Hi does anyone know how much it would cost to repair a CR200 controller screen as mine doesn't work at the bottom?
Ever since the last update I cannot play song from my Synology DS214 anymore. My both Play:1 can find the source, select the title but plays the track in short sequences. I can see the timeline moving forward (0:05...0:24...) but you will only hear the song parts of a second then silence. Also I get the errors 1001, 1002..or network speed not sufficient. TuneIn works flawlessly, also Amazon Music and Apple Music. In addition, removing and adding the Library from my Synology didn't help. The Indexing now has been going on for tow days now (25GB of Music).
Just purchased (2) Play 5's for stereo pair. Received two different hardware versions 1.13.1.8-1 and 1.13.1.7-1. They came in different looking boxes as well. They seem to sound and work fine. Just curious about different hardware versions.
I want to be able to choose which speakers housemates/guests have access to. Right now we have a handful of Sonos speakers scattered throughout the house, but we also have speakers in our Bedroom that I (and my wife) want to solely have access to. Is there a way that we can hide these Bedroom speakers so that only we can access these. Also, is there a way we can set "Admin" rights so that we can control the other speaker units and potentially lock or limit the loudness of these speakers at certain times. For example someone trying to use the SONOS system at 3am on a weekday and accidently blasts at full volume throughout the whole house (including our Bedroom Speakers). Any insight from users or the SONOS team would be great.
Am not able to install controller on my mac laptop (Sierra 10.12.5). When I click Sonos app link from Safari, nothing happens (I suspect file is being deemed a security risk by OS). When I click app link from Chrome, get warning of risky file. When I confirm to proceed (why wouldn't I trust Sonos??) I get a Chinese install window per image below (all settings english - I checked). Please advise on how to proceed. For a system that is supposed to be seamless and fool-proof, I am surprised at the number of challenges I have faced at every step. Original wireless setup failed on multiple attempts and required multiple help centre conversations (eventually requiring boost device despite strong 60Mbps signal in every corner of my house), Alexa in Canada is garbage (unless you are willing to conduct major brain surgery through a 100 or so lines of instructions posted by users online) and now the Mac OS app is garbage. Please Sonos - at least try to live up to your promise!!!
Hi Sonos, Any plans to expand sonos with Samsung smartthings. I can stream content form my android phone to my sonos speaker using the smartthing app. This kinda of a work around for friends that visit, and want to stream music to my sonos. Will there be more options in the future?
Is it possible to stop others from changing Sonos? We are having a huge party soon and last time, Sonos hardly played anything as everyone was changing it via their apps on their phones constantly! I want to be able to control the music played for this event. HELP PLEASE! TIA 🙂
I want a bar/pub jukebox feel for my home and want to link my sonos speakers to it. Anyone have a home jukebox software that would work with sonos? I want a simple jukebox software/ app for party guests so they don't have to go with features like: party-mode (only music jukebox view-able, can't access rest of computer with out password) easy music select buttons (like a restaurant, pub jukebox) Add song to queue by selecting a song. When nothing in selected song queue to play then play a master playlist. etc...
I have 6418 tracks from Amazon in an unsaved queue and am trying to save it as a playlist. When I try this I get the following message: "Sonos doesn't have enough free space left to save the queue. Remove old saved playlists or queues in other rooms, and try again" I have cleared out all other queues in the system without success. I recall something about Sonos having an overall limit of 10,000 tracks for all playlists. However, I only have one other playlist that totals 1311 tracks so this would not hit this limit. I'm aware of the 500 track limit when adding Amazon tracks to a playlist but was hoping this would be a workaround. Has anyone else encountered this issue and/or found a remedy? Thanks.
I will have 2 semi connected rooms to spread music through. If room 1 includes 6 Sonos 1's and 2 8 Ohm wired speakers, and room 2 contained 4 8 Ohm wired speakers it seems that I would also purchase 2 Connect Amps (for the 6 wired speakers. I am trying to envision how the volume control would be handled through the app. The music source would always be the same in both rooms, but at times I "may": 1) need the volume of room 1 different from room 2. I think that is done by "grouping" or assigning "rooms" (2) which may give me 2 volume slider bars??? 2) I am curious if I would be able to adjust the volume of either individual speakers or pairs of speakers? I would imagine so at least with the most basic setups, but I don't know if throwing in the wired speakers and 2 groups or rooms limits my volume control options (for question 1 and/or 2). thanks, without ever using the system it is difficult for me to envision the functionality.
