Hi ThereI have an issue with my Sonos speakers disappearing while playing music. I have a Beam, One and Play:1 in my lounge/dining room. The Beam is wired to my router, while the other two work over wifi. When I play music on either the Beam or the One individually (or any one or more of those speakers combined with the Play:1) after a few songs the music suddenly stops and the speakers disappear from both the Sonos App and Spotify, and I usually have to reset them or unplug and leave them for a bit to get them back. It doesn’t matter whether I play music via Alexa (enabled on the Beam but not the One) or via my phone - the music plays for a bit and then just stops. I’ve been having this problem with the Beam for about two years, and eventually gave up playing music on it and instead just used the Play:1. However, I bought a One last week, which is having the same problem and, given the money I’ve invested, I’d really like to use them! Interestingly, I never have this problem with the
Does everyone have the same experience as I do?We have a perfectly decent Wi-Fi service – about 32 Mb/s, but as soon as I stream anything, either via the airplay or the Sonos app or not, then the Internet crumbles to a halt. I sometimes have to switch it off just to move from one page to the next.Surely this can’t be how it’s meant to be?!?
LG oled optical out to playbar to surrounds and sub. Eeros router. When starting or switching stations sound is distorted for a few seconds to a minute. Stops immediately if I turn of surrrounds. Please help. Thanks
Hi I have a Sonos Beam and 2 play ones as surrounds. I also have a connect amp and would like to use it with a third party powered sub. Would this work as a 5.1 setup and would the sub volume work with the beam as its a powered sub and it has its own volume. I have a red and white rca line input, would I need a 1-Male from the connect app a to 2-Male RCA Audio Cable. Thank you.
Recently my connect amp would power up for a second then the light would go dark. Opened up a ticket and they came up with a “power failure”. The call center said I will need to replace my “old” unit for a new AMP. The cost will be $459! I paid $500+ for the Connect AMP in 2016 and didn't power it up until April 2017 when we moved into the house. Where is the reliability? There is no servicing of the Connect AMP???There are no authorized service center’s for these units. This seems super shady! This is the kind of shady tactics State’s Attourney Generals like to know about. I have no less than 8 Sonos units in our home. Heck, the Play 3 we purchased back on 2011 and it still going!
recently my playlist started skipping over any song from amazon music, but would play all others on the playlist. when i select a single song/album to play from amazon music it plays fine. large playlist, so it would be a pain to replace all amazon songs on it with other services…. any help would be greatly appreciated, thxthe error im getting is “sonos unable to connect to amazon music”
Bonjour, je viens de faire l’acquisition d’une sonos one d’occasion que j’ai intégré à mon réseau (arc + sub, ainsi que 4 sonos one à différents endroits de ma maison). Mon système a toujours bien fonctionné historiquement.
My sonos system is dropping out while playing both Spotify and Tidal. It sometimes comes back to the same track, other times skips to the next track and other times jutters then completly dies. I have tried resetting routers, hard wiring one in to my ethernet but nothing seems to resolve. My diagnostic number is 888534667
I have an Amp connected to speakers on a deck and today there was no sound coming from the speakers. On the app everything looks like the Amp is connected as it’s indicating music is playing. i checked the volume and to make sure it was not muted and it wasn’t. I tested the speakers by connecting them to another Sonos amp and the music was no playing. I then tried to connect the Amp with the issue to another set of speakers and still no sound but looks like music was playing on the app. Wire’s are connected via the provided screw clamps I removed those clamps wiped out the area and then connected the speaker wires to banana plugs and still no sound. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Amp was purchased in 2019.
My Sonos system (Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 (with pretty much useless Alexa built in)) is constantly going offline. It is really annoying. My internet is very fast and the computer that I am using is an i7. Any suggestions on how I can at least reduce the frequency of this happening? Thanks.
I have a backyard Sonos SL and a Garage Sonos one. I use the Sonos app to play music from my synology NAS in my garage regularly. I do not use DS Audio at all. Yet somehow somewhat regularly, but always when I’m not home, my backyard Sonos starts randomly playing music from my Synology NAS. It never happens on my Garage Sonos where I actually stream that music to. Support is no use as I’m not home at the time so can’t send a diagnostic report of any use to them. I saw another post about DS Audio being the problem but since I don’t even have it on my phone or iPad that can’t be it. Anyone else see this behavior and have any ideas?
After the latest update today I can not end a session started from Spotify. On one of my speakers it reads session started from Spotify. I used to be able to click on the speaker and then click end session started from Spotify. Now when I click the speaker it simply goes to Spotify app.
I have an Amp in my living room, which is connected to an eero router via Ethernet and a Symfonisk in my bathroom connected to sonosnet. The bathroom speaker is involved in a couple of HomeKit scenes. Whenever one of the scenes is triggered, the Sonos app will show both devices as grouped, but sound only plays in the bathroom. This is not necessarily a problem, but it seems that they’re then never ungrouped. As a result, if we try to airplay music from a HomePod mini in the living room later, nothing will play until they are manually ungrouped. Does this sound like expected behavior? I would really like them to never become grouped in the first place. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening?
