My Sonos keep disconnecting from the WiFi My iPad and iPhone is on the WiFi but Sono speakers can’t be found the only solution I found is rebooting the router but it is getting very annoying having to do this all the time.1: why does my sono “leave” the WiFi?2: what is the permanent solution to fix this? thanks
Dear allSince all messages on the topic I found were closed for further comments, I’m opening a new message. I’m using both Deezer and Qobuz and while streaming, lots of songs (not all) are cuts at the end.Looks like the system is pre-uploading the next song but then… cut current one… not so nice.I bought Sonos for the super practical side and sound quality and I bought a Qobuz subscription to enjoy high res sound. I sent a diagnostic: 1474760468 Thanks for your help. Regards C.
Over the last couple of days I’ve noticed the recently played list has stooped working most of the time. It randomly sometimes appears but usually either says that it’s not available right now or that their is no history to show. Everything else works fine and there are no network issues on any other device or software on the network. It’s a Sonos Amp.
HelloI wonder if anyone can help ? I have a pair of Play One’s (gen2) and an old zp80 connect hooked up to a (budget) pre-amped audio technical turntable. I have set up the system using S1 due to the age of the connect, paired the One’s as a stereo pair and they are fine when playing any digital music.BUT only one speaker can be heard when playing vinyl, the other one is very quiet ? I am by no means an expert but I was hoping that vinyl would work on both speakers without too much fuss, the Sonos kit is brilliant but I can’t afford to shell out hundreds of pounds just for an occasional vinyl session.Any help would be very much appreciated Thanks
Hi,One of my room system (master bedroom) is not showing up when I try to “cast to device” via airplay. However the room is available in the Sonos app but now showing up in the AirPlay interface. It was working before, and it suddenly missing.Diagnostic 1787442982
Hello,I have a four Sonos system - move, 2 one, and a sound bar. We have the wireless bridge hardwired to the router. when I play a song, it’s telling me that the song can’t be added to the playlist (even though the song plays for a few seconds) and then that song stops and a random song starts to play everywhere. not sure what’s going on, but I ran a diagnostic: 658950129Any Ideas? thanks!
So after updating to the new Controller - the connection to my Sonos system has become VERY unreliable. In all cases it is solved either by power cycling router or just waiting ages and keep trying. The router does drop out now and again - but even MS Teams can deal with glitches - so why is Sonos so bad at dealing with tiny blips in wifi ?Never happened on the old controller - seems like a windows vista moment for Sonos.
Just connected new Project turntable to amp with new cables it shipped with and sound quality is scratchy sounding and bad. Previously used a turntable with an older Sonos system and it sounded perfectly fine. Any suggestions?
Hello Sonos Community. I am having an issue when playing music from Spotify. When I play music from Spotify on more than 4 units grouped together, the music will cut in/out between the speakers for about the first 30-45 seconds of the song. After the first 30-45 seconds then all the speakers will join in and play together in sync. When Spotify naturally goes to the next song the issue is not present, but if I select another song before the current song ends then the issue happens again. If I play from Spotify on 4 units or less then this issue doesn’t happen; when I select a song all 4 units will play immediately, or within the first few seconds. The issue is consistently happening when playing on more than 4 units. It also seems to only happen when playing from Spotify. If I play from my local library on my iPhone or from Soundcloud then the issue doesn’t happen. I have been working with Sonos support for about 2 months now with no luck, so I’m hoping maybe someone else has come acros
Since the push of S2 last year, I’ve moved all my Play 1 speakers to the S2 app. I also have a Connect:Amp that is only used in the summer-time in our pool shed, and my plan was to have it on S1 by itself. My issue is that my S1 setup seems to be confused, and still has all the Play 1 speakers on it, despite them being upgraded to the S2 OS, and successfully connected to the S2 App. It also has the Connect:Amp on the S1 App, so it is a blend of old and new, which is my problem. The Play 1 speakers show as errors in the S1 App, and the App itself says its need to do an upgrade before it will allow me to remove any speakers. However, because the Connect:Amp is in the S1 App, the upgrade always fails with an Error 9. So I can’t remove any speakers from the S1 App, and I can’t upgrade it to remove any speakers. I have no problems with my S2 App setup - it is running fine with the Play 1 speakers all connected properly. The only issue I have is with my S1 App. Is there an easy way to w
Really disappointed with my pair of Moves. While the wifi connection sounds and works decent, the Bluetooth mode is horrible. It invariably disconnects from Bluetooth on both my Note 10+ and S8. Bad enough that there's no stereo pairing but not maintaining a bluetooth connection is embarrassing.