Hello, I am a premium subscriber of both Spotify and Musixmatch.. I have 2 ways to decide what to play on my Sonos speakers. 1) I can use the Sonos controller App (iOS or MacOS) 2) I can use the Spotify app (iOS or MacOS) through Spotify Connect This scenario works very fine: a) start Musixmatch app on MacOS or iOS b) start Spotify on iOS or MacOS c) play a song and using Spotify Connect instruct the Sonos speaker to take over the song d) Lyrics shows nicely on Musixmatch app on MacOS and iOS This scenario fails: a) start Musixmatch app on MacOS or iOS b) start Sonos controller on iOS or MacOS c) play a spotify song and using Sonos controller. d) Neither the Musixmatch MacOS or iOS reacts to the song being played. Anybody have the same setup that can confirm the problem? Any idea who should address the problem? Sonos Spotify Musixmatch? Regards
I am installing Sonos at another home that I own that is on a different WIFI. Do I need to use a totally different cellphone account as a controller?
Anyone know how to do factory reset for sonos one?
There are a couple threads already related to my question, but no solid fix, or logical answer. I want to click on album view, so that I can see the album art, but sort the albums by artist name. for instance when I click on album, I want to see AC/DC and all of their albums, then Aerosmith and their albums, then the Beatles and their albums... etc... A to Z by artist, but showing the album and cover art for each album. This is how iTunes sorts albums and it is by far the best way possible to view a massive music collection. I spent a lot of money on my Sonos system and this seems like it should be a pretty simple software fix. I absolutely love everything about Sonos, but this is making me very upset! Please help...
My shuffle and repeat songs icons are greyed out and I cannot use these functions. I am using a MacBook Pro. I've never had this problem before. Any ideas on how to fix this? I like to shuffle my playlists.
Hi All... I just installed the Sonos controller on my new iPhone 8. First time I have ever had an iOS device. When I connected the Sonos app to Spotify, it automatically connected to an account (required no login). Unfortunately it connected to the wrong account. It appears to be my son's Spotify account. I have never logged into his account before, ever, on any device I own so not sure why it would connect to his. I also connected to Pandora and it found my Pandora account without issue (never required a login) here either. I have the Spotify app installed on the same device and it is logged into my account correctly. I cannot find a setting anywhere to change this. Any help would be appreciated.
The latest update work like crap. Please fix it!
It used to be you could open the sonos app and use your volume hard buttons to control volume. This now seems to be disabled and you can only do it with the GUI slider. I hope that's not a permanent change? The hard button control is hands down the easiest way to control you system volume without having to use two hands and stare at the screen. In my sonos system sales I'm always showing people the hard button volume and everyone loves it. Please bring it back!!!! Ok. So I just tested further. It looks like ver 4.3 on iPhone 5 the hard buttons still work. Ver 4.3 on iPhone 5s the buttons are not working. Will test iphone when I get home.
I tried to search the community, but was not finding anything. My boss and I both have Sonos Play:1 speakers. Mine is not Alexa/Echo enabled, and I am not sure if hers is. She just sent me a message that my music (Sonos streaming radio) is playing through her speaker and she can't get her own items to play. How do I either 1) completely disconnect and just take the speaker home, or 2) figure out how to allow us to have independent streams? Thanks!
I guess this has come up before but when I find an album I want to add I have to put it into play mode then I can "save" and edit the album or add the artist name so far so good, how can I do this without having to put into play mode? If i am listening to music and want to add albums I cant without playing them. Yes I can add playlist but that creates a new playlist each time I just want a each album listed individual. Hope this makes sense.
For reference, I use Google Music... Quick question: when I'm viewing a playlist (so in a specific playlist, not just viewing all of my playlists), to the upper right I get the three dot menu option that allows me to "play now", "play next", "add to end of queue", etc. I get six useful options. If I'm in a genre, and view a specific genre, and click that same menu option, all I get is the option to "Add to My Sonos." It doesn't allow me to add songs to a queue or to create quick and easy playlists. Why not give that same functionality that I get from my playlists view to genres, artists, etc.? Is this simply an oversight that can be corrected?
Hi, could you please help me to remove myself from the beta program? I've tried the advice and removed myself off the beta website and reinstalled the app, but it still won't allow me to update without an email, which I never seem to receive. Any help would be appreciated
Exactly as the title suggests. IPhone running the latest IOS, sonos app updated this morning, still can't use trueplay.
Sometimes when i leave my house i forgot to stop the music playing. Is it a option that when your wifi disconnects while your music is playing, you get a alert. You can turnback to house and stop the music.
OK, what am I missing, I'm sure to add a Sonos Playlist to the Favourites menu you simply accessed the menu at the end of the line and choose 'Add to Favourites'? I now can't see how to do it from anywhere in the desktop controller or Android app. There is now an 'Add to Sonos Playlist' option (as shown in the attachment) which makes no sense as it is a Playlist (?!), but otherwise I'm either going senile, mad or both. Can someone please direct me?
