What to get

Hi everyone,Currently I have in ceiling speakers connected to a Sonos amp, which i use mainly for music. I would like to wirelessly have my tv sound go through the in ceiling speakers. The amp is located in my mechanical room in my basement and my tv is located on my main floor. The in ceiling speakers’ wiring is all routed to the mechanical room. Currently I can watch something on my IPad and Appleplay only the sound to the speakers. I was hoping I could do something similar with my tv. Any ideas?

Why are arc entertainment sets constantly out of stock ?, when ever I try to order one of the arc sub one SL sets it can never be bought and hasn’t notified me of it ever being in stock. come on SonoS do you want to sell these products or not?

Hi all!I currently have a Playbar, sub and two 1’s for surrounds. I was ready to use my trade in towards an ARC. Didn’t take long while doing a google search for a plethora of customer issues to appear. Especially seems to be the sound cuts out quite frequently. I have an LG OLED C9 series tv. If I understand correctly, most issues seem to stem from using the apps directly through the smart tv’s (a lot of different brands). Are these issues still present if you use a fire stick? Also, something seems to be up with the Nintendo Switch? I can’t quite understand what’s going on there.  I don’t NEED the ARC but i like toys and it seems like this has the potential to be pretty darn cool. Thanks in advance. Btw...idk if it matters but I use my current Sonos for 90% tv/movies and the rest for music 

I have a Connect:Amp being used to connect a turntable (Line In) to my living room. Currently it’s just a Beam but the plan is to add Ones or Symfonisks for 5 channel surround. My question is if I use the Sub Out from the C:A to connect to a third-party powered subwoofer, will it provide the missing .1 or would it just send out a generic low level signal? My assumption is the latter, since the Sonos app forces me to create a separate room for the Amp that I can only group with the Beam room. If this is the case, is it even worth it to go the third-party route or should I just save up for a Sonos Sub instead? Setup would be used equally for music and movies/TV.

I do most of my listening (to classical,  mostly) in my very cozy den (about 9 feet x 9 feet, with a low, painted wood beam ceiling (about 6 1/2 ft.), with spaced beams coming down 4 inches from  the ceiling--TMI, I suppose, but I suspect these help the acoustics quite a bit).  Anyway, I have a Sonos One and love it. It is certainly loud enough for the room. But I've always wanted a really nice stereo and have never quite been able to afford one... So,  my question is, if I want to upgrade, should I be reasonable and just get a second One, or would a Five blow me away? (I have an eager prospective recipient if I decide to pass along my current One--in fact, that would essentially reduce the added cost of the Five because the One would be such a nice present.) Would the sound quality and bass be worth it even if I don't need the volume? Or would the stereo separation of two Ones be the way to go?

Hello,I am coming to you for advice on a stand for Sonos One SL speakers.I visited different brands and my attention turned in particular to Sanus & Flexson. I'd love to hear your opinion on this to see which one you think is the best, given the relatively similar price tag.However, I see that there is no stand that allows the speaker to tilt towards our ears, which is rather a shame I think. They are only visibly adjustable in height. In addition, I have a small space between the sofa and the wall and unfortunately I cannot move the sofa. Indeed, I have only 10 inches between the sofa and the wall. This is why I must also take this into account in my choice. The ideal would be to find a stand that places the speaker as close to the wall as possible without the support leg making me lose too much space between the wall and the speaker.Thank you for your advices !

I currently have playbar, 2x one SL, sub.  I have a TT with no built in amp.  If I want to connect my TT to the system what would be the best way.

I hear a lot of people around who are interested in a sonos sub, but don't buy it because it is glossy black.This is the same for me. I already own sonos one's en arc and would like to add a sub.Is there a possibility to order a black matte sub and import it as an alternative?I think the demand for a matte black sub is huge!

Hi-I own a receiver and a Connect (which powers two non-sonos in-ceiling speakers).I would like to allow the speakers to be able to play sound from both the receiver AND from wirelessly (via Connect)...depending on what source is providing the sound.Is there a way to wire for this? TIA

Hi everyone, I love my Sonos play 1 and my new Sonos move. My current wishlist is the Sonos Arc, sub and 2 play 5s to pair in stereo. Also would get another play 1 to add 5.1 surround.  Is this overkill?  It’s a small house, but I want to upgrade my setup. 

Good night I am wondering what to by for a Terrace 40' x 30' I was thinking 4 Sonos 1, 2 gen but just trying to get the best sound and what should I combine?Thanks in AdvanceJoel

Hey! I just upgraded to the Arc and have 2 Play 1’s for rears. I also have the new sub. Just wondering if jumping to the Sonos Fives would be worth it? I have a 16’ x 22’ movie room and I’ve read that the Fives are “too much” sound in smaller rooms. Thoughts? Thanks!