I recently had to change my main email address and so changed it in my Sonos account. This automatically changed it for the community login as well but I have lost all my community topic history.Does anyone know how I can get it back….? Logging in with the old email no longer works...🙁
This has been going on ever since the Sonos app updated about 3wks ago. My system has not changed. Everything worked fine and now it doesn’t. I have tried Sonos Tech Support and they have been infinitely frustrating. The Issue: I play my records, sometimes it plays audio, but most of the time it doesn’t. I hit stop then play on app then audio plays through Arc only then it quits playing and spits/sputters audio randomly. Then I unplug everything for 1min, wait for everything to reconnect and audio works fine until I the next time I want to play my records. My System:2 - One SLArcSub Gen 3PortU-Turn Orbit TurntableU-Turn Pluto PreampGoogle Nest Wifi RouterNetgear Nighthawk CM1100 ModemInfinity 300Mbps internet service. The Google Nest Wifi router is ethernet cable connected to the Arc.Port Source level is Level 2Line Out Level is VariableAutoplay is set up for my TV Room with has the SLs/Arc/Sub; Autoplay Volume is at 38%Audio Compression is UncompressedEverything worked perfectly until t
Hello, there are times which I want to use my Sonos speakers for music only and allow my child to use the television to watch cartoons with the samsung tv speakers (Samsung qled 2021 model). The trouble is that even if I select in the TV “TV SPEAKERS” instead of “E-ARC”, it will play sound through tv speakers 2-3 seconds only and then the tv will connect again to the Sonos Arc.Is it a way to avoid this?In the settings inside Sonos app I have found an “auto connect tv audio” parameters, which it only don’t stop the music reproduction from Sonos speakers if playing but the tv will stay muted with Sonos output anyway. Is it a know bug?
I have got an arc+two symphonisk’s+sub. Is there a way to make only sound two symphonisk’s+sub without having to remove ARC from the configuration? Sometimes I have got my children in front of the tv and I want to keep disabled arc only, but reproducing music through two symphonisk’s+sub without affecting the configuration. Anyone else with this issue?
Since I bought the device the app is not working properly, despite dozens of updates. When I play music from my device it stops playing after one or two songs, I have to turn the screen on to get it back playing. I excluded the Sonos app from suspension and other energy saving settings, to no avail. Also the songs after a while don't update on the song screen, the buttons work, but the displayed song is still the same even after several songs have played. The router has been updated, rebooted, is 20 cm from the Sonos, the problem is on all my Android devices, A11 and A12, everything updated. In the whole the sound is great, but the app is a pain in the x, it never worked properly and probably never will. I'm so disappointed, I almost always use the phones speakers or the Galaxy buds to listen to music. But if someone has more suggestions I'd be glad to try.
I have a Playbar with sub and two One SL set up for my home theater. Every few days the right speaker goes missing in the app. I can typically readd it by going through the missing device flow in the app and unplugging it. It’s really a hassle. The Playbar is hardwired with ethernet. I’ve already tried switching between SonosNet and WiFi setup but it makes no difference. Also switched left and right speaker and it’s still getting dropped, so I doubt it’s the speaker hardware. Diagnostics submitted 590785251
I have just installed an Eero system. I’ve plugged my old Netgear N600 router (with wifi disabled) into the Eero gateway to provide additional ports for ethernet devices and for a telephone jack. These are all working fine except for my Sonos system (via a Boost), which the Sonos app can no longer find. I’m dimly aware that my Netgear router may need to be reconfigured to avoid conflicts. Can you advise please?
I updated my cover art on my music using my Mac’s Music app over a year ago. It shows correctly in iCloud, MacOS, iPadOS, and iOS. All apps and OS are up to date and not in beta. Sonos shows a very old album image that is irritating. I don’t connect to my library directly in Sonos. I use Apple Music, then My Music. There are so many things that are frustrating in the Sonos app. This is absurd though. The problem is not in Apple Music but in the app. Is there a way to refresh the app’s album data?
I’ve read all the other forum posts related to this topic and couldn’t find a resolution. Sonos, please help us out here! When I Airplay movies and shows from my 2020 iMac to my Apple TV to my Sonos speakers, it works great. I get picture and sound. Wonderful. When I try to use Airplay screen mirroring to do the same, I get picture, but no sound. It doesn’t matter what device I try (2013 MacBook, 2020 iMac, iPhones, iPad…), I get picture but no sound. I have hung onto my clunky old wired speakers for this reason. Why do I still have to use my old junk speakers half the time when I have my nice new expensive Sonos speakers? Please help!
Hello,On several occasions when carrying out normal tasks my Sonos system seems to reset, when this happens all my devices and music services are no longer in the app and need to be added again as if I am an all new user. This has happened when:I change my wifi connection - for example I have got a new router, so have a new wifi name and password I have added a new device to the system - for example I added a second roam to my system recently and everything was reset. It’s a huge inconvenience to have this happen, what am I doing wrong? Is there any way to avoid this happening? Thanks
So yet again today I cannot see my playlists. Even tried my Android phone, which used to see them. This bug must be 6months old at least and we’ve had at least three updates but still it’s there.
Hi,I was slowly but steadily getting more problems with Sonos. First the radio was not working when I set up my alarm clock. Then the music did not start to play from time to time. In the end the alarm clock stopped working all together (not even with the “default sound”) and it was not possible to start any music.I was searching for updates but I got error codes 1101 all the time. I could see my speaker in the router dashboard though.I tried a lot of “restart your router”, “restart your speaker”, “set it to fixed channels trying all the different combinations” etc. spending days on it and nothing worked. My router is a new fritz box generation with standard setup.Eventually, I wanted to do a clean reset now and send all my speaker back to factory settings and wanted to set them up from the start. However, I cannot. When I log into my old account it still has all my speaker listet and when I want to use it for a new setup it tells me “error 1101” again. I tried setting up a new account