Got a Pro-ject turntable so bought the Port for it. Then was told to get a Pre-Amp which I did. Now having the following issues if I want to play streaming like Spotify then I have to unplug the connector to the Pre-Amp there‘a a buzzing sound when all is plugged in. It if I turn the volume really high then the buzzing sound is drowned but still there. any suggestions of what might be wrong. thanks
I’m sure there’s a better way to technically title this question, but I’m not sure what it is… So if this has been answered before, I do apologize… I had no idea what to call it to properly search for it.I noticed today that some of the audio from certain songs (and it could be all songs, I don’t have the most sensitive ear for things to tell--3 years in a rock band will do that to you) is missing. I don’t think an entire channel of audio is missing but I’m not sure. Here’s the best example I can give you:In this song, a weird cartoony voice says “Here we go!” after Mike Patton says “Here we go!” It happens around 3:37 in. https://youtu.be/apyj6H50QBU?t=212On my Sonos system, that weird voice is missing completely. Not faint in the background somewhere, it’s just solid gone. No trace. If you weren’t expecting to hear it, you’d never know it was missing. Here’s what I found:That voice is gone:If I’m Airplaying an MP3 from iTunes on MacOS to Sonos If I’m Airplaying an MP3 from Music on i
i can play tidal on my sonos play 1 from sonos app but not from tidal app because it won't connect
I just switched from Spectrum internet to T-MOBILE home internet but can't get my Sonos One speakers connected back to the WiFi. Does Sonos One work with T-MOBILE wireless home internet service? When I do the setup, it recognizes my T-Mobile network but my Sonos system can't be added to the network. Thanks for any help. I would hate to go back to Spectrum after I've cut the cord completely.
I have a Technics SL-1700MK2 turntable that is running to a Rolls VP29 Pre-amp to a Sonos Connect and then to a Sonos Beam. When I first set it up, without the pre-amp, the sound was very quiet and I had to have the Sonos volume all the way up just to hear anything. Then I added the pre-amp and it was fine. But soemtime recently it developed the same problem. I even sent the pre-amp back to Rolls under a warranty repalcement in case that was the issue. They returned me a brand new one but it’s still very quiet. If I turn the Sonos volume all the way up and sit right next to the speaker I can hear it, but that’s it. Any ideas?
I’m getting feedback/whine from my system whenever I play my music. I have a Reloop Turn 3 with built in PreAmp. I am connected by an RCA- Y cable to a Sonos 5 G2 and a Sonos 1 via wifi. The feedback occurs even on the Sonos 1 in a separate room. It’s not a constant whine but intermittent.
