to ‘Sonos Favorites’ and then they will show up on the new app under ‘Sonos Favorites’ | ‘Playlists’.If support sees this they should share it with all users. It solves my problem.
Yeah, I’m old enough to remember the debacle that was created when Coca Cola released “New Coke”! It was met with such fury and negative publicity - including in media - that Coca Cola was forced to take it off the market and revert back to (basically) the same old formula. Now, it seems like Sonos is trying to become more content based rather than product / systems based. Stick to what you know - hardware. Roll back to give us the product control that made the system great in the first place. Otherwise I’m looking elsewhere for my client’s needs. Unfortunately, I’m already invested in multiple Sonos systems in two separate locations, so I have to wait until you “fix” or roll back the app so I can enjoy my system(s) again…
Hi, since the new app update I have many disappointments, and one about the queue. Most of the controls for the queue are gone, as well as the add to queue from other music sources. I am hoping to see these options again some day.
What is the quickest way to change subwoofer settings now? On the prior version of the app, it was easy by clicking on the volume slider bar and bringing up sound options. I can’t find something similar in the new app. Certain songs need bass enhancement and some don’t, having quick access to subwoofer settings was extremely convenient and the future I miss the most on S3.
I wanted to test out Sonos Radio HD on my new Amp which is hooked into whole house audio. I was finding Apple Music sounded great but the standard Sonos Radio wasn't doing it for me.Anyway so I entered my CC details to activate a free trial for the subscription service. I see it in my Sonos profile under orders but not yet under subscriptions.I'm not sure how to tell on the Sonos app whether or not anything has changed. Does the Sonos Radio thumbnail start to say HD? All that being said, I'm not sure the trial has been activated. Which is frankly pathetic for a transaction that can happen seamlessly online.I've tried reauthorizing Sonos Radio on the app several times to no apparent avail. I signed up for the Free Trial about 5 hours ago fwiw.
First of all thanks in advance to anyone who gives me advice as a newbie.I owned a Sonos system years ago but disposed of it but now thinking of purchasing two Sonos1 second gen. speakers. However I have read several dreadful reviews of the Sonos App.I would appreciate any comments from users/experts on this App as it is holding me off from purchasing until I can get some real pukka information about its use. Many thanks
I have so many questions about this new app… How do I define speaker groups which persist and have the music last played on each remembered.I keep having connection issues (delayed response or unresponsive)The speaker selected seems to switch for no reason? The access to Spotify playlists is now hard to navigateFYI - My wife and daughters have given up completely and have asked me to remove the speakers from their rooms…Echoing other comments - can we have access to the old app?
I’m using Sonos OS S1, Version 11.4 on my MacBook. I’m using the S1 version on my iPhone as well. My Apple Music playlists are all there BUT the Title of each playlist is not. The only playlists (and those show as Folders) that show a title anymore are “Recently Added” and “Apple Music Playlists” Even when I click on Recently Added, nothing shows until I click on the music note on the left side of the column. Then the title of the playlists shows at the top and all the songs in the playlist then appear. Any suggestions? Rob
I have a New port. It shoes on the products but won’t let me connect. Keeps asking me to sign out then sign in as system owner . Won’t let me do that and just keeps going round in circles . Sonos is crap!
The original thread I found on here was closed with no updates beyond a bug report registered with Sonos. It's really messing with my OCD to see a single play scrobbled multiple times over a few minutes.
Ok so I don’t understand the tech… but I am intelligent enough to know Sonos have made a huge error of judgement. The ridiculous update/new app whatever “lost” my music library - like a lot of other people it seems. Hours on the phone with Sonos (not including the HOURS waiting for someone to answer the call) fruitlessly trying to re-add my library (including them telling me it was Apple’s fault, which then involved 90 mins on the phone with Apple, who confirmed all my settings were fine and it should work) and then FINALLY someone senior at Sonos admitted it was the app …. and told me to try Plex. I’ve done this and it plays - BUT - here’s my question…Recently added music in Itunes : Because I can’t see My Library in Sonos, even though I click Update Library, it doesn’t seem to be doing it, and I can’t see if it is ? New additions don’t seem to be there ….Does Plex automatically copy an update in Sonos (supposing it works) or do I need to do something to Plex settings ? What a TOTAL
Did Sonos wreck their new app ...again? As of this morning the Sonos app refuses to recognize half my speakers. The only speakers that show or play are the amps, a Move and a new ERA 300. What happened to connectivity for for everything else? I have several Sonos 1s, a sub and a Playbar that are suddenly not recognized. Any fix for this?
I started out with one system - an Arc. Whenever I watched TV, the Sonos app would show something like TV audio - Dolby 5.1. Along with that, there was an option to increase/decrease the volume or even mute it. At one point, I decided to briefly play iHeartRadio on the arc. That now ALWAYS shows up.I recently added to my system (second TV) an arc, sub, and Era 100’s. I briefly saw the audio control options in the app when I selected the room and then viewed that system. Now the audio controls are missing for the new system and iHeartRadio still shows up.
For what it’s worth I have experienced the same issues as most of the posts here regarding the recent upgrade. I have a beam, sub, and 2 100’s connected and they were clearly out of balance after the update. I have tried a number of times unsuccessfully to retune the system with Trueplay. Then all of a sudden today I try again and it tunes them immediately.
I’ve read a lot of threads about the Sonos app not being able to control Spotify volume. This issue is different. My iPhone volume controls can no longer control Spotify volume through Spotify. It doesn’t work using the physical volume keys. It doesn’t work using digital controls in AirPlay. It does work if I dive deep into Spotify controls and change in Spotify digital controlsAny way to enable Sonos volume control when using AirPlay and Spotify app? Ideally using physical keys but at a minimum using a more accessible volume controller somewhere else.I have latest iOS, latest Sonos app, and latest Sonos firmware update.
To stream YouTube music from my TV direct to my Sonos speakers should my optical cable be plugged into the TV at one end and the play bar at the other? This doesn’t work!
Sonos dropped a new update today, and I was sincerely hoping that this one would (FINALLY) restore our ability to link to our local stored music, making it available through the Sonos Music Library. Alas, despite that promise of a “mid June” fix, today’s didn't work. I have a MacBook Pro (late 2018) running the latest MacOS. So does anybody know the latest ETA for when we will be able to play the music we’ve purchased and stored on our systems, via SONOS? Perhaps as an aside, I cannot fathom why SONOS chose to take so much away from the many who have already invested in SONOS systems, so that SONOS can introduce new headphones. There’s no way in hell I’m going to buy headphones from a company that took away some of the most relied-upon features for our existing SONOS products, to hit a release date for their new product. Why would I assume any headphones I might purchase wouldn’t be treated the same way down the road?
Have updated my ipad iphone yesterday to the much promised Musik Library will be back but no and the back to tv after playing music on amp missing. The app even after all updates is rubish bring backthe old app please then the poeple can choosewhich app they want to use.
