We have a collection of Sonos speakers that include: three OneSL, one Beam, two Play1, one Play 3 and one Sub. While streaming from any service, Apple Music or Pandora for example, most of the time everything plays beautifully, but I have noticed that in the Kitchen, which has 2 OneSL paired, one or both will drop out and then kick back in a few moments later. Since I am not always in the kitchen, I do not know how often nor have I found anything to reproduce the situation, though it continues to occur. All speakers are WM: 0 via the wired Beam. While streaming from my Synology NAS I get frequent drop outs, or even some distorted sound and then it picks back up and plays fine after a few moments to a few minutes which creates for an unlistenable experience.Any suggestions?
I have one room that keeps dropping in my setup when grouping rooms together when a next song is picked / the playlist is changed. This means I can hear the other rooms start the next song correctly but this room will drop and pick up the song again after a couple of seconds. I need help solving this.
My venerable S1 ZP80s have suddenly stopped working when connected to my Nad amp via line out and phono.Generally, I'm getting close to zero volume even with the amp volume at max. Resetting gets me normal sound for 5-10 seconds and then it cuts out or drops back to residual levels. This is happening with two different ZP80s. The amp and speakers are proven to work, I've tried different phono cables and different amp ports and done multiple factory resets. No joy. Any ideas, or have my gen 1s finally been bricked? Updates are all done.
My Symfonisk bookshelf would not connect wired or WIFI. I followed the procedures and suggestion on this forum and still did not work. It would tell me it would connect to the temporary SONOS network and then says it cannot connect. I reset the system and now it would not recognize the device. I have my iPhone next to the speaker and still cannot find it. It is a pain the rear tryin to ge this speaker setup.
Why doesn't sonos allow for their sub to connect to their Amp? I want a Amp a pair of in ceiling speakers and a wireless sonos sub.
My iTunes library will not shuffle play I have less than 500 songs in my library tried all the usual fixes without succcess, looking for any tips.
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with Tune In. My issue is that if I start listening to Sonos in one room and want to group this room with another room, I lose my radio station for a period of time to a barrage of advertising on Tune In. This is particularly frustrating when listening to speech radio where you can lose the thread of a discussion. Can this be stopped?
I have 7 Sonos speakers. I am having trouble adding a speaker to my office. I can add it but it drops out after about 1 minute or less. If I move it to another area in the home I have no problems and it maintains a connection. I purchased a new one as I didn’t realize it could be the room and thought the older one (1 year old) was just glitchy. IT is the room where the router is located. Any tips? I am not super techie… Nicole
It seems to be an airplay related issue. If I airplay to the pair, they will sometimes just disappear. From the sonos app, from the list of airplay audio sinks - just gone. All my sonos products are wired: My Beam, both Ones - the Beam hasn’t had a single issue. The Pair of ones just sporadically decides that they’ve done their duty and patiently wait for me to crawl behind the cabinet to powercycle them. Without intervention, they reappear after about 5 minutes as unconfigured (?+R). If I wait for another ~10-20 minutes, they are back to normal.I have looked at the support info on port 1400. Interestingly, the left One is completely unresponsive: pings time out, it’s naturally gone from the connection matrix. Any ideas what this could be? The logs say nothing.
I have been struggling with this for some time. I’ve recently replaced my home WiFi with the latest NetGear Wifi 6e at a hefty price. I’ve played with positions. I’ve filed a support request and set a fixed channel on the Sonos. When all speaker are engaged there is constant drop outs and reconnects. Today I’ve had a specific problem that is puzzling. All speakers in the same room:TV Room w/ ARC, Sub, two Ones to make a surround Sonos One Independent Sonos One IndependentBy Independent I mean not stereo paired. When playing music on the TV Room and trying to add either Sonos One Independent it says “Unable to connect to device. Try again later.” I can select either Sonos One and play music on it. I can add the Sonos One’s and play music on those without issue. If I try to add the TV Room it again says “Unable to connect to device. Try again later.” So obviously all devices *can* play music. But putting them together to play the same music fails (the entire point of Sonos!).
I have a SYMFONISK bookshelf that constantly has problems connecting and playing music in wifi.I now have an ethernet connection to plug into it. I did a factory reset to start the whole process from the beginning. But now in the Sonos app I can’t delete the old system as it’s grayed out under the System setting. If I try the “Let’s fix it” it tries to walk me through connecting to the speaker’s internal network but it won't connect no matter if it’s connected with the ethernet or not. I tried to sign into my Sonos account online and just delete the system there but I can’t see a way to delete it. So basically how in the world do you just start from scratch with a system that has already been in the app. It seems so simple but it isn’t. My experience with this product has been terrible so I wonder is it just a bad single product or is this indicative of the Sonos experience. Seems overly complicated on many ways.
