I added a new amp to my existing five amp system. All 5 A play and operate. New amp shows it’s added correctly and appears on my app however, when I attempt to play music, the selected song does not play in instead. Sonos app begins scrolling through my playlist. If I select another song, same thing happens.

A Sonos port (along with a suitable 3rd party external amplifier) should be able to setup with a Sonos Arc/Beam/etc used in lieu of the seemingly ALWAYS backordered Amp for Surround Sound. If it has to be Ethernet connected to the Sonos system or LAN, that is fine.Along the same lines, would be nice to see a multi-room Port with 4 and/or 6 zones in a 2U chassis for Custom Integration. Each of the 4 or 6 zones would also be able to be commissioned in a Surround config.

My basement bar has a TV, four wired speakers, Sonos Connect, two Play Ones and chromecast.I ran everything through an AV receiver and an old DVDO video processor (which just died) - the setup allowed me to listen to either the TV on all 6 speakers or music on all 6. Now that that video processor is kaput, does anyone know a simpler solution? 

I have been using my turntable with my Sonos Amp for years. I want to add a cassette deck. Obviously only one will be playing at a time. Would a simply RCA Y-splitter work so I don’t have to manually unplug and plug into the Amp input? Thanks!Adam      

I just bought a new TV and sonos arc. I also have a speaker system wired through the house that is powered by two stand alone amps and a reciever that is routing the source for that sound. I am considering a sonos port but want to know how i would connect the amps to the port and if the port will replace the receiver which is very old. 

Good afternoon!I’m in the process of renovating my basement.  I’ve included a schematic layout and I need the best way to power and control the speakers I’ve installed.  All speakers have been hardwired back to the AV rack in the utility room.  They’re cheap Micca 6 Ohm in ceiling speaks I got off Amazon.  And I’ll only be using speakers for music as I have a dedicated home theater elsewhere.  Ideally I would like to have 2 zones.  The first zone would be in the gym where there are 2 speakers.  The other zone would be in the remainder of the basement where there are a total of 5 speakers.  My first thought was to have 2 Sonos Amps, but I understand that since I have an odd number of speakers in total (7), that would cause an issue here.  Second thought would be to get a multizone amp and connect 2 sonos ports to keep the zones separate.  I also have an old S2 connect I could implement somehow.  However, based on my initial research, this option would likely be much more expensive than

Hi I am installing 6 ceiling speakers in my home with 1 amp. A pair in each room so I am after 3 separate wall volume control. Has anyone every done this and does It restrict the output or quality of the speakers in any way? Can you also leave a link for the volume control you have used too please 🙂 Thank you 

Hello,I’d like to record vinyl via my Sonos amp and am interested if it is possible.My set up is:Sonos amp Technics 1210 Pre amp Macbook ProI have vinyl playing through the amp fine (although the delay is annoying).  Can I get an input from the amp into my laptop so I can record my vinyl digitally?Thanks!

I have a Pro Ject Debut Carbon EVO TT connected to the phono RCA on a Marantz PM7000n amp. I have a Marantz CD6007 connected to the CD RCA on the amp. I have a Sonos Port connected to the amp via the recorder out RCA to connect to my era 300’s in stereo mode. Both TT, CD player and network radio all play music to my connected Sonos ERA 300’s. The issue I have is that every time I turn a record over or just lift the stylus from the record the Amp disappears from the ‘line in’ as a source in my Sonos S2 app. It states ‘source unknown’. The issue doesn’t happen if I change a CD.  I then have a nightmare waiting for the Port to display again in the app so I can select it as the line source. It just steps unknown until I close and open  the app a few times. It’s a right pain!! The port is set to source level 2 (AV component), line out is set to fixed and audio delay is set to 2000 ms. I’ve tried every setting in the app for the port to stop it dropping out from my app. Does anyone have any

I have an old Sonos Boost lying around that I used to run in an old S1 system. I no longer use S1.As I don’t need it anymore I’ve decided to sell it and thought I would do a quick test to make sure it still works. I have reset it but the new S2 app cannot find it when using ‘add speaker or component’.Are they no longer supported in S2?I have searched these forums but can’t find much info. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Everyone. I have a Soundboks Gen 4 Speaker with a Sonos Port that I use to play music in the garden along side the sonos house speakers. I usually move the speaker quite often and it's annoying having to plug the Port to electricity since the speaker has a big battery. I saw Sonos port has an input of 12v 1a, the Soundboks battery provides 14v. I have a basic knowledge of electronics but I think that is not too far apart and devices nowadays should handle that difference. My idea is to run the sonos port from the battery and make it mobile. Has someone done anything similar? Since I can't find any info Should I take the voltage down to 12v or Port sould handle the 14v fine? Thank you.

