Hi all,I am new in Sonos family. I am trying to configurate my Sonos ecosystem. My actuall configuration is like below:1. TV in living room + sat dekoder2. Zone Amplifilter Crestron C2NI-AMP 4x100 in rack in the office. 3. Place for 2 incelling speaker in living room4. Place for 1 incellin speakers in kitchenI would like to add to this setup:1. 2xZP90 and plug in to the Zone Amplifilter Crestron - it will be responsible for two zones: firs for the kitchen second one for incelling speakers in living room2. Additional to above I would like to install Sonoc ARC and plug in to TV using HDMI ARC I have few question to You: 1. Will it work correctly? 2. Will it be any voice delay between ARC and incelling speakers? Mainly i am interesting about any delays between incelling speakers in living room and Sonos ARC. This is the same room. 3. Is it possible to make 5.1 system with Sonos ARC and two incelling speakers? Or I should make two diffeent zone and than group it togather? 4. How to contrl

Hi Everyone, I’m building a house and will purchase 5 Sonos amps for 5 zones of music. On 4 of the amps, I will only have 2 speakers connected to each amp. HOWEVER, on the 5th amp, I would like to connect 2 speakers (downstairs patio) and 1 speaker (upstairs patio). But i may not want both patios playing at the same time. Therefore, I asked the home electrician to wire in in wall volume controls at each patio door so i could control turning off a patio if desired. However, the electrician says the wall volume controls are outdated and he hasnt heard of this. My second approach is now to look at a speaker selector switch. But I know I have to be careful with what i choose so I dont damage the amp.  Does anyone have any recommendations on a speaker selector switch or other solution to my problem?Thank you 

H all, I have read several threads on this. I did manage to have 2 wifi SSID setup in the sonos app. However i wanted to share my experience and ask a question: Setup : i have 2 wifi networks, both in the same Lan. Room 1 : Arc + 2 surround Symfonik , connected to wifi 1 (main internet  box by Nowtv)Room 2: symfonik connected  to wifi 2 (TPLink powerline) I mention wifi1 and wifi2 because I managed to have both wifi SSID (name) showing up in the app under System \ Network  \ Networks. This would mean that Sonos app allowed me to register 2 different wifi credentials on the local network. They dont have to have the same SSID as I read in many post.I though i managed to do this by changing the wifi network on the mobile phone used for the setup. Worth noting: both network are visible in each room, with various strength, this is why i wanted to have both available so each speaker would use the most appropriate network. i dont actually know which networks is connected to which speakers sin

Does the Sanus Extendable Wall Mount activate the magents in Arc that adjusts the EQ for the wall?

I set the alarm with Alexa application for Android. I set it for the sound at the maximum. When I go to sleep, I listen to music with the volume low with a timer. The next morning, the alarm I set with Alexa with the volume at the maximum does not ring at the maximum but it rings at the level that was set the night before when I listened to music to go to sleep. Is there a way to fix that because if the volume of the alarm is too low, I don’t wake up.When I set the alarm directly in Sonos application for Android it works. The volume is at maximum. But I would like to have other choices of sounds for alarm and I don’t want to make music playing for the alarm. I think I can choose sound from the music library but I don’t know how to put something (music or sound) in the library.Finally, it is possible to set the alarm with Alexa to have the sound play gradually from low to loud volume. Is it possible to do the same with Sonos application for Android ?Thank you very much. Marco Porlier.  

First of all let me say that a great job has been done by Sonos engineers in software development and must be recognized. However, as mentioned by Sonos itself, the use of different IOs devices for sound optimization does not always work correctly. For this reason, no Android device can be used. As you know, the ipad devices can be used with external microphones such as the UMIK-1 for frequency response analysis. https://www.minidsp.com/applications/acoustic-measurements/using-the-umik-1-with-audiotools-on-ipadWhat about to develop the Trueplay application on IPad with UMIK-1 as quality microphone? I recognize that such software development cannot be considered a priority, but for installers and audiophiles it could be a powerful tool.Apologise me for the bad english. 