I use a Playbar with two Play 1 speakers as rears, (the Playbar is plugged into the router) and am hearing slight drop outs in audio that is labelled as Dolby Digital 2.0. I’m watching on an LG TV, with digital output set to “Auto”.This happens from a variety of sources, including an Nvidia Shield and the BBC iPlayer app on the TV. The problem seems to disppear if I select the digital output on the TV to “PCM”, but I am loathe to do this, as it will impact all audio the TV outputs and DTS, etc will be compromised unless I change the setting each time.I know there have been a few threads on this in the past, but all the ones I’ve read seem to be years old and have fizzled out without a solution - is this just an issue that Sonos never fixed? I’d like to add a subwoofer at some point soon, but not if this issue is still unresolved. Thanks in advance.
Hello,How come I can’t just open a support ticket on sonos.com?Anyway, I often experience that the sound from my Sonos Connect suddenly and briefly disappears.I have changed the RCA cable between the Sonos Connect and my amplifier, and I have switched off all my Sonos devices and the router. The Sonos Connect is connected by cable to the router via an ethernet switch. Could there be a problem with miy Sonos Connect? Could there be some temporary packet loss?In my router’s web interface SonosZP is marked with a yellow icon. Yellow means warning.Maybe changing ethernet cables would help?Would it help to hard reset my Sonos system? Other suggestions?Thank you in advance.Kind regards,Martin
Hey, I’m deepest music lover and artist. I want to add sonos music on backeend of my editing video Which I made with Alight Motion Application. I have attached sonos music with my video but when I start to play it the it start Stuck when I play It. Can I need to attached Any HDMI cable With the my phone to tranfer sonos sound in it?Waiting to your responce. Thanks.
As many of you already know there there are a good amount of problems with this new update.. I never had an issue before with voice or dialog before the update and the bass was pumping. That is pretty much the reason why I spent over 3 grand on my system. I wouldn't spend $500 on this system in its current condition. I get better bass response out of my bookshelf speakers. After spending almost 2 hours on the phone with Tech Support uninstalling, reinstalling and updating everything everything absolutely nothing has changed. I hope they get this figured out in a timely manner and get it back to at least as good as it was before this update otherwise I foresee a class action lawsuit in the making.
I have two Sonos One speakers on my home network. One in the living room, the other in my office. Plus, a google speaker in the kitchen.Whenever anyone uses the Sonos in the living room, it drops off the network for the other users. It takes ages to add the device back to the app. The scan loops forever, then it suddenly connects as it did before. Or not, and we give up.I've linked our accounts to the network.Does anybody know why? It's a massive pain.
If I throw Spotify from my iPhone to my Sonos One it will sometimes begin to distort and will completely cut off on my Arc. This does not seem to happen if I use the Sonos app, but that is not as comprehensive of a musical experience. This only recently (last few months) began to happen after having owned the speaker for almost two years.Any idea of a fix or am I resigned to using the Sonos app?
Redoing my kitchen and I just found out that the Sonos Ceiling speakers I bought (really Sonance) need to be connected to the Sonos AMP. Can I hardwire my AMP and mount it into the ceiling? Has anyone done this?Thank you!

Atmos and other surround signals being decoded as PCM stereo via [HDMI ARC] port on LG Dolby Atmos-enabled TV
I am having connectivity issues with Sonos connecting and playing XM Radio consistently. I have not had any connectivity issues in the past, and nothing has changed on my home network. I have hard booted the network (unplugged components), DSL modem, router, Sonos Boost, PC, phone. I still receive error messages. In 5 minutes, I received the following three messages: (1) the song isn’t encoded correctly, (2) it is encoded using an unsupported digital rites management system, and (3) the connection to Sonos has been lost. I am not having any other issues with my network. Please advise what could be the problems. Thank you!
I keep getting the above message on all my devices, it has been fine for years, nothing has changed just keep getting this message and not being able to connect. I did recently subscribe to sonos radio, I will be unsubscribing, that may help. I have removed the app from all my devices, started again, signed in, got it sorted (or so I thought) an hour later, same message.
I have a new Sonnos Connect. I did a hard reset and the light is flashing green. I can’t get the app to recognize the Connect. It does not find it. The Connect it hard wired to the router. Not sure what to do. Just need to have the app find the Connect.
Just an observation. The S1 app does not keep up with current song playing on S1 if you've invoked playback through Alexa. Is this the same on S2?.For me I have to kill the app and then restart for current song to be shown?.
Anyone else notice their app acting oddly? When I open the app on my iPhone ( 13pro and up to date ), the small now playing bar that slides up at the bottom ( shows what you were playing - where - and has a play button ), opens and closes multiple times … usually about 5-10 times, before stabilizing. Curious if this is an app issue or something on my side ...