Hello fam, Since two days Sonos doesn't show my Library music from YouTube , when i click on it its showing ( Unable to browse music ).I did the step with reauthorizer’s the app but didn't helped.Any idea's please how can i fix this problem ?Many thanks in advance,
Approx once per day (not yet investigated if this is at a constant time), the Playbar, which I invariably keep tuned to TuneIn Classic FM when switched off, unilaterally switches to select TV Audio. It started doing this about a week ago having steadfastly stayed on Classic FM for many months beforehand barring the occasional power cut or network reset when it reverted to “No music selected”. I am on auto-update, so assume this “feature” coincided with a firmware update. Two reasons this should not happen. 1) there is no optical feed to the playbar, 2) The App switch “TV Autoplay” is off. A different Room (comprising a pair of Play 1 and a Sub) has a similar set-up, and steadfastly remains on Classic FM. This playbar in years gone by featured in a full surround system, but now stands alone as a simple radio - turn it on with the power button and up pipes classic FM. Having to dive into the App for this every time now is infuriating. Is this a known bug - and/or is there a workaround,
I suddenly cannot browse my "Your Likes" YouTube Music playlist anymore, it says "Unable to browse music" (diagnostic 1592426814). How can this be fixed?
Hoping I can get some help here… I have a pair of Sonos One SLs paired together as part of a wired Sonos setup; my Sonos Play:One is wired to my router. Everything works great… EXCEPT AirPlay to these speakers when they’re paired. What happens is at some point, the speakers both go silent after anywhere between a minute to an hour. The streaming app on my iPhone X (usually Apple Music) indicates that it’s still streaming, I can use the controls to play/pause playback, I see the scrub bar moving, songs are still advancing through the playlist, etc. but there’s no audio! I can even pause (silent) playback using the touch controls on top of the Sonos speakers which is registered by my iPhone, although I cannot restart playback. The only way for me to get audio back is to disconnect AirPlay from the speakers then reconnect to them, but the problem eventually (and usually quickly) returns. This ONLY happens when the speakers are paired. For testing, I unpaired them and I’ve streamed to one or
Hi all, just wanted to share my experience while setting up Trueplay on an ARC because I find it hard to believe what I found. (All measurements done without phone cases, mics on both iPhones work generally as expected in everyday usage.)I have an iPhone X (2018) and a 1st generation iPhone SE (2016). When I got my ARC a few weeks back I set it up using my iPhone X. I immediately noticed a massive change in sound. The sound became a lot crisper, clearer but also way to sharp, hissy, with a complete lack of mid range and undefined, spongy bass.I have to say I’m a hobby audio engineer so I have somewhat trained ears as I listen on linear studio speakers on a regular basis. That’s not to say I expect my Home Theater setup to sound equally flat (otherwise I’d not have gone for Sonos speakers). However, the ARC after Trueplay tuning sounded just terrible. And I mean much worse then eg. my Sonos One. It was ok for Films when reducing treble by 2-3 steps, but music was almost unbearable. I ran
We have Apple Music Family Sharing. My husband added his Apple account and my son added his account. However, when I try to add my account it will not allow me to. It allows me to add Apple Music but then for the log in, it is for my husband’s account and won’t let me sign in. It is the same result if I try to add Apple Music to Sonos on my phone or my Mac. I have no problems with directly using Apple Music on my Mac or phone. In other words, I can use my own Apple Music account. In trying to resolve the issue, I also discovered that I can not sign in to Sonos with my account information (email) and it automatically has my husband’s email and asks for that log in. I have deleted the Sonos apps and reinstalled with the same result on both my phone and Mac. What am I doing wrong?
I didn’t know about Sonos not supporting DTS until after I had purchased my Arc Surround System--ugh--and it never occurred to me that a premium audio company like Sonos wouldn’t support what remains the leading form of audio on what remains the best viewing experience for movies: UHD and Blu-ray discs. I have an Oppo 205 and was hopeful initially when I read various people report that Oppo does DTS to DD conversion on the fly. Let me confirm that IT. DOES. NOT. And I’m not sure why this misinformation persists, even in the face of Oppo stating unequivocally that they don’t offer this capability. Then I read a number of more complicated workarounds on Sonos and other audio forums, but I didn’t want to go through that much trouble kludging a solution for a system on which I had just spent $$$$. Finally I arrived at the Samsung blu-ray player solution--several models do DTS to DD conversion on the fly--but avoiding the crazy typical prices on ebay or Amazon for these long discontinued pla