I have 2 issues: When playing a record on the turntable, I can only control the volume, etc from the Victrola app. The turntable does not appear in the Sonos app at all whilst playing. According to Victrola I should only need their app for initial set up and be able to use the Sonos app afterwards.  Having finished playing records on the turntable, all other sources, TV, streaming services become disconnected from Sonos. I have to unplug and reconnect my Beam to get  my Sonos speakers to recognise those sources again.  Any help gratefully received. 

Is the Network Matrix nowadays deprecated (ipaddress:1400/support/review)?I was just curious about that interface and if I can somehow improve my network based on those readings. Reason:For the past few days, I’d been having issues with certain music services not showing up on this list for addition. So out of curiosity I looked at the Network Matrix and other info. I was running my 4 x Sonos One + Port in SonosNet and all where showing green. Yesterday I then switched to Wi-Fi setup and still all were green later. Music services were not showing on the list.  This morning the missing music services came back to the list and was able to add Amazon Music. All has been working ok since. Out of curiosity I accessed the Network Matrix again but now it looks odd. There are no colors (just grey boxes), Noise floor is 0, 0, 0, 0 for all. The matrix also shows undefined entries. Those seem to be MAC addresses of the devices shifted slightly. E.g. the Sonos One 48:A6:B8:DC:85:17 shows also as u

I have a Sonos amp installed and using it for in wall speakers in my living room.  I want to add 2 outdoor speakers to my system.  I want to know if I use the same Sonos Amp, will i be able to run these 2 pair of speakers independent of each other with different inputs, etc…. If I can, what is the best way to make that happen?Thanks in advance  Chris

I just purchased a second Amp to use on our outdoor speakers. Both amps work independently, but when I try to connect them via the (new?) app on IOS, I get the message "Unable to connect. Try again later". I've followed all the suggested solutions given here on this forum and am now in the queue for a live person. Any other suggestions? Both amps will play music, they just won't sync up. Thanks!

I cant seem to find the details of the Sonos Connect Amp crossover anywhere. What I do know is that when an RCA wire is connected to the Sub out on the Connect Amp an 80Hz high pass filter is applied to the speaker outputs.   1. Is the subwoofer out low lass filtered at 80Hz? - seems yes, which is greatIs the speaker output high filtered?  Seems so, which is great. what is the order of the high pass and low pass filters?3. What type of filter? is it a Linkwitz-Riley?

The only way I could connect my Connect and Move so that they would be in perfect sync with each other was to have my two devices (turntable and CD player) go through a splitter then to the Connect and THEN to my receiver. The only downside of that was a 2 second delay so on the CD player having music start or stop 2 seconds later wasn't a big deal but it was weird putting the needle down on a record and not hearing anything for two seconds. But today I went to put a record on and…. NO delay?!?! Was something updated without my noticing it??

We are adding an addition to our home and I would like to utilize the Arc soundbar, two in ceiling speakers, and sub for TV watching. I will also be purchasing an Amp to control this.  1.) Does this setup make sense and can I run everything from that amp and the sound will sync with TV?I am also adding two outdoor speakers to the patio.  2.) Can I run the outdoor speakers to the same amp and use as a separate zone? Is whatever I am playing in the new room going to play on the patio? How would I go about making them separate zones? Two amps? A port?I feel like I am getting conflicting information online (shocking I know). This feels like it should be more straight forward. Appreciate the help Sonos peeps!

Not sure if anyone can help with this? I have a Sonos Amp connected to sonos one rears, aftermarket speakers and an aftermarket wired sub (REL). I frequently find that when opening the SONOS app, the Sub Audio where you can adjust sub level and crossover frequency is missing but then appears after some time of music playback or when i repeatedly go back and forth between settings. At times it does not appear at all. Is there a fix for this? The hardware functionality operates at intended but this missing menu issue is a fault I have experienced since I purchased the amp. I have tried to use the app on various devices (Pixel 6, Pixel 7 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, iPad gen 4) with the same symptoms.  Thanks in advance for any help with this. 

 I am trying to switch my port fro fixed to variable output but the setting is no longer available in the iPhone or Windows apps! anyone else having this problem? How to fix?

Does anyone know how long the connect amp two will be supported. Was thinking about purchasing one secondhand.
