I have a PORT 48 System. My first issue this weekend was that the sonos app indicated that my Apple Music account expired (therefore, I could not play any Apple Music). That message was wrong since my Apple account is not expired. I was able to reinstall Apple Music in the app. However, the music did not played. When I click the play arrow, a dark round circle appeared. I contacted Sonos support today and sent a Diagnostics. While talking with Juan, Apple Music began to play. Juan gave a case # to use if I have more problems. And, I do have more problems. Apple Music plays. However, it only plays one song and stop. The system does not plays a whole album, just one song at the time. Has anyone have hd an Experian similar to me?Sono’s Radio was always available to play if I want it to.Thank you for reading this. Respond if you wish. Modesto
Ich habe schon mehrfach die Netzwerkverbindung überprüft, die App neu eingerichtet, die Sonos Geräte neu verbunden, ohne Erfolg…Für Hilfe bin ich sehr dankbar Moderator edit:Google Translate- Good evening everyone,I have recently been unable to play any radio stations. When I use voice commands via the Alexa app, there is at least an acoustic confirmation that the desired station is now being played. But nothing happens.Even when I man
Ever since updating to the new Sonos App, it is now May 21, 2024, IT. NEVER. WORKS! Awfully frustrating and annoying. I spend over 20-30 mins each time trying to get music on my darn speakers. I have tried everything. Reset everything. About to give up on Sonos completely I am so frustrated.
I’ve noticed that many selections which are Ultra HD don’t display the badge through the Sonos app (using a Port for streaming). Sometimes it shows no badge at all, sometimes it shows only the HD badge and other times it works properly (or the HD badge switches to Ultra HD mid song). I know that all my settings are correct, and my dac is showing 24/96, but the lack of badge still concerns me. Is there a fix or am I at the mercy….? Thanks for any and all input. NSC
Hey there. We bought my parents a Sonos Ray some time ago, as my Dad needed extra sound for the Tv. I set up the app at the time which I think was the S1 on my Mom’s phone and all worked ok. Although over the following months the TV worked fine, but they never touch the app. I did show them how to use it for radio stations, but as they are in their 70’s, they are not technically minded. We think that the app automatically updated to the S2 in background and can’t get it to work at all. It’s prompting us to accept the t&c’s but the option is greyed out. Trying to go back to the S1 app just prompts us to download the S2. We saw an option to downgrade product to S1 but says option is unavailable. My Mom’s phone is an IPhone 8 running IOS 16+. Does anyone have any ideas please? The TV sound works through it ok still, but the app is just inoperable at the moment. Thanks.
The new app removed the last.fm service so we can no longer scrobble music. Thanks for not giving us the heads up before upgrading. So upset!
The most reliable Sonos controller app for iOS has been updated. One of the improvements is a new look now playing screen. More information and additional details from the developer on Reddit You can force the update by deleting and reinstall. Moderator edit: Sonophone is not made by Sonos - use at own risk
I host events being on my phone during the events to control music volume or song choice (meditation, healing, and social gatherings) is paradoxical to being present with other humans.Going into the Sonos app has the same effect as same as checking my what’s app messages. The Home Screen / swipe down in iPhone used to work and now that feature isn’t available which is disappointing. Is there any way to control volume remotely? Like a 3rd party remote?
Hi all, I recently had to reset my Sonos1 and lost my settings including my Amazon Music “skill”? I used the Sonos chat bot and it let me know I needed to go into the connected services and add it back. However, when I follow the instructions I cannot find Amazon Music in the available list. I see others streaming services like Deezer and Spotify so I assume I’m in the correct place…? what am I doing wrong? Thanks!
I have seen several similar descriptions involving a particular device or service. My experience has been with all of my devices. I usually run my Sonos system as a single group. As I move from room to room, the music is the same. I have found no pattern to the problem I am experiencing. It has happened when I’m playing “My Music” and when listening to SiriusXM. At the times it has happened, I have not been making adjustments or using apps for Sonos. Suddenly, music stops. On investigation, I find all devices have volume level set to zero. I can correct the settings from my Android or IOS app, and everything works until it happens again.I will say that I do not recall this happening prior to the attempt to make Sonos unusable by replacing the supporting apps with garbage.
Hello,When I play a station from the LITT Live service it subsequently appears in the “Recently Played” list. However, when I try to “replay” any LITT Live stations from the “Recently Played” list, I always get served a “Something went wrong” error. I have this problem on both ios and Android devices. Is this a bug in the app, or are there any troubleshooting steps recommended?P.S. I used to have the same problem with the MyTuner service, but no longer do so. All MyTuner stations now successfully can be replayed via the “Recently Played” list. So, I think that problem was fixed in one of the recent Sonos app updates.
Can you download the 16.0 software for Windows and roll back from this horrendous software update?Otherwise, I think that outsourcing their software division to a competitor has worked, it has given the competitor more sales.
I know it’s down to myTuner and the stupid court decision that we cannot access radio stations from abroad anymore. But please add a way that one can play these radio stations through Sonos. Else the whole system is useless for me and many others.
