I’m getting so fed up. I’m using a TP-Link Deco M5 mesh system and although it does a great job for everything else, Sonos seams to really hate it. When I say hate it, it literally won’t find anything?I’ve gone down the tech support option - got cut off of course🤬Ive rebooted the router. I’ve rebooted the Deco’s and rebooted all the speakers and amp. Ive gone to put a bit of music on and obviously I can’t connect to any speakers. Im so fed up of this. Any help would be great fully appreciated.
Just moved into a new home that has a set of ceiling speakers and a set of outdoor speakers already in place. I picked up a Sonos Amp with the hopes of tapping into those existing speakers. I already have a Playbar and two Sonos Ones. The specs on the outdoor speakers are Episode brand ES-AW-5, 4 ohm, 120 watt. I don’t know what the ceiling speakers are at this time. I’m not getting any sound out of either set, but it looks like the specs of the speakers don’t match up with what the AMP requires. I just wanted to confirm that this is in fact the issue, and if so, does anyone have any ideas on any way to utilize these existing speakers within the Sonos environment somehow.Thanks.
Hello. I have sent a sonos amp for a repair im a small shop and i think the guy missed up and now he doesnt know what was the part number.I wonder if someone have a clear pic of this board.
I use emojis in the name of the Sonos speakers to help my son, who cannot read, identify which speaker is which (mainly used via Airplay). However, whilst emojis are accepted in the app, and appear as expected in the speaker name, they periodically disappear and revert to non-emoji adorned names. Why?
I am having some connection issues with my Beam.It was working fine whilst watching SkyQ on my Phillips Ambilight TV, I then switched to my Zidoo android box with no issues but on changing sources back to SkyQ again the Beam seems to be disconnected and “TV Speakers Active” notification.I have remedied this by power cycling but there must be a better way to adjust settings somewhere save me having to power cycle every time to get the connection setup again?
Sonos Play:5 Gen 2. (Version 13). Play5 is configured to auto detect line in.Speaker unplugged and moved to an area with no wifi. Speaker plugged in. Phone sourcing to Aux in produces music (all is good). Pause play on phone. Restart play on phone, no music from Play5. Unplug of phone confirms sounds is playing from phone Plug phone back in to Play5, reboot phone (tic, toc, tic, toc) On boot, music plays. Questions -- Can the color of the Play5 indicators provide clue to issue? Is there a way to force the Play5 to recapture the stream from Aux input? I assume Play5 sees Aux input gone, and does not re-acquire aux input stream when it restarts. Is there a method to allow music to pause on the iphone and restart (without the long, long reboot of the iphone)?
My Sonos Amp is constantly rebooting. It never did this before and nothing has changed in years. Same network, same configuration. I can hear it clicking, then a slow flashing white light, then a solid white light for a short period. Then it turns off (click) and repeats. Never stops. It is not hot whatsoever. I performed a factory reset and the behavior is stillthe same.Diagnostic number 757351388 generated quickly after a reboot and solid white.
I have a five and an so one. I have an app on my iPhone and an app on my iPad. I can connect to both speakers through AirPlay most of the time. My problem is the app on the iPhone has the five added to it. The app on the iPad has the so one added to it but for some reason I can’t add my five to the iPad’s app and the sl one to the iPhone’s app. When I try to connect them it tells me to adjust my router settings. This can’t be the issue because both speakers are connected to the app just on different devices. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a remedy?
Unable to play Music through any device. I have tried with no luck:resetting the router resetting the every Sonos speaker (at the same time) deleting my app and reinstalling it
Hi I’m new here and the tv is coming through my Beam but not my Sonos one’s.I’m not technical at all and don’t know what to do.Also can’t seem to access the app on my phone.Any help really apreciated thank you
My Sonos keep disconnecting from the WiFi My iPad and iPhone is on the WiFi but Sono speakers can’t be found the only solution I found is rebooting the router but it is getting very annoying having to do this all the time.1: why does my sono “leave” the WiFi?2: what is the permanent solution to fix this? thanks
I’ve seen some comments on this but none exactly matching mine so hopefully someone can help.My home setup -AMP and 4 connect amps and one connect to various rooms via ethernet cable and all direct to the speakers. The connect though is wired to high end mono block amplifiers which are then connected to speakers. The main source of music is on a Synergy NAS with apple lossless and flac files. I also use Spotify, Apple Music and some radio stations. All work except the high end system which used to work fine. If I start music sometimes I get one or 2 seconds then silence. If I pull out the ethernet Cat 5 cable, I sometimes then get one or 2 seconds which leads me to believe it is a buffering problem but I have no clue.I’ve rebooted, played around with settings but no luck. I don’t know if upgrading ti the latest connect will do the trick but I’ve read reviews that the sound quality is vastly closed unless you turn off volume controls which I don’t want to do. Any ideas?
I am connecting to a network and Sonos 2 that I don’t use that often. Coincidentally i did an iPhone security update last night. The Sonos system is working fine from my Mac, but the iPhone keeps saying that it is not connected to Wifi (the Sonos app says that). I have reset the Sonos app, restarted my phone, deleted the Sonos app and re-added it. Still no luck.Is anyone else having trouble with recent iphone updates?
Dear allSince all messages on the topic I found were closed for further comments, I’m opening a new message. I’m using both Deezer and Qobuz and while streaming, lots of songs (not all) are cuts at the end.Looks like the system is pre-uploading the next song but then… cut current one… not so nice.I bought Sonos for the super practical side and sound quality and I bought a Qobuz subscription to enjoy high res sound. I sent a diagnostic: 1474760468 Thanks for your help. Regards C.
