Dolby Atmos clicking off

I have been having an issue for months where during every third song while streaming Apple Music, Dolby Atmos clicks off and the song reverts to just stereo. I either have to pause the song and restart or back the song up to the beginning to re-enable Atmos. I can’t believe the engineers aren’t aware of this issue. It is extremely aggravating. It’s always something with this app.  I have Arc Ultra, Era 300’s, and Sub gen 3.

I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I wonder if there is any solution to this in the works? I’m having the same issue with a pair or stereo Era 300s. Apple Music will go for around 3 tracks or so in Dolby Atmos, then randomly drop back to stereo. Restarting the track will put me back into Atmos. Not an internet issue - plenty of bandwidth, and tried different routers. I can see several reports on Reddit with users who have the same issue.

When using Apple Music+ in the Sonos app, the Dolby Atmos badge disappears after every two or three songs and the sound changes to normal stereo. If I press pause and then play, the sound goes back to Atmos. What's the problem?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble playing Atmos content from Apple Music on your Sonos system. We're currently aware of an issue where, after some time, home theater products no longer show the Atmos badge and play the content in lower quality.

This is currently being looked into by our colleagues, but we don't have an estimated date for when it will be fixed. As soon as I know more, I'll keep you updated in this thread.
