Question

What product should I pair with a turntable with a pre-amp?

Assume I am buying a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable and that I don't have any third party speakers, just a Sonos system with 8 speakers that include the soundbar and combination of original Sonos and Play One speakers and and Sonos sub.  Should I get the amp for the turntable and system or will a PLay Five be just as effective?

You could get a Five, Port, or Amp. The benefit of the Five is you would have an additional speaker. And Sonos’ best sounding speaker for music is definitely the Five IMO. But if you don’t need the added speaker and want something with a small footprint, get the Port. https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3548?language=en_US
