My shuffle and repeat songs icons are greyed out and I cannot use these functions. I am using a MacBook Pro. I've never had this problem before. Any ideas on how to fix this? I like to shuffle my playlists.
Hi All... I just installed the Sonos controller on my new iPhone 8. First time I have ever had an iOS device. When I connected the Sonos app to Spotify, it automatically connected to an account (required no login). Unfortunately it connected to the wrong account. It appears to be my son's Spotify account. I have never logged into his account before, ever, on any device I own so not sure why it would connect to his. I also connected to Pandora and it found my Pandora account without issue (never required a login) here either. I have the Spotify app installed on the same device and it is logged into my account correctly. I cannot find a setting anywhere to change this. Any help would be appreciated.
The latest update work like crap. Please fix it!
It used to be you could open the sonos app and use your volume hard buttons to control volume. This now seems to be disabled and you can only do it with the GUI slider. I hope that's not a permanent change? The hard button control is hands down the easiest way to control you system volume without having to use two hands and stare at the screen. In my sonos system sales I'm always showing people the hard button volume and everyone loves it. Please bring it back!!!! Ok. So I just tested further. It looks like ver 4.3 on iPhone 5 the hard buttons still work. Ver 4.3 on iPhone 5s the buttons are not working. Will test iphone when I get home.
I tried to search the community, but was not finding anything. My boss and I both have Sonos Play:1 speakers. Mine is not Alexa/Echo enabled, and I am not sure if hers is. She just sent me a message that my music (Sonos streaming radio) is playing through her speaker and she can't get her own items to play. How do I either 1) completely disconnect and just take the speaker home, or 2) figure out how to allow us to have independent streams? Thanks!
I guess this has come up before but when I find an album I want to add I have to put it into play mode then I can "save" and edit the album or add the artist name so far so good, how can I do this without having to put into play mode? If i am listening to music and want to add albums I cant without playing them. Yes I can add playlist but that creates a new playlist each time I just want a each album listed individual. Hope this makes sense.
For reference, I use Google Music... Quick question: when I'm viewing a playlist (so in a specific playlist, not just viewing all of my playlists), to the upper right I get the three dot menu option that allows me to "play now", "play next", "add to end of queue", etc. I get six useful options. If I'm in a genre, and view a specific genre, and click that same menu option, all I get is the option to "Add to My Sonos." It doesn't allow me to add songs to a queue or to create quick and easy playlists. Why not give that same functionality that I get from my playlists view to genres, artists, etc.? Is this simply an oversight that can be corrected?
Hi, could you please help me to remove myself from the beta program? I've tried the advice and removed myself off the beta website and reinstalled the app, but it still won't allow me to update without an email, which I never seem to receive. Any help would be appreciated
Exactly as the title suggests. IPhone running the latest IOS, sonos app updated this morning, still can't use trueplay.
Sometimes when i leave my house i forgot to stop the music playing. Is it a option that when your wifi disconnects while your music is playing, you get a alert. You can turnback to house and stop the music.
OK, what am I missing, I'm sure to add a Sonos Playlist to the Favourites menu you simply accessed the menu at the end of the line and choose 'Add to Favourites'? I now can't see how to do it from anywhere in the desktop controller or Android app. There is now an 'Add to Sonos Playlist' option (as shown in the attachment) which makes no sense as it is a Playlist (?!), but otherwise I'm either going senile, mad or both. Can someone please direct me?
Can't seem to use desktop controller on Mac or iPad when my iPhone is out of the house. Message states my iPhone isn't found. Have i set the other controller apps up incorrectly?
I've had a Sonos system for a couple of months now, and already, "my Sonos" will no longer hold any more albums or playlists. Is there a simple work-around for this problem? Is that what "My Cloud Home" and "Plex" are for, since both are add-on services for Sonos?