Hi, I have had this problem since before the recent Update. All my devices are S2 compatible. But using the older ones (Play:1) its extremely laggy. Moving the volume slider doesn't do anything for 5-10 seconds, pausing or playing the same. I downgraded all my devices to S1 and it's working perfectly fine. So I suspect my Network is fine. the problem is: The S1 doesn't seem to get any attention anymore. Trueaudio doesn't work, it's buggy. So using the more recent software seems to be the way to go. I reset one of my Play:1 to try it with the new app. It’s a wired connection for now. But I am experiencing the same problems. I sent a Diagnostic Info with the number **********. So if anyone from Sonos is reading please check if you can find anything that is causing this in my system. I have tried everything on the support pages (i.e. changing the Wifi Channel….). Thanks!Moderator edit: Diagnostics number recorded and removed (identifying information)
Alright, July 22 app update just dropped.I took the risk of updating so you don’t have to 🙃🤣 So far so good, it opened on first try. Will update. Is it working for you?Samsung Android users are you back to a working app? iOS release notes Added setup, configuration, and search for local Music Library Improved account settings for Sonos Pro subscribers Added line-in autoplay and compression settings Improved accessibility in Settings Improved notification for player firmware updates Improved Sub audio settings with Amp ETA THE GOOD :local library search is working Configuration and set up for local libraries is there but I’m not testing it as it’s working for me and I don’t want to tempt fate Line in auto play seems to be working. Sub audio has phase control and crossover frequency. I haven’t tested if they actually do anything but hopefully working as expected.***Loading way quicker on my network, ~2.5 seconds after a force close for Recently played, sonos favourites etc to populate.
I refer you toi the forum for volumes of details about this complete breakdown of the SONOS products through gross negligence.
when will Mute be added back to the app. i miss it and need it back. I use iOS and android.
I have a failing S1 system. I have made the decision to upgrade to S2 (or whatever it is called now). Not knowing that my Spotify playlists would have to be “public” to edit (or maybe transport?), most of them are private since I didn’t know that was a thing. I have over 84 playlists totaling multiple thousands of songs. (I’ve had S1 since 2009.) Please tell me that my playlists will come with me when I update even if they are private on Spotify. I guess you can tell me even if they won’t. But if that is the case, I am switching to Denon since I’ll have to make them all over again anyway...Doubt I’ll live that long. Thanks for your help.Moderator edit: changed Sonos One and Sonos Two to S1 and S2 respectively, for clarity.
In the past, functional version of the Sonos app(s):There was an option in the settings menu to enable UPNP functionality. After this was enabled, the UPNP servers on the local network should show up in the Music Source area.I had turned this on in the past to browse UPnP Libraries that I keep online but don’t merge into my main listening library. They are handy to have when the mode suits us (think Christmas music). I could queue music from these shares indirectly by adding items to my Sonos favorites. The current versions of the apps do not have this enable/disable setting/feature anymore. Though, because I enabled this in the past, the Windows app still ‘supports’ this. I just turned on an old NAS (you guessed it, with my Christmas collection) with a UPnP service running and it shows up in the Music Source list. I know with all the rest that is going on in the Sonos mess this one may not be way up there in the need to fix list but it is a handy feature, so I just wanted to get it out
Hi @Corry P / @Jamie A / @Sotiris C., so many issues with the new app and so many threads, that I don't know if this one has been discussed yet, so I would like to report it to be sure it’s on the backlog:On Amazon Music I can search for an Artist and see their Top Songs folder, but there's no option to play these songs. If I click on one of these songs it plays only this one and stops. In 16.1 and before I was able to play all songs on the Artist Top Songs, being also able to toggle shuffle and repeat. Could you add this to the bug backlog, please? Thanks
With the inability of the new Sonos upgrade to easily play my Music Library I found a way to access my Music using my iTunes organization, Songs, Imported Folders, etc. I now use my iPhone where I stored ALL my Music. A lot easier to access my Music than the mess Sonos recently made. I have a iPhone 15 with over 18,000 songs, using a good portion of my 512 GB’s.
After updating to the latest version the other day, I was able to get a bunch of features (like searching the music library) back which was great and I followed the notes to add my music library from an external drive. It finally worked!Unfortunately, when I added a few dozen more albums today and tried updating the music library it started looking for the regular Music folder on my iMac instead of the external folder that was where the music library was listed. With all of the struggles with the app I know I probably should have just let it go w/o the update, but I thought “maybe if I remove the music library and start over it will grab the new additions?”Of course, now I have no music library at all… It keeps looking for the regular Music folder. Anybody have any ideas how to get it to look for the external drive again? I’ve retraced the previous steps, but it just won’t stop looking for the regular Music folder
I thought it couldn’t get any worse. No fast scroll, no album art, no search. You’ve basically destroyed use of my music library. Now I want to listen to an album called “Trance Europe Express” that I’ve filed under the Album Artist “Trance Europe Express” because it’s a series of compilations and I get this track 9, 3, 2, 10 etc. This is on both the Android app and Windows desktop. After playing this mess the Android app just crashes cyclically now. What else might suffer from the same thing? DJ Paul Oakenfold, filed under Album Artist Paul Oakenfold, lots of different artists. Yep, worked for years but now junked. Thousands of pounds worth of equipment now no more than scrap.Apologies if someone else has pointed this out but a search of topics didn’t immediately show anything obvious.I don’t expect anything other than corporate platitudes so really don’t bother. Do better.
The songs played on the SONOS speaker cannot be displayed synchronously on the SONOS client. The delay is very severe. Please solve it as soon as possible!
