I have one room that keeps dropping in my setup when grouping rooms together when a next song is picked / the playlist is changed. This means I can hear the other rooms start the next song correctly but this room will drop and pick up the song again after a couple of seconds. I need help solving this.
Are you able to wire any of your speakers (not a Sub or surround) to your router with an ethernet cable?
Thanks for asking. I don’t have the option to wire these speakers to the router unfortunately as these are in my dining area. But I have a mesh system in the house and I don’t think the WiFi is weak where they are.
i am also noticing this issue only happens when the room is merged with other rooms. Stand alone the room works fine with no drops.
The WiFi may be strong but if Sonos speakers connect to different mesh nodes then this can create problems for Sonos, depending on tbe particular features of the mesh.
As an experiment, can you wire just ONE of your speakers by Ethernet to the primary mesh node, moving the speaker temporarily if necessary.
Wiring one speaker changes the way in which the whole Sonos system works.
When you group the speakers, start the group from the wired speaker.
Thanks for getting back to me. I somehow don’t get notified When people post here. My speakers are high up in corners of my rooms so no easy way to wire them to the mesh system I have. Let me try to start the music from one room first and then add this room later