How can i combine two rooms (not grouping)? Why is it not possible to autoplay in different rooms? Why does the sonos app create a new room Dining Room 2 when i wanted to add a new product to my Dining Room? Why does the sonos macOS app have less options than the android app to adjust your current system (change room names, etc.) (makes absolutely no sense to me)

Hi I just got a Philips Sync Box for my tv. I am having a hard time figuring out the best way to set up all my devices most efficiently. I just ordered updated HDMIs as well Devices:Sharp 55" Class - 4K UHD TV with HDR Roku TV LC-55LBU591U Verizon Stream TV (4K UHD) Sonos Beam (with 2 Sonos One Gen 2, Gen 3 Sub, 5.1) Philips Hue Sync Box (w/ Hub, lights, etc) Sonos Port (for vinyl player) (dont think its relevant)I would like to plug everything into the Sync Box and connect that to the TV though HDMI/ARC. So i can sync music from Sonos and still have TV surround sound. Right now i have the Stream TV plugged into Hue, and Hue plugged into the TV. Then Beam into TV with HDMI Arc. Also this might be a Hue question but any advice for the “Enable ARC Bypass” and Dolby Vision Enhancec compatibility” settings would be much appreciated!Thank you!!  

I have a mix of new and old products and was running the S1 Controller App.  I was trying to add a Beam to my Sonos network but is forcing me to use S2 app which I don’t want to do.  How do I override and continue to use the S1 app - I have thousands of dollars invested in older Sonos equipment and have no interest in upgrading it.

I have 2015 Samsung JU7100 that has a proprietary HDMI switch.  Does anyone have this with the HDFury device connection to the Sonia Arc?Does the proprietary switch pass thru Atmos from an AppleTV to the HDFury » Arc?

Is it normal that the Sonos full mesh Spanning Tree Topology is always changing? We have about 20 - 30 Sonos devices communicating together and two Sonos boost devices that plug into our network.Every 4 minutes a BPDU with the Topology Change notification is sent from either one of the Sonos boost devices causing the edge switch on the production network to flush its CAM table and forward the BPDU with the TCN bit set to the root bridge on our network which will also flush it’s CAM table. The switches on our network run 802.1w (RSTP) so when the BPDU with TCN flag is set the switches set their aging timer from 300 seconds to 15 seconds and flush out their CAM table on all ports except for the port that received the BPDU and also ports that are actively communicating.I really don’t like the constant Spanning Tree Topology changes coming from the Sonos full mesh network affecting switches that are used on a enterprise network.  What is the best way around this? Hi All , I got a project sb deck for Xmas , I want to set it up in the living room. In the room I have a Sonos bar , a sub and two Sonos ones.  I do have the new generation  Sonos 5 in the kitchen but was really hoping to leave it in there. Is it possible to set up the deck in the living room without bringing the 5 in ?? mad you can imagine  I really don’t want to have the deck in the kitchen   

title says it all.  The spouse prefers Google home tiny tinny garbage speaker over SONOS, and I too am getting used to the sound, at least it has sound.

I’m running a pro-ject turntable into the sonos pre-amp and then a into sonos five speaker. Is it possible to add the sonos sub to this setup?bonus question: if I can add the sub, can that same sub be used with my sonos playbar, which is only used with the TV? (both are in the same room). thanks 

I have looked at many answered questions but am still confused.  I have, as my wife says, a Sonos addiction.  I have over 20+ sonos speakers, boost, amp etc.  I have trouble playing all at once or multiple rooms.  Many of the speakers are combined etc.  I own a boost, have 2 speakers connected via ethernet in an asus mesh system.  I am still losing audio or it takes 1-4 minutes for speakers to come on line.  I have read many articles of SONOSNET vs WIFI how to use my boost etc.  I consider myself a little bit of a techie but still having trouble.  With that many speakers, amps, connects etc.  What is the best way to set this system up.  It didn’t seem to be a problem until the the app update and the new line of speakers came out.  Thank you in advance

