Controllers and Music services

Play 3 device. Both myself and husband linked. Both have Amazon music, mine is unlimited. Husband system owner.whilst Amazon music shows on content and can select, it won’t play choice (plays other random choices instead). I don’t know if it’s my unlimited account or not. Sonos radio works but other than that cannot chose any music.  can I log in using system owner (husband) to add content? Is there an additional unlimited function. If so will I be able to use it if log in as system owner who isn’t me? Not sure if linked to email or just can use from device if logged in. 

Previously, when I am playing a track from a Pandora station, Sonos displays <song title> on Pandora.  Now it says <song title> on Napster.  What caused this change, and what does Napster have to do with my Pandora service?

What I want to do is (or should be) very simple. I want to be able to browse my local library, choose a folder, and play the music in that folder and it's sub folders or add the music in that folder and it's sub folders to the queue.It’s very simple. It's something that some very basic audio playing apps can do. Yet 7 months after the disastrous app update it's still something I cannot do with the Sonos app. PLEASE FIX IT 😡

Hi, I have a question: when I play a (shuffled) playlist in the new (dreaded!) app and open the queue to see where I am and what the next couple of songs will be, I never see the actual playing song but always have to start from the top of the list and then have to scroll down to find the playing number. So very annoying!Is this a known error of the new app (in the ‘old’ app I always directly saw the playing song in the que)?I hope I made sense with my English… :-)

Hi, our Sonos One speakers stopped playing local nz radio around ten days ago. We use Alexa for voice control. She ahappily confirms/repeats our demand for play radio national on IHeart radio, but only silence with static clicks follows. Radio fine with tune in and both, IHeart and tune in are playing radio national nz on our Amazon echo dot, too. Problem based in Sonia or with IHeart radio.

Hi Sonos team, I am using a Sonos Beam (gen2) and am not happy with the result of Trueplay. I would much prefer to do the tuning myself, based on acoustic measurements with a measuring microphone and REW software. This would require the PEQs becoming available to be manually adjusted by the user through the Sonos app. Is this functionality planned, e.g. by enabling an “expert setup mode”? When can we expect this functionality being deployed? 

Hi . When I open up the app the default language is no longer English. Same with email messages received . How do I change ? 

Would it be possible to add a feature in a future update of the Sonos app that allows users to easily switch between surround mode and full use of the surround speakers without having to reconfigure them? For example, a toggle switch to enable or disable surround mode?

How can I get all of my products running on one app? This is so frustrating? My gen 1 Sonos 5’s are on the sonos1 app and the rest of my products are on the newer app

It’s been months and I still don’t see where I can create a playlist or add to one that I had made with the old app. Am I missing it - because it used to be very easy to create a playlist from the music library for party’s? 

Is it still not available for iPad Air m2 to use Trueplay? Seems it’s been a long time already. Or do I miss something?

I am having continued problems with my Sonos system. I cannot select or play any of my speakers using the app despite having reset the entire system and started again. I have also updated the network on each product.  in the system screen the products shown have no volume slider and don’t display the last thing played. I used to be able to use Alexa to play my speakers instead of the app, but now Alexa repeats my request and says the content is playing but the speaker remains silent. also a NEW issue today is that the Roam I have in the kitchen is not showing. I have done a factory reset and gone through and completed the whole process is adding it as a new speaker which the app said was successfully completed, but amazingly it still does not show as part of my system. what is going on !!! It is shocking that supposedly premium plug and play consumer products can be so buggy they are unusable. I am using the IOS vers

HalloIn der alten Version der App konnte man bei gesperrtem Bildschirm die Musik anhalten und die Lautstärke regulieren. Ebenso wurde in der Statusleiste diese Möglichkeit geboten. Die App hat alle Freigaben erhalten. Wir kann man das in der neuen Version der App realisieren, um schnell Musik ausschalten zu können? Es stresst wenn man angerufen ist und am anderen Ende des Raumes ist. Da ist es oft einfacher zur Box zu rennen um sie auszuschalten statt sie über die App zu steuern.Weiteres Thema: Wenn man die Musik über den Button am Gerät startet ist es umständlich die App erst zu starten und dann den umständlichen Weg zu finden wie man den richtigen Raum anwählt. Gibt es da einen besseren Weg? Kann man die App im Hintergrund auf den eingebundenen Geräten automatisch starten wenn die Bos eingeschaltet wird am Gerät?  Zudem den richtigen Raum vorwählen? Wenn man dann noch schnell die Musik über den Sperrbildschirm kontrollieren kann, wäre die App perfekt. 

