I have been using my turntable with my Sonos Amp for years. I want to add a cassette deck. Obviously only one will be playing at a time. Would a simply RCA Y-splitter work so I don’t have to manually unplug and plug into the Amp input?

Thanks!

Adam

Hi @amfnyc, I would not suggest connecting two outputs into a Y-splitter. Sooner or later both your turntable and cassette deck will be on at the same time and that would be bad.

Spend a little bit more on an RCA 2-to-1 switch box and rest easy. Something like this …

Switches are always better than splitters!

Using a Y-Cable is not recommended.

Use a small mixer. Here is an inexpensive example.

Thank you. That switcher is exactly what I need!