My default set up is to have my one sl in the office, one in the dining room and, beam in the living room connected to the main TV. However, I regularly stereo pair the one and sl together in the dining room and when watching movies I will set up the one and sl as surrounds with the Beam in the living room.When using the trueplay feature, does this overwrite all exisiting sound settings for each speaker or does it just alter the sound settings for the speaker in a particular room/ configuration?It would be good to have a feature that allows the speaker settings identified using the trueplay set up to be rememberred, so we don’t have to use trueplay everytime speakers are moved to get the most of the set up.Alternatively, sonos could create a saved configuration option, so don’t have to unpair from stereo in the dining room before setting up the surrounds in the living room. Could just select ‘custom config 3’ as an example and the set up would happend automatically. 

I have 2 sonos connect amps powering 8 bose outdoor speakers. I believe i want to setup outdoor subwoofers as well. 1) Can have a 3 third sonos amp added,  dedicated as the sub amp to set passive subwoofers. If so, would the sub signal come one off the other sonos amps running the bose speakers or can I plug the sub output into its own inputs on the same amp and can be controlled independently along with the other two amps. Also if true, would there be any delays with the signals matching up to the bose units when playing music.

I have a Sonos sub and it’s connected to the TV output. Playbar and 2 x play 1’s. I have a pair of play 3,s that I normally use to play my music on. Is there anyway to pair the sub to the play 3’s temporarily. Like a preset then allows them to go back to the TV once I decide. It’s just a lot of effort to unpair and add to the play 3’s and then add to the TV again. 

I would love to be able to pair my Arc with my two Moves for surround sound. As I understand it, I’m currently only able to set up Ones as surround speakers, but being able to do this with Moves would be ideal because I wouldn’t want permanent speakers for this. What I love most about the Sonos system is its versatility, and this one limitation is pretty disappointing.

I have an LG tv with an HDMI arc. This tv sits in the kitchen. The Sonos Amp and cable box sit in a cabinet in the next room. I have access to the tv's hdmi cable that is plugged into the TV's hdmi arc port. The Sonos Amp is connected to two ceiling speakers in the kitchen. I want to be able to connect my cable box to the TV in the kitchen and have sound come through the two ceiling speakers. I purchased a 3 x1 HDMI switch. I hooked the tv hdmi cable that is connected to the HDMI arc port on the tv to the HDMI output on the switch. I have the cable box connected to an HDMI input channel. I have the Sonos amp connected to a different HDMI channel. Obviously this set up isn't correct, as the cable tv sound is not coming thru the ceiling speakers. What do I need to do to get my cable tv sound to play through the ceiling speakers? Do I need an HDMI switch with arc? I don't have any Sonos soundbar connected to the TV.

Hello all,I recently invested in all new equipment including 5 Sonos Amps, 1 Sonos Port and 2 Sonos One SL units.  The Sonos Port is connected to my new Onkyo TX-NR696.  I purchased this unit specifically for the “Works with Sonos” integration.I’m running into a very frustrating problem.  The “Works with SONOS” features (SONOS app volume control, input switching) stop working as soon as my 2nd Sonos One is powered on.  Currently the Onkyo, all 5 SONOS amps and the port are connected via ethernet to the same network switch.  In this state, I can get into the Onkyo Hardware Menu, go to “works with sonos” and it will find all these SONOS devices and I can select the “Living Room Port” and everything works as advertised.  If I plug in (power only as the One’s are connected via WiFi) 1 of the One SL’s, everything will continue to work.  Once I plug in the 2nd One SL the Onkyo integration stops functioning.  (No volume control, input switching, etc).  If I go into the Onkyo menu and attempt

I have two SL pairs. One in living room, one in office. Last week they stopped working as two sets of paired speakers. Only way I can get to produce sound is to unpair one set, that is paired in office and unpaired in living room. Doesn’t matter which I unpair I get same result.  I’ve reset to factory default and reinstalled. No change.  Ideas or solution appreciated.