What are the benefits of Sonos Premium subscription?

I am a long time Sonos customer from the start. I have gone through all the various application updates and the full redesign that happened in 2024 was by far the worst. Where to start? The greatest issue is latency. The slow response controlling both hardware (speakers) and software (streaming services) makes it extremely frustrating to use.Example 1: When I want to turn down the volume from the application, it can sometimes take a full minute between moving the volume slider to the physical response. Same with pausing or switching a song.Example 2: When I add a speaker to a group, I sometimes have to add several times before that speaker responds. Has anyone else experienced these issues?

I do not see a topic with the same question. So I am wondering if I only have this issue with the new app (Android release 80.07.05). I cannot search within all services. In case I select a single service like Deezer or Soundcloud and then do a search, I then get the result from that service. But searching within all services results in an error showing the “Check service status”. Odd though, I did a clean install and the problem was solved. The next day the same issue occurs. The tested the search all service option on https://play.sonos.com and it works as it should be.Unfortunately the app still doesn't.

I’ve connected my Move 2 via the MacOS app and am able to play music from my Mac.  I can’t seem to get it to connect on my iPhone using the iOS App.  It was working and was playing Spotify from my phone onto Move 2 but when I closed App and went back in it’s now showing Not Connected and has options to Add Speaker or Component or joint an existing system.  I can’t get either of them to work.  This has been a nightmare set up for something that should be so straightforward.  Not a good start for Sonos.

I have connected my Sonos Beam gen2 to my phone. All good. How can another member of the family control the device streaming and adjusting equalizer from his own phone?

Hello everyoneIs it possible to switch between work configurations?For example - to work in a surround configuration with 3 speakers (gen bem 2 + 2 era 100) **and at the push of a button** play stereo on 2 speakers (the same 2 speakers from the previous configuration, 2era100)

Several of my compilations (stored for many years on a NAS) now show up ‘empty’ like this in the new app (also missing album art)… I am not able to play them thru the app. However, with the pc controller I can play them normally (even though the order of songs is random). (With SonoPhone I can play the whole compilation but not the songs individually?). What is going on… miss the old app so much. (‘Error - try again’ it says in Danish). I enclose tags from Mediamonkey.  

Hey all!Can I save settings for different usage in the iOS app? Like a preset for “Music”, “Movies”, Podcasts” etc?How is that done so I don´t have to go into settings each time to adjust the settings for each usage. 

Tripped over this (minor) issue whilst fighting a different problem: SETUP:   Mac running Sonos Controller 16.4.2.music (nee iTunes) library lives on the Mac (Users/dan/music/iTunes)iTunes library exported to "iTunes Music Library.xml"Mac iTunes file structure entirely copied to USB drive hanging off router (\\NASMOUNT\iTunes)Sonos library location only knows \\NASMOUNT\iTunes. This has been working for years. I recently noticed that Sonos had a couple of extra imported playlists: Library and Music. They each appear to contain all songs. Reading posts here, it sounds like Sonos no longer needs the XML file, so I tried different variations. 1) updating library after deleting  xml file on the NAS:library and music are created in imported playlists, my imported playlists are there.xml file on Mac was modified. this was surprising, as I wasn't aware Sonos knew about the Mac iT

I am trying to downgrade S2 to S1. I hit “switch to s1” and nothing happens??what now?

When if ever will i be able to play DRM again. Trying to convert my library isn’t easy and it hasn’t worked with Apple music like the articles say. Sometimes it creates a new version of a song that  might play . Sometimes it doesn’t. Problem not solved. I want to know who else to use because I have friends about to invest in Sonos and i told  them not to buy  whatever else is on the market. I’ve probably wasted 10k. There should be an option to use old software of away. I want my money back. I’ve been conned.