I’m new to Sonos and thinking of getting and arc or beam along with a Sonos amp to power my current non Sonos in ceiling speakers.  Firstly is the amp compatible with 4K TVs?Secondly, would I connect the beam / arc to the tv with hdmi and the amp wirelessly (apart from current speakers)? Finally, I gather my current subwoofer won’t work with the surround using the amp but would the Sonos sub work? Thanks

I am building a house in the near future (well, someone else will be doing the building!), and I am considering speaker options for our open plan living / kitchen / dining. The kitchen / dining spaces are diagonally behind the living space.  I am looking at the Sonos AMP with in-ceiling speakers for their simplicity and aesthetics. The speaker set-up will be used to provide sound for the TV, play music via Airplay from iPhones, and play vinyl records on my turntable.  I was thinking of getting 4 in-ceiling speakers, to position mainly over the living area. Or, two in-wall speakers and two in-ceiling speakers above / in front of the living space. This would be positioned well for stereo sound when watching TV, but also provide enough sound when listening to music in the kitchen space - I don’t really want to have two amps with separate speaker connections in this room. I may complement this with a subwoofer and the One SL speakers as surrounds behind the couch in the living space   Coul

Why would I want to upgrade my current Sonos speakers/playbar when it never ever worked perfect. You can’t get help with the crackling noise, you can’t find answers for your situation here at the website. You spend over $2000 on this and you would think you will get a good sounding system but it a piece of crap. I wouldn’t recommend this system to no one.

Hello, I have a play one so and wanted to purchase the stands.  However I don’t see anywhere for the Ethernet cable to go.   Please know before someone says “why do you need and Ethernet cable” that we do need it and that’s not negotiable so please advise if I can pull the Ethernet cable through this stand.  thanks so much

I order my Arc in late October from Sonos.com it was back ordered and didn’t arrive until late Nov.There was no information on setting up Disney Free offer. When I called customer support they said I was sent an email with info following the order conformation email. I checked all my email accounts there was not sign of any email.I contacted customer service they said it was over . I contacted Disney they were willing to help but needed the link on email that I didn’t receive .  Contacted customer service again to find the email that was supposed to be sent to me. They have not responded after several requests. Anyone else have the same problem ?  

I would welcome some advice please. S1 / S2 and Surround Sound  I invested heavily in Sonos over a number of years. My system in my home has 2 Play 5s, a Play 3, , 2 Sonos Connects, 3 Play Ones and several Play: 1s. I recently added the Sonos Ones so that I can use Airplay to the rest of my speakers by grouping with my Ones. Evidently, my entire system is stuck on the S1 controller. I want to upgrade to a surround package for the TV in my living room and was going to buy a Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 more Sonos Ones. However, from what I understand, I will then have two systems in my house. The new units for my surround system will be on S2 and everything else will be on the S1 controller. This is not ideal as it is nice to have music playing all over the house, especially for parties et cetera. Can anybody advise me because I cannot see a way that I can justify the purchase and then end up with a system that is in some ways worse than the one that I have?

Hi. I have 5 Sonos boxes and registered them all for trade up. I then bought a new Amp and sold a Connect:Amp. The trouble is that my trade up credit seems to have gone from a different box (a Connect) and the Connect:Amp that I sold is no longer showing as an available credit. There seems to be no control over which box the credit is used from and I now appear to have lost a credit because the box I sold is no longer plugged into my system. How can this be correct? Am I missing something here? I thought that having registered the boxes for trade up, the credits would always be available to me to use. Is there any way to get it back?

Hope someone can help.  We are creating a new large extension which will incorporate a kitchen /dining area and TV Lounge.  We would like our TV connected to a pair of bookshelf or ceiling speakers and would like an additional set of ceiling speakers in the kitchen area.  We want the ability to watch TV using ONLY the bookshelf / 1st set of ceiling speakers but if we want to play music when we are having a party/entertaining we want the ability to play the same sound from ALL 4 speakers.  What would we need to buy to achieve this with Sonos please?

Hi,I am wanting to add a pair of in-ceiling speakers to a Stratco gazebo roof, this area will not get wet but will be exposed to Melbourne weather.  The roof itself is insulated so the speakers should remain cool in summer. I know Sonos make a outdoor speaker but I prefer the look of the in-ceiling speaker.  The Sonos site does not recommend in-ceiling speakers outside but I thought because they aren’t directly in the rain & heat this still might be ok? Thank you. 

I have pre-wire for 5 in ceiling speakers.  Is it possible to use 5 sonos in ceiling speakers and use my existing sonos subwoofer for a 5.1 setup?  I have a playbar, but l’d rather not use it as it forces my tv to be too high above our fireplace mantle.  If so, outside of the 5 sonos in ceiling speakers and the sub, what else is needed to get it all operational?  Thanks for the help!

What do I need to get going. I want it all to be wireless as possible, but I can’t really find anything saying look here’s what you need. Do I need some kinda or Sonos connect or Sonos amp thing? I have Sonos play speakers and a sound bar. I don’t want to hook it up to a receiver, I have a small preamp if I have to use that.