Hi For Some Reason When Im Turning Up My Sonos 5.1 Surround System I Push The Volume Button Up Once Then The Sonos System Turns All The Way Up Then I Try Turning It Down It Stays All The Way Up I Would Have To Physically Walk To My Sonos Devices To Turn Them Down Or On The App An I Find That To Be Very Annoying How Do I Fix This Problem
I have been using a Play 5 with a Chromecast audio in the aux input to cast audio from my Android phone for a while now, recently casting services like Spotify and iplayer have stopped working - possibly because Google Chrome / Spotify / Sonos app are fighting for control? To give a couple of examples: If I open the Spotify app I can cast to the Sonos but after a little while control via the Spotify app stops working (the audio keeps playing but I am unable to play / pause etc) if I try to play a new track via Spotify it either plays through my phone or gives a message that another device is already casting and force quitting the Spotify app seems to be the only solution. In a similar way casting from the iPlayer radio app works for a few seconds but then the audio disappears, this time I can get audio control back by going into Sonos and stopping / starting the line in source. I have a feeling that this is all caused by a recent update to google home as this is now
So Spence says sonos are thinking of making sonos updates automatic. Maybe it was all the emails he got over the death of the Cr100 Most of my other stuff does auto updates, skyQ, google home, LG tv you can toggle on or off. (Not playstation4 you still have to agree.) Auto updatest ensures only 1 version of the software is being used out there, latest security patches, easier support etc etc . People asked for a legacy version for their Cr100, and some have tried to lock down to keep them working. That would not be as easy with auto updates, as sonos could in effect sneak them out at the dead of night. With auto updates, Sonos could ensure all current customers could always buy new stuff, and not isolate themselves. On the down side, you would come home one day and find your controller no longer is supported, and no longer works as there was an update while you were out the house.
Hi, I have recently installed the sonos app on my Samsung g7. It all works great except when I want to play music from my device: no file appear, even when I have mp3 files in my Music folder. I have tried other location but nothing works. I have also removed and reinstalled the app and it didn't work eighter. Thanks for your help!
Sonos is missing a CRUCIAL feature that really lessens the quality of the Sonos experience. By using the Sonos app on a smart phone, it is not possible to play all songs from an artist without manually going in and adding all the albums to the end of the playlist queue. This has been confirmed by a Sonos rep. A huuuge lack and a loss that should be rectified ASAP.
Evening all, My first post here, and I am a SONOS novice so please bear with me... I hope I am posting in the right place. Currently have a Play 5 and Play 3 and in the process of installing wireless speakers throughout the house. I have been given a CR200 controller as a gift that I really want to add to my system. I am currently just seeing the error message of “Searching for Somos products..... the network configuration for this controller has changed” Can anyone help me with this please? Thanks in advance 🙂
I have successfully imported all of my iTunes playlists into Sonos. However, when I select an imported playlist to add to my queue, Sonos auto-resorts the songs by artist, not by album. I'd like to hear the songs by album, not artist. For example: I have an imported playlist called "Soundtracks - Top Rated". When I add this imported playlist to my Sonos queue, Sonos resorts all of the songs by artist, not by soundtrack. So the songs are mixed, regardless of the movie/play soundtrack. How do I sort the selected queue to play by album so I hear the full soundtrack as it was intended, not by artist? Thank you.
I am one of those few people who does get upset when I get the feeling my privacy is compromised by hard- or software firms, so after following a recent discussion on this forum (in which the person who expressed a concern was extremely badly treated by the community) I thought I would turn to Sonos directly with 3 very specific questions which follow: "My main issue/question is whether or not any record is kept of what music I listen to? I listen almost exclusively to my own music (not streaming services who obviously know what I am listening to) and that is what my question refers to. My second concern is how I can opt out of data collected about when and how long I use particular Sonos components. This provides you and whoever happens to hack you successfully with data about when I am at home which I would not want to share with anyone. Finally, your website shows how I can opt out of some data collection by going to the Advanced Settings on my iOS app and swi
I added an album to my itunes. I went to Sonos to update my music library. Afterwords, the album was not in Sonos. I restarted the system and updated the library. No new album. I deleted the music folder from my PC on my Sonos system and then readded it. Still no new album. There seems to be no way to get new music on Sonos. Very frustrating. I did a search for a few of the songs. They are not found within the Sonos system.
Hi! I saw that today Google has announced the launching of Google Home officially with Google Assistant in Spanish. Are there plans to bring Google Home to Spain?
Has. By one else noticed their phones battery draining after the latest App upgrade. Sonos has jumped to the top of my list showing app and battery usage. My phone has suffered significantly since the last upgrade and I’m having to quite the app as soon as I have interacted with the system in order to maintain battery for the day. Before this upgrade I never had any battery issues
I have several Sonos speakers. I always change the volume for certain speakers in the group for better stereo sound. Is there a way to setup group volume presets? Any one know of any 3rd party apps that might do this?