I have 10 Sonos speakers in various rooms, 9 of which are usually played together as a group. (There’s also a Sonos Connect that connects to a receiver for wired speakers, but even when that’s turned off this problem persists, so I’ll ignore that.)Been using the system for several years and the same problems have been there the whole time. Just finally wanted to do something about it.Often, when I first start playing something (such as choosing a song from Apple Music on my phone), it will start playing on some speakers, then some speakers will cut out for a few moments, then return, and then everything is fine. Sometimes at some point it’ll just abruptly stop, perhaps hours later, but usually it’s fine. I set an alarm every night to turn on white noise for sleep. Sometimes after a few seconds the white noise cuts out, and instead it starts playing the Sonos standard alarm chime instead for some reason. That’s rare, but it happens. The app (whatever the latest one is, with the brownish/
Hey everyone, I just started noticing an issue this morning in my Sonos app and I’m wondering if anyone else is running into this issue. When I start a shuffle play, the album artwork displays and the playback time moves like normal. However, when it reaches the end of the track, the artwork will not update to the new song, and the playbar hangs at the end of the previous track. It’s as though the system moves on to the next track, but the new track information doesn’t get processed/come in to the app. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.
Like the title says, the Sonos 2 app barely works on my Moto G Power running Android 10. It will work for a few minutes then suddenly not be able to connect. I have to force stop and clear the storage/cache then reconnect to the system to get it work again. Sometimes I have to try to reconnect multiple times. Once it is reconnected it will work for 5-10 minutes then stop connecting. I’ve uninstalled and installed the app multiple times. I’ve deleted all my apps to see if there was a conflict with another app. I have no problem connecting with any other phone/device in my house. It is only my Moto G Power that is unable to consistently connect which is an annoyance because it is my main device/phone. I’ve had the phone for about 6 months and it worked fine on it up until a week ago. Any recommendations/fixes?
This is some sort of post-topic to this: I got myself a splitter as suggested in the above topic and have a partial success as I’m getting 5.1 sound on the optical output of the splitter for my cable box. However I’m not getting 5.1 when I plug in my Chromecast and cast Nextflix on it. Per this: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/23924 for proper 5.1 sound from Netflix I should be getting 5.1 from Chromecast which is not happening, at least when I use it with the splitter. Do you guys think this is a Chromecast issue, Netflix issue, splitter issue or a combination of those? Any ideas appreciated, thanks!
Until Mid March I was able to use Spotify via Alexa on my Sonos One.I could do this in the usual way ‘ Alexa play XXXX’ and it would respond with ‘Playing XXX from Spotify’Now whenever I ask Alexa ‘Alexa play XXXXX’ I get told ‘ Heres a station you might like for XXXXX’ and its not spotify. If I then ask ‘Alexa Play Spotify’ it tells me I need to enable the skill - I have sent instructions to your device.Strange thing is - it is enabled, and works find on the other 2 Echo Devices. So I followed the usual sequence:Disable skill Reboot Re-link App says - successfulI try spotify App and can play on the device by selection (so Spotify Connect is working)But I repeat:‘Alexa play XXXX’ and no longer works. and Alexa Play Spotify - You need to enable your account. I am confused and dont know what to try next - any ideas? It should be noted all other voice commands are working as expected.
I'm at my in-laws' for a few weeks, and I'm trying to help them set up and use their Sonos system. Unfortunately, the app on my phone just complains about not being able to find my home system - yeah, I'm not at home - that's actually not an error to fix. Is there really not a way to connect to another system if I'm in another house, they leg me on their Wi-Fi, and I have physical access to their devices? Based on some support content out there, it looks like this maybe used to be allowed, but the content is outdated. I'm using the S2 app.
Hello,I have a four Sonos system - move, 2 one, and a sound bar. We have the wireless bridge hardwired to the router. when I play a song, it’s telling me that the song can’t be added to the playlist (even though the song plays for a few seconds) and then that song stops and a random song starts to play everywhere. not sure what’s going on, but I ran a diagnostic: 658950129Any Ideas? thanks!
Hello all,I’ve had Sonos for a couple of months now and have been very happy. I started off with three Gen2s and a 5. Everything worked great. I recently purchases three Gen 1 SLs and noticed pretty quickly after there have been a lot of issues with speakers cutting in and out for various groups. Once I unplugged the old speakers the system is back up and running with zero issues. I did some research online but wanted to see if anyone ran into issues with integrating older speakers with the newer generations? Appreciate any assistance!
I know this has been asked before, but not for quite a while, so I’m hoping things may have improved, or there may be some more relevant recent experience. When I was having trouble getting shared folders working (my environment is Linux, which involves configuring SAMBA which is not exactly simple) it was suggested that setting up a UPnP media server instead should be easier. It turns out that setting up the UPnP server was easy under Linux, but getting the Sonos controller to see it is not!I chose to use Rygel as the server (rather than MiniDLNA, which has not been maintained for years), and it was almost trivial to set up. If I use VLC Media Player or Windows Media Player I can see the files on the server and play them remotely without a problem, but the Sonos controller does not display the server when I look at the Browse screen, or anywhere else for that matter. Can anyone suggest things to try that they think I may have missed? Unfortunately I don’t think Sonos document exactly wha
Just connected new Project turntable to amp with new cables it shipped with and sound quality is scratchy sounding and bad. Previously used a turntable with an older Sonos system and it sounded perfectly fine. Any suggestions?
So after updating to the new Controller - the connection to my Sonos system has become VERY unreliable. In all cases it is solved either by power cycling router or just waiting ages and keep trying. The router does drop out now and again - but even MS Teams can deal with glitches - so why is Sonos so bad at dealing with tiny blips in wifi ?Never happened on the old controller - seems like a windows vista moment for Sonos.
